Ah, a good but sad theme at this round of Shopping Our Stash #557 - "with sympathy." It's so much easier to have these already on hand when needed! I decided today I wanted to express my condolences without saying the actual word "sympathy," lol - does that sound weird? Did I have any good sentiments for that? It happens that I have several, and I quickly settled on 2020's Modern Heart stamp set to help me along. I went with a retired Moody Mauve for my color splash, and stamped the line art heart over that, then embossed it with my Distressed Tile EF. Next I popped up this sweet sentiment beneath, and finished with a few Speckled Dots, also in Mauve. Simple and heartfelt, that's the ticket. Modern Heart Stamp Set (retired 2020); Moody Mauve DSP (retired-on envelope); Basic White & Moody Mauve (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black and Moody Mauve (retired) Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Distressed Tile EF; Moody Mauve Speckled Dots; #SOS557.

Oh, I LOVE this combo - Cupcake Inspiration #627 would like us to use pale pink and brown together! I thought for sure that I'd be using our sweetest pink, Bubble Bath in this one, but when I checked my scraps folders, I liked the ones I had in my retired Blushing Bride stash better, lol! The irony is, I didn't much care for this color when it was current, and now I miss it terribly, sigh. Anyway, how cute do fancy coffee cups look in pink, with lovely Early Espresso for the beverages?? Too yummy! I did two different cups, and colored them in with a Stamp-n-Write marker - I forgot we didn't have a Blend for this color, argh! Anyway, some artful coffee splatters, and a quick double bow in pink bring it all together - I think I need a cuppa! Latte Love Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2024); Blushing Bride DSP (retired); Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Blushing Bride Stamp-n-Write Marker; Nested Essentials Dies; Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine; #CIC327. We're all a-tumble this round at Sunday Stamps #370 - so fun! How about a dancing row of trees from 2022's Perfectly Plaid stamp set? Once the idea popped in my head, I couldn't turn back, lol. These little plaid beauties seemed just the right size, and I got to pull out five different greens, too! Since I also still have the Pine Tree Punch that went with this set, it was actually super quick, too! This cute sentiment from Wishing You Joy was the perfect fit as well! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our tumbling sketch! Meet you at the challenge! Perfectly Plaid (retired 2022) & Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets; Mossy Meadow DSP (on envelope, retired); Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Pine Tree Punch (retired); Stylish Shapes Dies; Red Sequins; #SSC370. This will be fun: The Male Room #202 wants us to create our own background! I decided to flip through my decorative masks for this one - a nice stenciled background should do the trick! I dug deep into my stack and found this splashy one in the old Seasonal Decorative Masks pack! Fun! I figured some bright blues could go well, and also dug out this sweet little sailboat in 2022's Sweet Farewell Stamp Set. I brushed on my colors in Azure Afternoon with touches of Pretty Peacock, then stamped up this feature column with the boat and the sentiment I chose - and pieced on the little "of" while I was at it. This whole card was pretty quick, too! Sweet Farewell Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White & Azure Afternoon CS; Azure Afternoon, Pretty Peacock & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Azure Afternoon, Real Red & Color Lifter Blends Markers; Azure Afternoon Dots; Seasonal Decorative Masks (retired); Blender Brush; #TMR202. So cute! If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #208 is for back to school! I really do find this theme pretty challenging - I have NO schoolhouses or buses in my stamps, so I always end up cobbling together something a little weird, lol. Today, I have advice for the back-to-schooler: sharpen all your pencils, and keep your curiosity fresh! Good advice for life-long learning, anyway, lol. First I did this sweet stack of pencils from our Trusty Tools stamp set, then I stamped and pieced this oversized sentiment from 2015's Adventure Awaits - these fun sentiments have been SO versatile over the years! A few yellow Starburst Sequins finishes it off! Whew, that's a lot of pencils! Adventure Awaits (retired 2015) & Trusty Tools Stamp Sets; Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red & Crushed Curry Inks; Real Red Blend Markers; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Yellow Starburst Sequins; #Cookie208. Another fun combo from In{k}spire Me #571 - love these rich colors! This seemed like the PERFECT chance to break in another new set - the Branching Out bundle! I love the versatile pine bough stamps, but the real clincher is the gorgeous nested ticket-punch rectangles - I have featured the largest one of the six on my card today! I had to really dig around for some Soft Sea Foam for my background - finally found my old pack of Splendid Day DSP - this is another one I might need to restock from eBay, lol. Love this stuff! It's the perfect botanical background for my three pine medallions and my Wishing You Joy sentiment! I love that Branching Out has so many non-Christmas sentiments, but I needed one for today's card, lol. Branching Out Stamp Set & Dies and Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets; Splendid Day DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #IMC571. Oo, what fun colors this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #472! These took me a little bit to decipher, I don't mind saying, lol. Then I spotted my More Than Autumn bundle on the shelf - it's been an age since I inked that one up! So out it came! I originally thought I'd do something about eggnog to go with the Darling Duckling, but it was too easy to stamp that pumpkin on the cup sleeve, so we morphed into Pumpkin Spice, lol. I did up a simple background in Duckling, and randomly stamped some cups all over it before matting it onto some Pretty Peacock. I stamped and colored my cup with Blends, and found a whipped cream already cut in the die sleeve (woot! woot!) Then I stacked my sentiment onto a banner from Nested Essentials. So cute! More Than Autumn Stamp Set & Dies; Darling Duckling DSP; Basic White & Pretty Peacock CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Timid Tiger Inks; Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger & Pretty Peacock Blends Markers; Nested Essentials Dies; Pretty Peacock Tinsel Gems; #HSS472. Inspire Create Challenge #201 wants to see shades of blues and greens! My favorite blue-green combos are still found in the retired Waves of the Ocean DSP - I so love marbled papers! To go with this, I pulled my Sunrise Sailing bundle to keep up the nautical theme! I stamped and colored my sailboat in coordinating colors to the DSP, then used the hybrid embossing folder and dies to cut it out - it's hard to see here, but it really has some extra dimension in person! I added my favorite sentiment from this set and finished with some Coastal Cabana heavy baker's twine and a few blue Sunny Day dots. Makes me want to dive right in! Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set & Hybrid EF/Dies; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green & Pacific Point (retired) Inks; Lemon Lime Twist Blend Marker; Coastal Cabana Heavy Baker's Twine; Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #ICC201. We are all about Autumn this round at Make My Monday #261 - let the harvest commence! For this one, I decided to ink up my new Amber Autumn suite! Beautiful harvest stamps and dies, and the Autumn Toile DSP is super gorgeous! I love that it all goes with our Very Vanilla - Fall is such a great time of year for it, lol. I set up a pretty DSP background, with a different patterned column to dress it up, then I set about coloring the pumpkins image from the set! I had to pull my retired Wild Wheat Blends to feel like I could do the Indian corn justice, lol. On went the sentiment next, with a few Mossy Meadow leaves tucked underneath, and a few Streaked Dots for fun. I'm loving how it looks! I can't wait to see YOUR Autumnal cards for this one - meet you at the challenge! Amber Autumn Stamp Set & Dies; Autumn Toile DSP; Very Vanilla, Early Espresso & Mossy Meadow CS; Early Espresso Ink; Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow & Wild Wheat (retired) Blends Markers; Nested Essentials Dies; Pecan Pie Center Striped Ribbon; Streaked Dots; #MMM261. Oo, I love these colors at AAA Cards #299 this round! I love purples with everything, lol. These colors also made me think of Fall, so I went looking for something leafy to play with. When I spotted 2018's Falling For Leaves, I knew I wanted to color in this fancy maple leaf - so fun! Looking over the colors, I went with Cloud Cover, dark and light Blackberry Bliss and Pecan Pie, and I think they look pretty great together! I finished with a few Cloud Cover Flat Pearls, too, I can never resist just a touch of embellishment, lol. Falling For Leaves Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Dark & Light Blackberry Bliss, Cloud Cover & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Cloud Cover Flat Pearls; #AAA299.
