Nacho Embellished Ornament

Check out this bold sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #330!  I'm combining with the Christmas colors at Nacho Average Challenge #186, too!
I put together a quick rendition of the sketch pretty easily today, lol.  Christmas is back in full swing, as you can see!  I was worried I'd have too much "vanilla-space" at the bottom, but then I added a little Pine Bough embossing, which goes well with the ornament, I think.  This card is in honor of the 12 foot Christmas tree we finally had delivered on Saturday, all decorated and sweet - lighting up our holiday.  Yes, sometimes I sneak downstairs and lay with my head underneath it to soak in the Christmas spirit - shh...

Loving the yummy gingerbread colors at this week's Sunday Stamps #141!  Let's see how it likes being married to this week's Stamp Ink Paper #77, too!
I really thought I'd be making a Christmas card with this combo today - it's the most wonderful time of the year after all!  BUT, well, I just finished addressing all my Christmas cards.  So, I need a quick Christmas break, lol.  Luckily, so long as you have a red bicycle to include, these colors also lend themselves to a botanical spread, too - yay!  I threw in a pretty lace sidebar, too - a senak peek of the Sale-A-Bration set Delicate Details.  Love it.

Yay - it's Fab Day!  We're keeping those sleigh bells ringing with this holiday color challenge for Fab Friday #102!  I think What Will You Stamp #93's Cookie Cutter Christmas will be a great companion, lol.
OK, so, maybe you might have noticed that in my good Cookie Cutter times, I've never actually used the reindeer image.  What?!  Yeah, once again, the first image that caught my attention, and induced me to actually buy this set, is the LAST one I used, lol.  Funny how that seems to keep happening, huh?  Since I had some ground to make up, I figured I'd go ahead and produce a HERD of reindeer today!  My cute little trio is very well-dressed, too, each with their own bowtie.  Because a reindeer knows how to dress to impress, right?
I can't wait to see you over in Fab-land - show me your colors!

It doesn't get much more festive than the candy cane challenge at this week's Merry Monday #225!  I'm excited that Global Design Project #65 has colors to help me out, too!
I kinda felt like I was flying without a net today - no actual sketch to interpret - weee!  Luckily, I have this splendid giant candy cane from Banners For Christmas, and the tasty sentiments in Candy Cane Christmas to go with - yum!  I kept it simple, but it's still bright and festive - I think this is my favorite sheet from this DSP!

Woo hoo!  What an achievement!  This week marks Case This Sketch #200!  Congrats, ladies!  This week's colors at Can You Case It #142 seem like a perfect match, too!
I had so much fun with my "wish" card a few days ago, I left the set out on my desk so as to keep an eye out for a new tasty cupcake opportunity.  Today is that day!  In fact, why not 200, in celebration??  OK, even I can admit that might be a little excessive, lol, but hey, it's the thought that counts.  Congrats to everyone at CTS - thanks for all the good times!  (PS. That embossed background is from my homemade embossing sheet from the squiggle in the framelits set!)

Perfect Pine

Today's sketch comes to us from Create With Connie & Mary #435!  I'm combining it with the lovely merry colors over at TGIF #84.
With these colors, I totally knew I was going Christmas theme here.  But what to do?  Go for something I haven't inked lately, of course!  Peaceful Pines saves the day!  Not only that, I used a few stamps from the set that I don't think I've EVER used - so there, lol.  I had to dig a little for an Early Espresso scrap that played nicely with the Warmth & cheer DSP, had a good success there, too - whew!  All the little details just seemed to grow into place - so happy with the final result...
Peaceful Pines Stamp Set; Warmth & Cheer and Adventure Bound (retired) DSP; Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Early Espresso Inks; Woodland Textured EF; Perfect Pines Framelits; Banner Triple Punch; Gold Sequins.

Alpine Christmas

Check out the funky offset columns in this week's Match the Sketch #153!  I'm going to mix it up with the Alpine Christmas theme at In{k}spire Me #278, too!
So, my main goal today was to figure out how to feature my Mountain Adventure set in the size constraints of the sketch, lol.  What do you think of my "perspective shot?"  This actually really grew on me as I pulled the last details together, and I'm so excited to find another sketch I can festoon with pine cones and branches, lol.

Christmas Wish

What's not to love about this simple and dramatic layout from Freshly Made Sketch #265?  I think it will go beautifully with the theme from The Card Concept #63, too!
So, I think I've settled on "clean and layered" as my go-to style.  I did add in some extra details here, but I tried to keep it fairly low-key.  I loved the "wish" sign from the inspiration pic, and the pine branches, but I wanted to keep the stamped details pretty sparse, so I went with the foliage ring in the Places You'll Go set.  Such a delicate wreath it makes!  And I had this big "wish" from Sweet Cupcake, interesting reversal of image and sentiment for me.  A couple extra color and texture details tied it all together.  Yay!
Places You'll Go & Sweet Cupcake Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler CS; Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Cupcake Cutouts & Layering Circles Framelits; Boighs & Berries EF; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; PL Corner Rounder Punch.

Oh wow - cool sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #299!  I'm combining it with these juicy colors over at Color Throwdown #421, too!
For my three little repeating shapes, I decided to pull out my Totally Trees set, and make them funky colors per the throwdown, lol.  I knew this set wouldn't last ({SOB} it's on the Holiday Retiring List) but I just couldn't resist the cute retro look of it!  I seem to always gravitate to Here For You for sentiments for it, too - a perfect match!

Starlight Gift Notes

So glad I have Star of Light so that I can play this week at What Will You Stamp #92!
I decided to play around with something a little different today.  Now's the time of year I put together some little appreciation gifts for my various Boards and circles, so why not try it with Star of Light?  Today I made a little set on gift notes and envelopes, all tucked in a glassine bag that I also decorated and made a tag for.  Super fun!  I have to admit, I haven't stamped on our glassine bags yet, and it works a dream!  I also got to play with the 3-D star in the accompanying Starlight Thinlits - so many firsts today, lol!
Star of Light Stamp Set; Glassine Gift Bag; Whisper White Smoky Slate, Dapper Denim & Pool Party CS; Silver Glimmer Paper; Pool Party & Dapper Denim Inks; Starlight Thinlits; Scallop Tag Topper & PL Corner Rounder Punches; Silver 1/8" Ribbon; Silver Thread; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; Mini Clothespin.
