![]() I had some fun picking the colors for this one at As You See It #315! It might just be my inspiration pic, but these colors said SPRING to me, lol, so I decided to try out my new Excellent Eggs bundle! One egg to color and I cut out three more! This set has very fun dies - so many details we can add to three different sized eggs - the dies are totally why I got this bundle, lol. We haven't had a fun Easter Egg set for a while, and all the dots and stitching, the fun stripes we can play with - it was a must-have for me, lol. I had some fun pulling together this Bright Granny Apple background, and then coloring in the stamped egg - yum! I added a few of the fancy diecut eggs, and finished with some Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - such happy colors! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our playful colors - meet you at the challenge! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Granny Apple Green DSP (retired); Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo & Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Crushed Curry Stamp-n-Write Marker; Excellent Eggs & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Melon Mambo Glossy Dots; #AYSI315. ![]() Pumpkin Club Jan 27 at 2 PM! ![]() Oh gosh - AAA Cards #237 wants to see a CAS "shaped" card - this could be good, lol. Something approaching an egg shape was just too tempting for me! I broke out my old Ovals Collection dies, and cut this pretty scalloped oval for my base, then added a white-on-white layer of the next size down. I have this layer a bit by accident - I originally thought I would stamp something Easter-y and color it with Blends, and I didn't want it to bleed through, lol. But then I spotted my Chocolate Bunny from 2010 - WHEN did I stamp it last?? He had to come out, and then I couldn't resist a little grass layer, in our returning Lemon Lime Twist, with a few Berry Burst Flower Buttons, another returning color. SO excited! Hope I kept it CAS enough! A Wish For Everything (retired 2010) & Chocolate Bunny (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Early Espresso Ink; Ovals Collection Dies (retired); Fringe Scissors (retired); Berry Burst Flower Buttons (retired); White Baker's Twine; #AAA237. ![]() Thank You Cards 2023 April 15! When I think of Spring flowers, I can't help but always remember my beloved dogwood set, Soft Summer, from 2009. We had a huge sharp slope in the front of the house where I grew up, and it was entirely covered in dogwoods, with our old stone steps cutting through the middle - so dramatic! They bloomed every Spring at Easter, and ours were a creamy blush and white, though there were pink ones around, too. I always think of the Easter story associated with them now, too, and remember laying under them and getting rained on by petals! Such a happy memory! I can't wait to see YOUR Spring cards this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Soft Summer (retired 2009) & Daffodil Daydream Stamp Sets; Basic White, Pear Pizzazz & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, Petal Pink, So Saffron & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies (retired; Basics 1 3D EF; Pale Papaya Opal Rounds; Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon (retired); #RRCB204. ![]() Thank You Cards 2023 April 15! I knew right away I had to go back to 2017's Basket Bunch for this one - this row of fun Easter eggs can't be beat! I made up a festive panel and went to town with my Blends Markers coloring - so fun! I found this pretty checked sheet for my background in the Pansy Petals DSP, which had Soft Sea Foam as one of the coordinating colors, so that's how I picked my green, lol. I even slipped in some "grass" along one edge from the Basket Builder dies! I need a snack, now... Basket Bunch Stamp Set (retired 2017); Pansy Petals DSP; Basic White & Soft Sea Foam CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia & So Saffron Blends Markers; Basket Builder Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #Cookie167. ![]() New Horizons Suite Focus Class April 23! So glad I get to bring out my fave bunny of all time this year - 2010's Chocolate Bunny single, lol. He was so annoyed that the other ones were horning in on his turf last week! I managed to float him over a version of the sketch, too, AND, will wonders never cease, I actually used a DOILY! The pack just happened to be unburied form my desk debris at just the right time! I kept everything else fairly simple, but couldn't resist finishing with my Brushed Metallic Dots - love these embellies! Chocolate Bunny (retired 2010) & Basket Bunch (retired 2017) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight & Pool Party CS; Heart & Home Doilies; Early Espresso Ink; Brushed Metallic Dots; #FusionClothBunnies. ![]() OK, this is a tough one! Cardz 4 Guyz #292 wants us to celebrate Spring Equinox - help! I had to go look it up, to see if there were any particular symbols for Spring Equinox I could use, lol. Besides eggs, the rabbit or hare is also a symbol for Spring. Excellent, chocolate bunnies all 'round! Lol. I actually don't have to many rabbits, and my fave of the bunch was this startled looking fellow from 2017's Basket Bunch - tasty! I did a little collection of chocolates, using an array of our new Naturals Blends - such a great range! I once again floated everything over my beloved In Good Taste DSP - so fitting, lol. Basket Bunch (retired 2017) & A Wish For Everything (inside) Stamp Sets; In Good Taste DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; SU100, SU200, SU300, SU500 & SU600 Blends Markers; Basket Builder (retired) & Stitched So Sweetly Dies; Brushed Metallic Dots; #C4G292. ![]() Check out our Spring Flowers theme at this week's As You See It #270! So, even though it's a little bit of a "gimme" with our pretty inspiration pic, I HAD to go with our gorgeous Daffodil Daydream set for this one, lol. I love coloring in these beauties! I also wanted to make myself use one of the darker sheets in the Sale-A-Bration DSP pack we had that goes with it - I was so intimidated by them, but I was determined to break out! I'm actually really happy with how this looks, and it was good to slip in a little Easter sentiment, too! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for this one - meet you there! Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set; Daffodil Afternoon DSP (SAB Spring 2022); Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz & So Saffron CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Blends Markers; Daffodil, Stitched Shapes (retired) & Ornate Frames Dies; Artisan Pearls (retired); #AYSI270. ![]() Thank You Cards March 12! So, I love me a chocolate bunny, and yes, I ADORE marshmallow chicks, I can not tell a lie, lol, but I decided to reflect a bit on a different meaning for the holiday. Yes, we know so much more this year than we did this time last year, and we're finally getting closer to being able to gather together a bit more, but I'll miss being with my church family for the second year in a row - such a time of celebration for us! I know we'll get there - this is the Easter of hope for me... Itty Bitty Greetings & Hold on to Hope (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Playing With Patterns DSP; Basic White, Pear Pizzazz & Early Espresso CS; Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks; Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Stamp-n-Write Markers; Word Window Punch (retired); Cross of Hope Dies; #AYSI246. ![]() Fusion has a lovely match-up for us today called "Easter Eggs" - love this country look! Every time I see an Easter theme, I think I'll have to go through my retired shelves for something good - which I love to do, don't get me wrong, lol. But I keep getting reminded - Arrange a Wreath has Easter accessories, too, for a cute Easter wreath! So I finally did one today. I couldn't resist matching it with this fun DSP sheet from Playing With Patterns, I love all the colors! So I did up all my eggs to match. AT the last second, I realized I could fit in a little leaf ring for my wreath, too - yay! My proportions might be a little wonky, but I think I actually worked both sides of the Fusion today! Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set; Playing With Patterns DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy & Soft Sea Foam CS; Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, Purple Posy, Crushed Curry & Coastal Cabana Inks; Wreath Builder Dies; Playing With Patterns Resin Dots; #FusionEasterEggs. ![]() Perfect timing - Inspire Create Challenge #066 has an Easter challenge for us this week! I ended up doing a blend of old and new for this one - I don't have much that's current in the way of Easter sets, and the classic goodies I do have still have a hold on my heart, lol. Take Chocolate Bunny - he's just too yummy and too sweet to give up! And Basket Bunch has so many fun shapes and dies - I use it for more that Easter, really! And look at this sweet sentiment hiding in our old Suite Sentiments set - perfect! I added some pretty paper and fun die shapes and I was all set! Hope your Easter was truly blessed!
