Ooo! What yummy fall colors at this round of Cupcake Inspirations #603! I quick ran to my retired papers to see if I had any Bermuda Bay still, lol, that's my favorite Turquoise! I was thrilled that I found an intact sheet of my favorite ever DSP stack pattern - this plaid pattern is TOO cute! I set up a pretty plaid background over Early Espresso, and stamped some cups from our Latte Love set for the rest. I know I've always been pretty focused on the DSP for this set, but I CAN stamp in whatever colors I want, too, lol. I colored up my cups in Pumpkin Pie, and smudged my two latte foams a little with a Blender Pen. I can almost smell the Pumpkin Spice here, people! Latte Love Stamp Set; Bermuda Bay DSP (retired); Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Pumpkin Pie Blend Marker; Blender Pen; Latte Love Dies; Neutrals Sequins; #CIC603. At first, I was totally gonna do more Fall leaves, we don't seem to really get those here in the Valley of the Sun, but then I spotted my beloved Pick of the Patch set on the retired shelves - gosh, I love these guys! Really, it's the crook-necked gourd that does it for me, lol, every time! Anyway, I decided to do a little trio of likely punks, and dress them up, too, with their leaves and curly vines - so cute! I tried to pick some cute colors, too, for the optional twist - how did I live without Copper Clay before now?? Pick of the Patch Stamp Set; Very Vanilla & Copper Clay CS; Copper Clay, Pumpkin Pie & Mossy Meadow Inks; Natural Tones Linen Thread; Copper Clay Speckled Dots; #AAA275. It didn't take me long to decide on the left column for my play - and I knew JUST what I wanted to do for it, too! I went straight to my retired Pretty Pumpkins bundle (2021!) AND matched it up with my Autumn to Remember scrapbooking kit DSP, too! I'd been wanting to cut into this critter DSP since I first saw it, lol, though it's a little strange that all the animals face every which way, hm... ANYway, I quick cut out a Crumb Cake tag for my filigree pumpkin from the Detailed Pumpkin dies, and paper-pieced on some Old Olive leaves and the stem. Then I laid the BEST sentiment over it, from another sheet in the scrapping kit - I love how it all came out! A few Old Olive Faux Glass Dots finishes it off! I can't wait to see YOUR tic-tac-toe move this round - and don't forget to make it Retro! Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set (retired 2021); Autumn to Remember DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze & Old Olive CS; Early Espresso Ink; Detailed Pumpkins (retired 2021), Nested Essentials & Tailor Made Tags (retired) Dies; Braided Linen Trim; Old Olive Faux Glass Dots; #RRCB241. RSVP now to save your spot! We want to see something "kid-friendly" this round at Make My Monday #236! Can I make a Christmas kid card? I think I can - with Christmas Friends to help me! I can't believe I haven't colored up the moose yet - as is typical, HE'S who I got the set for, lol. I knew I wanted some fun bright paper, so I pulled the dotty sheet from the Take a Bow pack, but I also wanted a moose setting! In the end, I assembled a few mountains using our old Horizon Dies - pretty cute! Next up, the dapper moose, who I decided should be whistling when I spotted the word bubble and music notes in his dies, lol. I hadn't even noticed those yet! I also went back to Merry Moose for his sentiment - everyone else has a tailored sentiment, so he needs his own, too! Fun times! I can't wait to see YOUR kid-friendly cards this round - meet you at the challenge! Christmas Friends & Merry Moose (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Real Red & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Christmas Friends & Horizon (retired 2022) Dies; Small Oval Punch (retired); Adhesive Stars; #MMM236. So many fun choices, but when I think dessert this time of year (OK, let's be honest, ANY time of year, lol) I think Christmas! And the most Christmas-y dessert I have is my Frosted Gingerbread bundle that retired back in 2021! So fun to plug in some inspo list items for this one: I think I got Pink, Brown, Cream, Colored Embellishments, Desserts and Food-Related Sentiment! Yum-mo! I started with this tasty background sheet from Season of Elegance, then did up three "cookies" for the rest of the colors - three shades of gingerbread, lol. I varied my "icing," too, and finished with some Pink Peppermints from an old Paper Pumpkin kit. Time for lunch! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set (retired 2021); Season of Elegance DSP; Very Vanilla, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Bubble Bath & Flirty Flamingo CS; Early Espresso Ink; Gingerbread (retired 2021) & Potted Succulents (retired 2023) Dies; Linen Thread; Peppermint Embellies; #FF0169. RSVP now to save your spot! Such a lovely Autumn inspiration quote for us at Time Out Challenges #273! Such a lovely quote cried out for a little effort on my part today, lol. I decided to pull out the stops with the coloring and play with my Brusho Crystal Colors again today - always good for some messy fun! I started with a whole sheet of our Watercolor Paper, put it safely on a "messy board, "and went to town with my crystals in yellow, orange and red. Then I spritzed with water to activate the colors, dried it with the heat gun, and went again. One more layer later I was happy with my results, and I made sure it was totally dry before I heat embossed my leaves in Gold and cut them out. They looked great against the Crumb Cake, and I stamped this perfect sentiment in the corner, before flicking some Cherry Cobbler ink over everything for good measure. Finito! I love it! Vintage Leaves (retired 2018) & Autumn Leaves Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Watercolor CS; Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler & Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Brusho Crystal Colors; Leaflet Dies (retired); Linen Thread; TOC273. RSVP now to save your spot! Finally! It's been so long since I've been able to sneak in to The Sisterhood of Crafters - and just in time for a "hello" theme! A nice big "hello" can be found in our cute Market Goodness set - and I haven't used it in a while - let's do it! I happen to still have quite a few already cut DSP shapes, including these adorable canvas bags, AND the bouquets, so that's what I used. I did this flower stand background, that I haven't used yet, yikes, and set up these two contrasting bouquets to one side. The "hello" punched out perfectly with our old Large Oval Punch - these things are so handy! I also had some Blackberry Bliss Heavy Baker's Twine in the drawer - just the thing! I really like all the Blackberry detail! Market Goodness Stamp Set; To Market DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Market Goodness Dies; Large Oval Punch (retired); Blackberry Bliss Heavy Baker's Twine; #TSOCHello. Another fun one from Shopping Our Stash #531 - "I'm leaf-ing it up to you!" Lol! I decided to dig through my embellie stash and see what I had for leaves - there were, ahem, a few choices. I finally settled on these pretty ones from the Petal Passion Embellishments pack - they have little pointed flowers, too, with a tiny pearl in the center. Nice! We'll just save those for another day, lol. Anyway, these little stems reminded me of our our retired Splendid Thoughts leaves - this was such a gorgeous set, it did NOT get enough catty time! I even still have some of the gorgeous Splendid Day DSP, foils and pearls - just so pretty. I pulled this minty sheet, and added the largest stamped leaves, then tucked in a few outline dies behind, and finished with the trinkets - perfect! I threw on a few tiny Silver Pearls, just because there were so many hints of it already! Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set (retired 2022); Splendid Day DSP (retired); Basic White & Soft Sea Foam CS; Early Espresso & Soft Sea Foam Ink; Splendid Stems Dies (retired); Petal Passion Embellishments (retired); Metallic Silver Pearls (retired); #SOS531. Lol, looks like there's a new angle at this round's Sketch Saturday #760! So, to get started, I took about 2 minutes to imagine getting the angles right on a card front WITH a border, and rejected that plan outright, lol. I do like geometry, but not that much! I took the lazy way out, and layered on three sheets of paper, the last one being White to match the background. Ta da! Lazy girl geometry! I knew I wanted to use my Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit, which has been giving me the hairy eyeball on my desk for a couple weeks now, sigh. It has so many fun toys in it! I chose this pretty DSP, and then found a sheet of super thin laser-cut wooden elements - they are so beautiful! I layered this lovely sentiment over some Old Olive, and threw on some extra leaves for a little decor. So quick and fun! (But NO stamps - crazy-pants!) Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Stylish Shapes Dies; #SS760. |
