Boy-howdy, I needed to color today! Lucky for me, this week's Paper Craft Crew #62 gave me lots of choice for choosing images to feature! I decided it had been too long since my birdies came out - and they're too cute to keep locked up! I love the simplicity of this "Miss You" image - everyone should send more mail, don't you think? I hope you can join us at the Crew today - show us what you got! For The Birds & Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets; Naturals Ivory, Pacific Point, Pool Party & Crumb Cake CS; Black Staz-On, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate & Real Red Inks; Ovals Collection Framelits; Occasions Piercing Pack; Brights Buttons; Neutrals Candy Dots.

Goodness, it must be Pumpkin Day again already! Wahoo for My Pumpkin Challenge #1013! I knew when I first saw the Wahoo sentiment, I was going to HAVE to match it up with Seriously at some point - how not?? I envision this as a lighthearted and fun love note for my DH - sometimes we just gotta whoop it up! So, what do YOU have for us at Pumpkin Challenge this week? Can't wait to see your creations! September 2013 Paper Pumpkin - Wahoo; plus, April's Seriously & June's Hello To You stamps; Pool Party, Whisper White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Midnight Muse & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Circles Collection & Hearts A Flutter Framelits; Chevron Embossing Folder; Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit (retired?); Basic Jewel Rhinestones. What a simple and dramatic sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #106 this week! So many possibilities for all our circular images! I so love the iconic look of the images in our Jewish Celebrations set, I knew I wanted to use one of those, and I felt like the patterns married very well with a few of our Venetian Romance DSP designs as well - so "fresh!" I didn't want to obscure the lovely image as much, so I stamped the sentiment on vellum, and used sticky strip to wrap the ends around the image layers, leaving a little "puffy" in the middle, so the sentiment doesn't get lost against the intricate background. Neat effect! Jewish Celebrations stamp set; Very Vanilla, Island Indigo & Pistachio Pudding CS; Venetian Romance DSP; Generic Vellum; Island Indigo Ink; 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Circles Collection Framelits. And here's an awesome item to help us get ready for the holidays! Introducing Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags & Stamps! This is a truly awesome set of items, with your choice of four different options! The first item is a cool new "tag" book - have some really cute tag stamps, but don't have the punches? Well, look no further - the tag book is your solution - 70+ tags in 5 designs, 2 pages of each design, all created from our existing tag & punch shapes, and that coordinate with this year's Season of Style suite. To go with, there's a coordinating photopolymer stamp set of 19 brand new stamps just for the season! You can get just the tag book, for $9.95, or just the stamps set, for $13.95, OR, both for a rockin' bundle of $19.95! OR, get this, there's a sweet little starter set available, too, perfect for giving as your own gift: The Tag Book, Stamps, AND a block and Soft Suede ink spot, so that everything needed to start cranking out the tags is ALL THERE, for $24.95! If you decide to go for either bundle, consider getting extra tag books - after DEC 31, they'll be gone for good! Be sure to click on the picture to check out the full flyer - it's a two pager with all the deets! Well, I don't know about you guys, but we're growing MY church the old-fashioned way - having lots of babies! We recently welcomed a new curate, and his wife is due early November - time for a party! In true Episcopal fashion, we like to do it up "right," so I of COURSE volunteered to do favors again - yay! Ever since Max & Ellie, I've had another baby shower favor idea burning a hole in my brain, and this was my chance! How cute is it to turn one of our classic "nugget jar" favors into a baby bottle?? After a week or so of trying to make a punch art nipple (I really tried to not say "nipple" on my blog, I swear), I ended up doing the top by doctoring up a baby bottle clip art I found, and then sizing it to fit our jars. For those wanting to try this themselves, here's a printable of those tops - 30 per sheet, ready to cut out! It worked out to 143 baby bottles - it was like a baby ward around here! Perfectly Preserved (retired) stamp set; Cannery Set framelits; Whisper White & Pretty in Pink (retired) CS; every scrap of retired DSP in any pink I have; Basic Black & Strawberry Slush inks; Oval, 7/8" Circle & 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punches; Pink Perle Cotton. OK, I find this week's Clean & Simple #260 SO striking! Love this sketch, and of course, I think this is the epitome of the C&S mantra, and really lets the sentiment shine. There was no way I couldn't trot out Tape It for this card, but I decided to do a twist on color - make the card and stamping more color based, all so I can use pearls for my embellishments, lol. Not that I don't still adore my Candy Dots! Enjoy! Happy Day & Tape It stamp sets; Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana & Soft Sky CS; Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate & Soft Sky inks; Corner Rounder Punch; Jumbo & Basic Jewel Pearls. As soon as I saw this angle on this week's Retro Sketch #83, I totally knew I was trotting into the guest room (otherwise known as the Restful Home for Retired Stamps, lol) to retrieve last Sal-A-Bration's Patterned Occasions - this sketch just screamed "jeans!" to me! I think the sentiment is a teeny bit on the small size for the card, but I heat-embossed it to give it a bit more pop, at least. I am ridiculously pleased with this card! Patterned Occasions (SAB 2013-retired) stamp set; Marina Mist CS; Midnight Muse & Whisper White Craft inks; White Embossing Powder; Square Lattice Embossing Folder; Essentials & Festive Piercing Templates; White Uniball Gel Pen; Neutrals Candy Dots. For this week's Paper Craft Crew #61, I wanted to brighten things up - so out came the Quatrefancy! So fun to play with the little pieces and bits that make up this sketch - how many accessories can I cram onto a card while still keeping it fairly clean, lol?? Today is the day we find out! Hope you can join us this week - can't wait to see what you come up with! Oh, Hello & Yippee-Skippee stamp sets; Whisper White CS; Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, & Island Indigo inks; Quatrefancy Specialty DSP; Apothecary Accents & Ovals Collection framelits; Occasions Piercing Pack; Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain; Brights & Subtles Buttons; Boutique Details Embellishments. And here's a quick shout-out for the October "Best Of" set - Best of Christmas! Look at these cuties! I think most of us actually have the originals of most of these, lol... Anyway, same awesome deal - 4 stamps, one brand new and exclusive to this set, for $14.95. AND, another collectable sticker under your belt for that free set! Click on the picture for the full flyer! Oh my gosh, this month's Paper Pumpkin kit has the cutest sentiments in it - who doesn't need a little Wahoo! in their lives?? In honor of that, My Pumpkin Challenge #1013 had TWO options - owls and texture! It was hard not to think of owls when we saw that phrase, lol. Now, I don't have much "owl stuff," but I do have the punch, so here's my crack at an "owl" card - can't wait to bring out the textures next rounds! Hope you can join us - looking forward to YOUR creations! September 2013 Paper Pumpkin-Wahoo; plus, Gorgeous Grunge stamp set; Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Old Olive & Cajun Craze CS; Old Olive & Cajun Craze inks; Owl Builder punch. |
