I keep turning back to this square one from the Peaceful Season bundle - I love the stitching and pretty corner details! So I mixed them with a sentiment, and our gorgeous Season of Elegance DSP - I think these were made for each other! I finished with three tiny Festive Pearls in gold - love these cuties! ![]() Check our our lovely window sketch this round at Retro Rubber #244! You know that gorgeous arch shape sent me straight to my Garden Meadow Dies, lol - it's just so perfect for the sketch! At that point, I could bring in the retro with my Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set from 2022 - don't they look fab in that window?? I laid this pretty sentiment over the bottom, love these shapes all together, then tucked in just a touch of greenery, also from that stamp set. I couldn't help finishing with a few Peppermints, too, lol - we're just all minty fresh today! I can't wait to see your take on our fun sketch - and don't forget to make it Retro! Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set (retired 2022); A Little Bit Festive DSP; Basic White, Old Olive & Crumb Cake CS; Real Red & Old Olive Inks; Candy Cane (retired), Garden Meadow & Nested Essentials Dies; Peppermint Dots; #RRCB244. ![]() Yum! We want to see your food and/or drink this round at Make My Monday #239! I couldn't resist pulling in my new Perfect Pairs set again for this one - what's better than milk and cookies? I really love this simple set - such cute images, easy to fussy cut, and the little sentiments are just right, lol. Anyway, I stamped a couple cookies and my milk carton, and colored everything up with Blends for some serious cuteness! A little Pool Party twine, a few Pool Party Enamel Hearts, and I am all set! I hope you feel like a snack and come join us! Meet you at the challenge! Perfect Pairs Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Crumb Cake, Mocha, Pool Party & Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers; Birchwood EF; Pool Party Twine; Pool Party Enamel Hearts; #MMM239. ![]() Ugh - this isn't a holiday - it's a nightmare!! Lol, Festive Friday #0172 has an inspo list for Black Friday!! It was super tempting to use my shopping cart set for this one, but I bet it's going to get a lot of play this round, lol, so I went another way! I haven't inked up my Trucking Along set in quite a bit, and it struck me that I could slip in some black and red together in a pretty low key way with the truck! This let me also include some neutrals, some texture, some twine - yay! So, I have black and red on my truck, some linen thread for twine, some neutral color with my Smoky Slate DSP, some texture with my snow puff paint, and obviously this guy is Christmas Tree SHOPPING, lol. Yay, what fun - maybe Black Friday isn't so bad after all, lol! Trucking Along Stamp Set; Smoky Slate DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & White Glimmer CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Inks; Trucking Along Builder Punch; Snowfall Accents Puff Paint; Linen Thread; White Loose Snowflakes; #FF0172. ![]() Adorable! Time Out Challenge #276 wants us to be cozy this round - just in time! We actually turned the heat on for the first time last night - getting a little chilly finally here in Arizona! I started browsing my Shelves of Retirement, and turned out a few likelies - and then all bets were off when I got to Homemade Kindness! What's cozier than a sweet old timey stove, stacked with treats?? And the sentiment is PERFECT! I also thought I'd just see how long I can keep my plaid streak going, too, so out came another sheet from the still handy Plaid Tidings, lol, and I went to town coloring and fussy cutting my images. What fun! It was so satisfying, and I'm so grateful that no rang the doorbell while I was doing it!! So much little detail, lol, I would have ruined it jumping, I'm sure! Homemade Kindness Stamp Set (retired 2018); Plaid Tidings DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Gray Granite, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Berries; #TOC276. ![]() Whoa! Tough one! The Male Room #192 would like to see a "kinetic card" this round - gotta add some movement! This is my chance to finally use my "wobbles!" I got this little bag forever ago, I think from Amazon, and they're little springs that make whatever you pop up with them wiggle around! It's kinda hilarious, lol. Anyway, I decided this sweet Bassett Hound wanted a wobble, lol. It looks like it's hugely popped up, but they totally flatten out! I popped this guy over some more plaid (I am SO on a plaid kick this week, lol) that he walked all over - see his prints?? This was really a fun one - I have to think what else I can use these springs on! By Your Side Stamp Set; By Your Side Card Kit; Gray Granite DSP (retired); Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Mossy Meadow & Gray Granite Ink; Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim; Green Speckled Dots; Action Wobbles (Hampton Art); #TMR192. ![]() Such a fun one - Shopping Our Stash #534 is called "time for a hot drink!" I have so many older coffee and tea sets - time to give them some love, lol. I was thrilled to pull out my Merry Cafe set and do up this pretty fall cuppa - love this sentiment so much, too! The Coffee Cup Dies make it all so easy, lol. Anyway, I put together this beautiful Autumnal background for it all with the All About Autumn DSP, and chose a sweet coordinating plaid from Plaid Tidings for the cup. A few Pumpkin Pie Faux Glass Dots adds some final detail! I can smell the latte in the air! Merry Cafe Stamp Set (retired 2017); All About Autumn & Plaid Tidings DSP (both retired); Basic White, Copper Clay & Basic Beige CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Coffee Cups Dies; Linen Thread; Pumpkin Pie Faux Glass Dots; #SOS534. ![]() Another pretty sketch from Sketch Saturday #763 - I love tags! When I finally settled on my sentiment for this one, I realized I'd have to turn the sketch - go me! I just really wanted to use this big beautiful "Christmas" in our Peaceful Season stamp set - so many combinations to build with this one! I placed the "Christmas" at an angle in Real Red, then added my "Merry" in Old Olive over it. Then I decided to add the "Cheer All Year" below - really makes a nice balance! I set up my DSP background using the Take A Bow DSP pack, and finished up my tag details with twine and peppermints. Kind of simple - but so festive! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Real Red & Old Olive Inks; Tailor Made Tags Dies; Real Red Baker's Twine; Peppermint Dots; #SS763. ![]() Such awesome wintry colors we have for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #451! I couldn't resist bringing on the peppermint for this one - how about in cocoa?? It's a cinch with our sweet little More Than Autumn bundle, lol. I first found this sweet plaid sheet of Balmy Blue for my background, then I jumped right into setting up the hot cocoa! At the last second, I switched from whipped cream to marshmallows, I really do love either! I tucked in some little canes, and then finally figured out how to set up my sentiment - Nested Essentials to the rescue! I can't wait to see what YOU make with our yummy colors - meet you at the challenge! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Balmy Blue DSP (retired); Basic White & Pebbled Path CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pebbled Path & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Pebbled Path, Balmy Blue & Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers; More Than Autumn & Nested Essentials Dies; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #HSS451. ![]() Oo, this could be really elegant! Inspire Create Challenges #180 has a shades of gray challenge! I decided I really wanted to play with my Encircled in Nature bundle - it has a lot of elegant details I can use, and I don't use it enough, lol. I started by stamping the twig wreath and some trees onto a Smoky Slate background, then I layered on some diecut details as well, before adding a tiny sentiment. I finished with a few Basic Gray Pearls, too. I tweaked a little, and in the end had to call it good - not sure I pulled off my "elegant" goal here - though it's definitely prettier in person, lol. Encircled in Nature Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate & Gray Granite CS; Basic Gray Ink; Encircled in Nature Dies; Basic Gray Pearls; #ICC180. |
