Lovely stack of elements at this week's Just Add Ink #283! Let's try it with In{k}spire Me #219's sophisticated color challenge! As soon as I saw all of In{k}spire Me's grays, I knew I wanted to add Cherry Cobbler to that mix. But should I go Halloween with that? The DT's samples are so dramatic! While I dithered a bit, a new box of goodies arrived from SU! Don't you love the man in brown? Saved! Christmas it is! I really was on the fence about some of these items - I have every ornament and snowflake ever made, I sometimes feel. Then I decided, hey, why break a good streak? Yup, it's like that! Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set; Merry Moments DSP; Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, and Basic Gray CS (did you ever notice this is the only non-alliterative color SU! has? Just sayin'.); Cherry Cobbler & Smoky Slate Inks; Delicate Ornaments & Christmas Greetings Thinlets; Banner Triple Punch; Softly Falling Embossing Folder; Stampin' Chalk Marker.

Stamps, Ink, Paper #17's flower theme will go PERFECT with the color challenge over at Nacho Average Challenge #162! The flower set that spoke most tome in this year's catty is hand's down Birthday Blossoms. I just love the "sketchy" look of the lines, and that spray of tiny blossoms is my favorite part! I thought I was keeping this card fairly simple, and I sort of succeeded, but then the dimensionals just kept flowing, lol... Oh well, a stamper's gotta do what she gotta do! Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set; Marina Mist, Garden Green, Tangerine Tango & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Marina Mist, Garden Green & Tangerine Tango Inks; Curvy Corner Trio, Pansy & PL Corner Rounder Punches. OK, now THIS is a Christmas Challenge! I love this week's coffee challenge at Merry Monday #174 - I'm going mocha! Think I'll see if I can slip in Freshly Made Sketch #207, too - perfect layout! OK, it's just too tempting for me to trot out the Paper Pumpkin Thanks A Latte set for this one, lol... Stamping that cute cup on all our fun holiday DSPs has been on my mind for a while! I had to play creatively with the arrangement of the cups here to still achieve the basic layout, but I'm really happy with the bright contrasts here. Even the sentiment in that set is perfect for this challenge. Can you smell the peppermint mocha now?? Lots of Joy & Thanks A Latte (PP) Stamp Sets; Merry Moments DSP; Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Real Red & Whisper White CS; Old Olive & Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 1/2" Circles, PL Corner Rounder & Curvy Corner Trio Punches; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Season to Season Wreath Class! Oh wow - you are going to LOVE the Season to Season Wreath project! Hope I can do it justice with the wintry color challenge over at Sunday Stamps #111 - isn't that squirrel cute?? One of the first things I remembered when I sat down to try this one was my gorgeous suite of supplies from Something Borrowed. I waited so long to finally get these, that they retired almost right after, lol. I hate it when I do that! Anyway, this suite is all about Sahara Sand, so I think it's a great match for the color challenge! So pretty! Blessed by God Stamp Set; Something Borrowed DSP (retired); Crumb Cake, Whisper White, & Smoky Slate CS; Crumb Cake Ink; Lace Trim in Sahara Sand; 1 1/2" Circle Punch; Something Borrowed Embellishments (retired.) I think this one is perfect match for our Wickedly Sweet kits, but also easy to incorporate with other autumnal occasions... I went straight for the sweet today, lol. I've been itching to use that little candy stamp, and you know how I am when I can't settle on a color - out they ALL come! This set seems a natural match with our entire 2013-15 In Colors collection - I predict you'll be seeing a lot of them and their accessories this month! It's going to look great with the fun colors at this week's TGIF #23! I knew right away I was going to have to browse the Room of Retirement to find the right shapes to work for this one. I also knew I wanted to try and turn this one sideways, just for fun. That worked out perfect when I finally dug out my The More the Merrier set. This old hostess set has several ADORABLE groupings to play with besides these super happy Jack-o-Lanterns, lol. I took some liberty with the sentiment placement, but hopefully you can see the sketch! The More the Merrier Stamp Set (retired); Rich Razzleberry DSP (from retired stack); Whisper White, Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive Inks; Itty Bitty Banner Framelits; Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Grosgrain; Brights Candy Dots in Old Olive. I think I'll try pairing it SU-per Challenge #106's colors! Now, I love me some SU-per gals, but what gives with the weird color choice? And more importantly, HOW did they know that Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red got so GREAT together?! Lol, I won't lie, Rose Red is my least used color of all time, so this was a great chance to bring that sweetie out for some air! Thanks goodness I'm such a stampin' pack rat, too, I found some buttons in Rose Red from our "old" subtles collection - did you know it used to be in a different color family?? In thye end, I'm very happy with how this came out - so bright and cheery! All Boxed Up Stamp Set; Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray & Whisper White CS; Rose Red Ink; Pumpkin Pie Marker (on envelope); Rose Red Buttons (from retired Subtles collection); Corner Rounder, 1 1/2" Circle & 1 3/4" Circle Punches; Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder; Basic Gray Baker's Twine. It sure seems like a natural fit with Just Add Ink #282's inspiration pic! So, FMS came right out and said that this was supposed to be quick, clean and simple - you know that was a challenge for me! I tried to rein myself in a bit, really, but hey, I LIKE layers! And pearls, and fancy punches, and dimension... Sigh. The irony is that I totally adore the impact and contrast of dramatic one-layer cards - I just can so rarely manage to create them, lol! Hint: to add dimension to my Greeting Thinlet, I stacked up five layers of CS - so easy with the new Fine Tip Glue Pen! Snuggles & Smooches Stamp Set; Whisper White, Smoky Slate & Blushing Bride CS; Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride & Smoky Slate Inks; Greetings Thinlets; Pink Pirouette Blendies (discontinued); Corner Rounder & Curvy Corner Trio Punches; Basic Jewel Pearls. I think I'll combine it with In{k}spire Me #218's Fall/Halloween challenge! So I've had a cute little stamp set haunting me ever since convention, the Promoting Paper Pumpkin set. It's a demo-only stamp set, I believe, and it came in a little business bundle with postcards, pens and flyers. That's all cute and all, and I do LOVE the pens, lol, BUT, it was all about the PUMPKIN for me! I have long loved that curlicue pumpkin shown on our kits - now I have a stamp of it! There's also several sentiments, and a "fill-in" pumpkin stamp, but today I wanted to aqua-paint! So glad I finally got to break this cutie out! Promoting Paper Pumpkin & Cheer All Year Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Basic Black & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive Inks; Spiderweb Doily; Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder; Corner Rounder Punch; Banner Triple Punch; (Black Gems leftover from Witching Decor Kit!) I decided to browse my DSP stock to get started - and what do you know, I haven't even touched my Cherry On Top paper in FOREVER! So I went bright and cheery, lol. Then I needed sparkles. And buttons. And texture. And...I stopped myself in time, I think, lol. Can't wait to see what you have to share at Fab Friday!
