 Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the cutest sketch of all? Sunday Stamps #348, that's who! Sorry, I couldn't resist, but that's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw this one! Luckily, I'm playing with shapes a bit, too! I decided to do a sweet Christmas card, with a set that I haven't used nearly enough - Shepherd's Care! I did a broad starry background using the retired O Holy Night DSP, then used a Nested Essentials die for my main shape. I'm all in blues this round with Night of Navy, but I smudged a few spots of the image with a blender pen! I added this calm sentiment, and a big embossed star to finish. So pretty!  Such a great combo this round at In{k}spire Me #546! Great colors! I finally decided there were a few Adventurous Sky colors in this combo - I can just add the ones I still need, right? I started by setting up a Take to the Sky DSP background, and then did up a trio of planes in Night of Navy, Boho Blue & Pumpkin Pie - it's an airshow! I stuck in some strategic clouds to make up more elements of the sketch - I might be a little obscure today, lol. I did finish with a few Smoky Slate Pearls, too - I might be throwing in everything I have in the right colors, lol. I knew right away I was totally pulling out my old Acorny Thank You set for this one - all the way from 2015, and I STILL get a kick out of punching mix and match acorns with it, lol. I went for some Fall-ish colors this time, and pulled in this pretty background from our retired Plaid Tidings DSP - such a perfect variety of colors and plaids! Then I went to town on my acorns, first stamping a mix of the nuts, then going back and adding hats to them all, lol. I finally settled on the big sentiment acorn to finish - sometimes that's all you need to say! I can't wait to see YOUR acorns or seeds - meet you at the challenge! So besides feathers themselves, we could also pick out something from the TPP - that's turkeys, pheasants or peacocks to all us non-farmers, lol. I went hunting through my critter sets - I thought I had a pheasant, but apparently not. After some thought, I rummaged through my "mixed holidays" sets, and found Gift Givers from 2011 - STILL a great set! Anyway, I think this is my first time using this turkey image - yes! He was so handsome, I did him up two coordinating buddies to hang out, too, so they won't be lonely, lol. Quick and super fun - definitely brought a smile to my face! I couldn't resist trying for a Christmas card with these - I've really been getting in to non-traditional colors for the holidays! I decided 2022's Spruced Up would be a good choice - with a quick home-made background for different colored trees, I could get in all these colors! I'm pretty happy with how this came out - and I'm so glad I decided to heat-emboss the sentiment on Gorgeous Grape to finish, too - so much whimsy! Who knew there even was such a thing, lol, but I was totally relieved that after a big dig, I found a set that DID show some good socks, lol. After that, it all came together pretty well! I knocked out Bold Colors and Geometric Patterns straight off by pulling in this squares sheet from the Full of Life DSP pack. Next up I stamped this adorable reader from last year's In The Moment, with a snuggly dog, and added just a touch of color - especially to the Socks! I kind of feel like I nailed the Kindness AND the Be Yourself items, too, but I'll let greater minds decide on that, lol. Just to be safe I finished with a few Sequins anyway, lol. I'm really pleased with how this one came out - I had almost forgotten about this stamp set! For today's snowflakes, I turned to last year's Wishes All Around bundle - my heart, the dies! I was most enamored of the modern tree ring stamp and die last year, and did lots of renditions of that, lol. BUT, there's also a snowflake wreath - yes! So today's card features that, with a few extra single flakes, all floating over this glorious flocked sheet from our old Snowflake Specialty Vellum pack. Snowflakes in every bite, lol.
