Oh lovely - Festive Friday #173 has a traditional Christmas inspo list for us this round! One Christmas set new to me this year is Artful Amaryllis - I love florals when it's something I don't already have, lol, and I had no amaryllis til now! So I wanted to play that set today, and I knew I wanted lots of gold, so in came my Season of Green & Gold DSP, which meant also using Very Vanilla CS! Whew, SO much coordination! Anyway, I've been on a full front background these days, and it lets me play with layers in a fun way, too - I try to always stick to two layers of dimensionals for a card, so it doesn't get too fat for an envelope, so this way lets me pop up on pop up, so to speak, lol. I liked this color band design, too - a little more drama never hurts, lol. Anyway, I wound up with red, green, gold, embossing and Christmas sentiment! Yay! Artful Amaryllis Stamp Set; Season of Green & Gold DSP; Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green & Versamark Inks; Gold EP; Artful Amaryllis Dies; Festive Pearls; #FF0173.

So cool - what a fun quote to play at this round's Time Out Challenge #277! I know JUST what to do! I'd say the attire doesn't get more festive than Santa's suit, right? Look at him getting ready to get all dolled up for us - thank goodness Mrs. Claus does his laundry for him! I've always loved this set, and all the cool little bits and bobs - all with dies, too! Maybe a bit fussy, but what an impact! Hope we all get a chance to get dolled up for a festive gathering! Santa's Suit Stamp Set (retired 2017); Take a Bow DSP; Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Crumb Cake & Granny Apple Green Inks; Nude Blend Marker; Santa Builder & Stitched Shapes Dies (both retired); Peppermint Dots; #TOC277. Ahhh, Shopping Our Stash #535 would like to see something masculine this round! I took a dig through my retired paper stash to see what looked good - score! I almost forgot about this Well Suited DSP, and I actually kept it JUST for masculine cards! I chose a couple of my favorite patterns, and then looked over my Handsomely Suited stamp set from 2022 that went with it - the dies are so cute! I came up with this design after playing with some pieces a little - I actually don't mind that the tie hangs down to far - kind of a fun shape! Finishing with a few White Milky Dots seemed just the thing! Handsomely Suite Stamp Set (retired 2022); Well Suited DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Night of Navy Ink; Blender Pen; Suit & Tie Dies (retired); White Milky Dots; #SOS535. Pumpkin Club November 30! Love this pretty landscape design from Sketch Saturday #764! The DT has so many awesome ideas! Looking through my goodies for a likely trio to feature took a little time - and I haven't dropped the Christmas bug yet! I finally realized my stash of tiny birds would be perfect! Still love this suite so much, and I added in this gorgeous traditional sentiment from last year's Christmas to Remember - such a festive font! These guys are super busy getting ready for their own holiday, I think, lol - the snow is starting! Christmas to Remember Stamp Set (retired 2023); Nests of Winter DSP; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; White Loose Snowflakes; #SS764. Pumpkin Club November 30! We have a gorgeous banner of a sketch for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #452! To get started on this one, I took a stroll through my retired DSP stash - even after a little purge, I have way more than I need! I got stuck on our still sweet Let It Snow pack from 2019 - it even has glitter on the sheets! I found this pretty snowy sheet - what do I have for snowflakes in stamps? My favorite by far is this cookie from the 2021 Frosted Gingerbread set - it doesn't HAVE to be a cookie, right? Lol. From there I pretty much followed the sketch, and added in a few extra details fussy cut from the DSP where I could - so cute! I can't wait to see what YOU make with our sketch - meet you at the challenge! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set (retired 2021); Let It Snow DSP (retired); Basic White & Real Red CS; Coastal Cabana & Real Red Inks; Gingerbread & Stitched Shapes Dies (both retired); Banners Pick a Punch (retired); Peppermint Dots; #HSS452. Inspire Create Challenge #181 is my fave - Christmas! I couldn't resist going back to my favorite combos - a glorious sentiment from Greetings of the Season, paired with the stunning Season of Green & Gold DSP! I cut out the largest tag size for this sentiment, which I stamped in Cherry Cobbler - I love when we have multiple fonts together! I added some pretty pine sprigs and finished with some berries, and a bundle of Dark Red Perle Cotton for the tie. The lovely mistletoe sheet in the back really pops against a Cherry Cobbler layer, too. A simple design with a big impact! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Season of Green & Gold DSP; Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Greetings of the Season Dies; UKI 5/2 Cotton in Garnet; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #ICC181. We're going festive with our colors this round at Sunday Stamps #349! These beautiful rich greens and gold made me think of New Year's! And what's New Year's without a little champagne?? It took me quite a bit to piece together all the elements I wanted for this one, lol, but I'm so pleased with how it came out! I first identified that I wanted to use our retired Evening Evergreen for our darkest green - my favorite green ever, really. It's gorgeous with gold and a few touches of Soft Sea Foam! I stamped up the sentiment on Smoky Slate so I could pull in the gray tone, too - our Iconic Imagery bundle was just perfect for all the finishing details! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our gorgeous colors - meet you at the challenge! Iconic Imagery & Sip Sip Hooray (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Evening Evergreen DSP (retired); Basic White, Distressed Gold & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Evening Evergreen & Soft Sea Foam Inks; Gold EP; Iconic Imagery & Sip & Celebrate (retired) Dies; Gold Sparkle Gems; #SSC349. Another great combo at this round's In{k}spire Me #547! I thought for sure I was going to ditch those colors, lol, but then I got to thinking - would Countryside Inn and Season of Green & Gold play well together? Why, yes, they do! From there, I just needed something Pecan Pie, so I stamped the sweet sled from Sophisticated Sled and colored in the slats - perfect! Since it looked a little plaid on top, I added the Gold Foil swag, too. I love how it came out! Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set; Countryside Inn & Season of Green and Gold DSP; Very Vanilla, Gold Foil & Pecan Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Night of Navy Inks; Pecan Pie Blend Marker; Sophisticated Sled Dies; Small Oval Punch; Brushed Gold Metallic Dots; #IMC547. Time to get zooming with our speedy tree challenge at this round of As You See It #337! First up, choosing a stamp set! My retired In The Pines from 2010 was the winner for that - I actually got this one right when it hit the retiring list back in 2020, and I never got around to using it much. But I still love the trees and dies so much! I really like the hilly curves that are part of the dies, too. Anyway, I put together a loose plan for the design - I wanted to use more of my Season of Elegance DSP, so enamored with this stuff, and decided to focus on smaller trees on a tag shape from the Greetings of the Season Dies. I assembled all my supplies and started the clock! First up I cut the tag, then quick glued down a full card front and did my envelope flap. I stamped a larger tree and the greeting in Black onto the tag, then the little row of trees onto some scrap, and went back over the trees with their Old Olive fill-ins. I quick cut the smaller trees, tucked in some Linen Thread through the hole, and pop dotted to the card front - finishing with some tiny gold pearls - whew! Not too shabby at 8 minutes, 26 seconds! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with - start your engines! In The Pines Stamp Set (Retired 2020); Season of Elegance DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Old Olive Inks; Pine Woods (retired) & Greetings of the Season Dies; Linen Thread; Festive Pearls; #AYSI337. I'm so excited to play along with penguins at Cupcake Inspiration #606! So you know I totally had to pull out my beloved Penguin Place set from 2022 - these guys are still SO cute! And of course I still have the DSP, lol, so I set up this pretty snowy scene for them to play in, complete with a hill for sliding, and a few tiny snowflakes! I kept the background and penguin details in Fresh Freesia - close enough to the pink in the snowflake, I think! So fun! Penguin Place Stamp Set (retired 2022); Penguin Playmates DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Fresh Freesia & Peach Pie Inks; Penguin Builder Punch; White Loose Snowflakes; #CIC606.
