Warmth of the Season

Another great theme from Shopping Our Stash #572 - "Up, up and away!"  They'd like to see anything we see in the sky!
It's always fun to do a quiet browse through my retired shelves, looking for a likely set to meet a brief!  I wasn't sure what I'd find when I finally made it to my Christmas section, but then Hearts Come Home from 2019 popped up at the very end!  And I thought, well, if we're LUCKY, we see the jolly old elf in the sky, lol.  I couldn't resist, though I tried to keep it fairly simple!  A landscape panel of Night of Navy for my little scene seemed pretty cool, and I tied some old Silver Cording Trim around the open end.  Next up to blend on a sky around my masked moon on my feature panel so I could "backlight" Santa on the job!  I opted for a single diecut layer of buildings below - I've always thought of this one as the church and parsonage, lol.  Just enough space for this sweet sentiment at the bottom!  Love it!
Hearts Come Home Stamp Set (retired 2019); Night of Navy DSP (retired, on envelope); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Blending Brush; Hometown Greetings Dies (retired); Silver Cording Trim (retired); Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SOS572.

Aw, these little travel cupcakes are adorable at Cupcake Inspirations #636!
I decided to look over my "vehicles" section on my stamp shelves, and one that really jumped out at me for travel was Glamper Greetings that retired in 2018!  I love this set so much!  Of course, I always get every camper style set and die collection we have for campers, but this little cutie was the very beginning for me, lol.  And so many fun ways to dress it up!  I added the cute detail lines today, and then decided o go for what I think will be my fave new In Color this year - Hydrangea Hue!  How retro does it look with Strawberry Slush??  I couldn't resist a few flamingos, too!  I think this is the BEST way to travel - my house has wheels!
Glamper Greetings (retired 2018); Hydrangea Hue DSP; Basic White & Strawberry Slush CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Hydrangea Hue, Strawberry Slush, Basic Black & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon; Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls; #CIC636.

I couldn't resist Inspire Create Challenge #214's "water" challenge - we have so many awesome seashore sets right now!
I couldn't resist featuring Relaxing Waterside again today - I had another one of the pretty shore scenes from the DSP I could use, too!  This bluff looking over the sand is EXACTLY where I'd park my comfie reading chair, for sure - I am a dedicated loafer and reader at the beach!  I had really been wanting to break out the book and "chapter" sentiment - too cute - and I can hear the little gull saying, "What are YOU looking at, eh?"  Lol.
Relaxing Waterside Stamp Set & Dies; Waterside Retreat DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Gray Granite & Pecan Pie Inks; Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, Misty Moonlight & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Blender Pen; 1 1/4" Circle Punch; Pebbles Enamel Shapes (retired); #ICC214.

Sympathy Blooms

CAS on Friday #332 is calling for sympathy cards this round - so much easier to have these on hand than to make them in the moment for me, sigh.
I like to feature botanical elements on my sympathy cards, and I actually have a few new floral sets on hand to break in - I don't really get too many new flowers these days!  I couldn't pass up the gorgeous new Valley in Bloom suite - I don't have any lily of the valley sets!  Today's card features a delicate urn found in the scrapping add-on bundle Lilies in Bloom - some really cool detail dies in this one, too.  I stamped and colored up my arrangement, tucked in a little die detail behind, then floated this sweet sympathy from the Prayers & Promises set over it.  I'm really pleased with the look!  A few Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots add the final touch.  This will be a good one to have on hand!
Life in Bloom Stamp Set & Dies; Prayers & Promises Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist & Blackberry Bliss Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots; #CASOF332.

Good times!  Christmas Crafts All Year Round is featuring G and H for April!
I knew right away I wanted to do "G" for gingerbread!  How not, when I have this big beautiful Gingerbread Man bundle still, lol - I LOVE these guys!  I decided to do two of them for this card, heat embossed in White over Crumb Cake, both leaning in for a photobomb, lol.  I think they look even cuter over this Basic Beige background that I embossed with the Christmas Tidings folder, too!  I tucked in a few peppermints, as well as some Peppermint Dots, of course, lol, and floated the whole thing over a tiny Cherry Cobbler border.  Who's ready for cookies??
Gingerbread Man Stamp Set & Dies; Marbled Elegance & Crumb Cake DSP; Basic White, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Beige & Crumb Cake CS; Versamark & Cherry Cobbler Inks; White EP; 7/8" Circle Punch; Christmas Tidings EF; Peppermint Dots; #CCAYRApr26.

Yum!  If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #215 is all about April showers!
As soon as I saw those cute yellow slickers, I knew I wanted to ink up last year's Playing in the Rain - these guys are just adorable in their raincoats!  I used another piece of that Sunny Day DSP from my Pool Party scraps folder, that showed both rain AND clouds, and then colored up my two raincoated friends here, lol.  They both needed yellow slickers for the cookies, and I made the umbrellas be Pool Party to go with the background - and it was so fun to color away, too!  Now all I need is the cookies, lol...
Playing in the Rain Stamp Set & Dies; Sunny Days DSP (retired); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Barely Blush & Cajun Craze Blends Markers; Pearl Berries (retired); #Cookie215.

We have such a sweet recipe for you this round at As You See It #371!  Can you find all the ingredients?
I'm slipping back again to that gorgeous sheet of tiny Barely Blush blossoms from the free pack of Bloom Boutique DSP I scored, lol.  All you people out there making me celebrate pink this month, this is what you get!  Bwahahaha!  Anyway, after that decision, I went hunting for a good one-word sentiment - and I landed on "blessings" from our Blessed Beginnings bundle!  I actually got this one for the cute little church building in it, but I've used this sentiment a LOT, lol.  For my floral element, I went back to 2009's Soft Summer for this gorgeous dogwood branch - perfect for the word!  I managed a few dies - I'm especially proud that my frame shape got a second pass through with our current POTM the Eyelet Blooms die!
I can't wait to see what YOU cook up for us this round - meet you at the challenge!
Soft Summer (retired 2009) & Blessed Beginnings Stamp Sets; Bloom Boutique DSP; Basic White, Barely Blush & Flirty Flamingo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Flirty Flamingo Inks; Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent (retired), Barely Blush & Flirty Flamingo Blends Markers; Heirloom Frames (retired), Textured Notes & Eyelet Blooms Dies; Pretty in Pink Shimmer Gems; #AYSI371.

I am SO SUPER THRILLED to guest today at Seize the Birthday #325, where the topping is "primarily pink!"  I hope you can play along, too!
I actually received a little surprise in my first pre-order shipment from SU! - a pack of the Bloom Boutique Specialty DSP!  I called in to confess, but I got to keep it, lol, even though this wasn't really on my radar.  After I checked it out, though, I realized that it had all our new In Colors in it - score!  This delicate floral sheet features our newest and palest pink - Barely Blush!  I also recently ordered the Lovely Arrangements bundle - I really just wanted the dies, but that stamp set features these two larger flowers, so I used them to coordinate with the DSP, and also cut some gold leaves to pick out some of the gold highlights.  Even though all these flowers aren't my usual wheelhouse, I'm really pleased with how this came out!
I hope you can join us this round at Seize the Birthday - see you there!
Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set & Dies; Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set; Bloom Boutique Specialty DSP; Basic White, Barely Blush & Gold Foil CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Barely Blush Blends Marker; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Barely Blush Dots; #STB325.

Waterside Cuppa

Time for a new rainy challenge for First Cup Challenge #13!
I didn't exactly go rainy for this one, but I decided this lakeside view would be almost as good!  It also gave me a chance to play with the fabulous Relaxing Waterside dies, too - I see many adirondacks ahead, lol.  None of the Waterside sentiments seemed quite right for a coffee-forward card, so I pulled this sweet coffee heart from 2017's Merry Cafe - it's the perfect touch!  When I colored in my coffee cup with a Misty Moonlight Blend Marker, it seemed too dark, so I pulled off a bunch of color with a Color Lifter to lighten it up a tad.  I think it worked great!  I'd like a cuppa here, myself - here's dreaming!
Relaxing Waterside Stamp Set & Dies; Merry Cafe Stamp Set (retired 2017); Waterside Retreat & Misty Moonlight DSP; Basic White, Misty Moonlight & Pecan Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Misty Moonlight Ink; Misty Moonlight & Color Lifter Blends Markers; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #FCC13.

Umbrella Weather

Keeping an eye on the weather?  We want you to celebrate rain this round at Retro Rubber #270!
I totally couldn't resist pulling my old Weather Together bundle from 2018 for this one - I still love it so much, and I love the dies that allow you to mix and match handles and canopies to your heart's content, lol.  There are even some little detail stamps for extra decor on your umbrella!  I happened to find this stray cloudy sheet in my Pool Party scraps folder, and I had to dig around to figure out it was from the Sunny Days DSP pack in 2024's Sale-A-Bration.  Remind me never to stick unidentified sheets of DSP in the cardstock folders again, OK?  Anyway, once I finally figured out what pack it was, I was able to work out some of the coordinating colors to add to my umbrella - how cool does Evening Evergreen look with Pool Party?  I love it!
I can't wait to see YOUR rainy day projects, too - and don't forget to make it RETRO!
Weather Together Stamp Set (retired 2018); Sunny Days DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Gray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Lost Lagoon Inks; Evening Evergreen (retired), Crumb Cake & Pool Party Blends Markers; Umbrella Weather Dies (retired); Pearl Berries (retired); #RRCB270.
