![]() It was my turn to pick this round at Make My Monday #237, and I want you to bring on the spooky Halloween fun! I have another little stamp set from Kindred Stamps that caught my eye - did you know that there's a Voodoo Day?? Apparently it's September 12, lol, and in the spirit of celebrating wacky holidays, they created a stamp set for it! It just cried out to come out for Halloween, lol. I kept it ultra simple - Basic Beige over Basic White, but I did have fun fussy cutting my doll to add a little dimension - yay! Now, who can I send this to??? Lol! I can't wait to see YOUR spooky cards this round - meet you at the challenge! Voodoo Doll Day by Kindred Stamps and Potions & Spells Stamp Sets; Basic White & Basic Beige CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate Blend Marker; #MMM237. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 26 at 2 PM! ![]() Time to get spooky! Festive Friday #170 has a Halloween inspo list for us this round! I hopped over to the vault and pulled my pack of Ghostly Greetings DSP to start - oo, how about this cool sheet chock-full of bats?? I layered it over Pumpkin Pie, and just like that I have three things from the list already! I decided to go with 2016' Mr. Funny Bones for my stamp set - sometimes I'm just in the mood to piece together a whole skeleton to heat emboss, lol. I tried to keep him pretty centered as I worked, stamping and dusting each bone as I went along, because I couldn't really see where I was, lol. Look, he's waving hello! I've always loved this "humerus" sentiment, so I popped that up over him front and center (4 items now!) and added a couple of these Crow Enamel Shapes for my fifth items - shaped embellishments! Woo hoo! Mr. Funny Bones Stamp Set (retired 2016); Ghostly Greetings DSP (retired); Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Versamark & Pumpkin Pie Inks; White EP; Monster Bash Enamel Shapes (retired); #FF0170. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 26 at 2 PM! So many ways to go with Time Out Challenge #274's inspiration quote! After some thought, I decided to try a little bit of chalkboard action, but I also couldn't resist combining my older coffee sets with our yummy A Little Latte DSP, lol. I set up this fun coffee background, then created two coffee cups from our old Coffee Cafe and Merry Cafe sets - they work perfectly together! A pretty swirly cup with the "coffee helps" sleeve says it perfectly, along with the smaller woodgrain cup and a "you and coffee" phrase, lol. I think they look great together! I even finished with a few Swirl Dots! Coffee Cafe (retired 2019) & Merry Cafe (retired 2017) Stamp Sets; A Little Latte DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso & Versamark Ink; White EP; Coffee Cup Dies; Swirly Dots; #TOC274. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 26 at 2 PM! I knew right away I wanted to use my favorite dotty sheet from 2018's Frightful Sight DSP - such great colors! I combined it with 2019's Spooktacular Bash, for a chummy portrait block of monsters, lol. They're giving each other the hairy eyeball! It was fun to add a touch of color to each image - who knew there are Soft Sea Foam vampires?? Anyway, I also did the ornate back-frame for my sentiment - a bit of a clean-up job, but SUCH a pretty result! Later, Ghoulfriend! Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set (retired 2019); Frightful Sight DSP (retired); Basic White, Old Olive & Cajun Craze CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, Gray Granite & Soft Sea Foam Blends Markers; Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Iridescent Rhinestones; #SOS532. ![]() Pumpkin Club October 26 at 2 PM! I'm excited that this is another chance to jump into a pre-order set - only one left after today! For now, let's take a look at the upcoming Umbrella Days bundle - I'm really stoked by another set with this artwork style, it's gorgeous! It also has awesome dies, I played a little bit with a few of the extras - like the raincoat for the dog, the boot tops, and some umbrella canopy pieces, too, which I admit are a little weird, lol. I don't usually go for all the little bits and bobs, but as soon as I saw the dog sweater, I was a goner, lol. I dug out this sheet of DSP from my old Sunshine & Rainbows pack for a background, then started building some circles. I added the rain streaks image behind the boy, and the extra sentiment, too. With all these details, I ended up liking the result better than I thought I would, lol, though I took some tiny liberties with my layout - I just couldn't stay that symmetrical! Umbrella Days Stamp Set; Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (retired); Basic White, Smoky Slate & Daffodil Delight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pool Party Inks; Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Nude & Night of Navy Blends Markers; Umbrella Days & Deckled Circles Dies; Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon; Raindrop Enamel Drops (Paper Pumpkin?); #SOS761. ![]() Super stoked to play again in NBUS #67 - so many new goodies, so little time! Today I have another preview set to share - I was so tickled by the images and sentiments in Perfect Pairs that I couldn't resist! I decided to go for a "black and white and one color" kind of scheme, so I could feature the adorable salt and pepper shakers! I even added the little smiley face to both of them, because they just love being together, lol! I found this dotty sheet in my retired Zoo Crew DSP pack - I really haven't used the black and white sides much at all because I've been so smitten with the cute critters on the other side, but this one was perfect! I layered it on Gray Granite, so I could color my shaker tops in the same color, and snip them out. They look super chummy on their Granite Stitched Oval, and I even tacked in some Metallic Black thread behind that - I never use that stuff! A few Iridescent Black Pearls is the perfect finishing touch! Perfect Pairs Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP (retired); Basic White & Gray Granite CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Gray Granite Blend Marker; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Metallic Black Thread (retired); Iridescent Black Pearls; #NBUS67. ![]() What a cool layered sketch we have for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #449! This is a great chance for me to show off some upcoming Online Exclusive releases! I actually went ahead and got a combo that is a TINY bit outside my usual stomping ground, lol - lots of hot pink AND weddings! Don't get to say that too often, lol. Anyway, I took one look at the cool car caboose image in the Classic Wedding bundle, and I was smitten! Time to renew my vows, baby! I also threw caution to the wind and got the Marbled Elegance DSP - I do love marbled papers so much, and it turns out, I like them in all the "wrong" colors (for me, lol) just fine! I did my tilty panels up in Melon Mambo and one of our pretty gold-washed marbled sheets, and dressed up this Bentley boot for the big day! So cute! I can't wait to see YOUR takes on our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Classic Wedding Stamp Set; Marbled Elegance DSP; Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Melon Mambo & Pool Party Inks; Gray Granite, Basic Black & Melon Mambo Blends Markers; Classic Wedding Dies; Gilded Gems; #HSS449. ![]() This is a great guy theme! The Male Room #191 is for trees! Looking over the shelves, I decided to pull my Forever Forest bundle for this one! I still love this set, and it's hard for me to believe I almost didn't get it, since I have SO many other trees, lol. Really, the dies are something special for this one, and I love that little mountain range included in this one! Anyway, I did a little white-on-white action to fit in the mountains, and did this big fir trio up front. Then I remembered the little moon and stars stamp in there, too, so I added that in the upper right corner, that led to me adding some Gold Textured dots for my embellies - perfect! The heat-embossed sentiment is just right over the trees - and I can't believe how much I go to the Simply Said set these days, lol! Forever Forest & Simply Said Stamps; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry & Versamark Inks; White EP; Forever Forest Dies; Gold Textured Dots; #TMR191. ![]() I immediately dubbed our sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #346 the "pipe organ" sketch in my mind, lol. So cool! I still feel like I haven't been playing with my Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking kit enough, lol, so I pulled it out again for today's card! Any chance to show off the pretty papers, lol. Anyway, I addressed the basic sketch, and then went to the wood die cuts again for my sentiment - I wanted it to pop just a little more, so I floated it on a strip of Early Espresso, and decided to use the negative piece for the little "give!" I think it came out super cute! The Earth Tone Shimmer Gems were a great match, too! I can't wait to see what YOU do with our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit; Early Espresso CS; Earth Tone Shimmer Gems; #SSC346. ![]() Super excited that I can squeeze in the latest challenge from Farm Quest #61 - they're looking for grain-eating farm or rural animals! Let's see if I can do a better job this time, lol... I've been trying to mix us the "western" style sets I use at FQ lately, and I happened across my Ride the Range bundle just today - I didn't even remember that I had this! The bigger shocker is that I think this might be the only horse I have - yikes! I'll have to keep an eye peeled for future horsey sets, lol. Anyway, horses like grain for a treat, right? So I think this works, lol. And I'm always needing thank you cards, this will add a nice variety to my stash, I think! I love the fence and windmill dies that go with it, too - I used the heck out of those when this set was more current, lol. Ride the Range Stamp Set (retired 2021); Take to the Sky DSP; Basic White, Basic Gray, Pecan Pie & Copper Clay CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Copper Clay, Misty Moonlight, Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Pebbled Path& SU900 Blends Markers; Open Range & Stitched Shapes Dies (both retired); Rustic Metallic Dots; #FQCB61. |
