![]() Yes! Festive Friday #168 has a great choice for us - World Cardmaking Day! Now, you may have noticed, I seem to have Christmas on the brain these days - I so get that way once the Holiday Catty comes out, lol! So I couldn't resist going Christmas with this one, too, and I found just the elements to use in our A Little Bit Festive Specialty DSP pack! I chose this lovely ornaments card front, because I find red, darker green and vanilla very vintage. I added a "For You" sentiment with our Greetings of the Season bundle - the tag let me sneak on a bit of Jute Twine (that I might have stolen off a jar of apple butter from a friend, lol.) I finished with a few Very Vanilla Enamel Dots - I never get to use them! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; A Little Bit Festive Specialty DSP; Very Vanilla & Garden Green CS; Garden Green Ink; Greetings of the Season Dies; Jute Twine; Very Vanilla Enamel Essentials Dots; #FF0168. ![]() Pumpkin Club September 28 at 2 PM! ![]() Ooo, AAA Birthday #65 would like us to focus on the background this month! Yeah! Today seems like a good day to stencil, don't you think? I went and pulled one of my favorite sets of masks - Basic Pattern - and got to work on a simple and colorful background. I love the organic look of these shapes! I set everything up, and then just randomly brushed on Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade & Lemon Lime Twist with Blending Brushes. I even did the envelope flap! I layered it over Black, so I could stamp my sentiment in the same, and finished with a few Matte Black Dots. Simple and quick! Simply Said Stamp Set; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Blending Brushes; Basic Pattern Decorative Masks (retired); Matte Black Dots; #AAAB65. ![]() So excited by this one - The Male Room #190 is having a fun folds challenge! My go-to fun fold most of the time is an easel card - I love how they can stand up for display all on their own! For today's easel, I pulled in the Adventurous Sky suite - I feel like I haven't played with it lately! I pulled in two of the printed tags from one of the media sheets - I love being able to mix up the papers with these little gems! I floated a large plane over the tags, and used the tiny plane as my easel stop inside - so fun! I also did these guys in Copper Clay for the first time - I like it almost as much as the Night of Navy! I finished with a few Copper Clay Glossy Dots for a bit of shine! Adventurous Sky Stamp Set; Take to the Sky DSP; Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Copper Clay & Smoky Slate Inks; Adventurous Sky & Stylish Shapes Dies; Copper Clay Glossy Dots; #TMR190. ![]() What's not to love about our beautiful Fall inspiration board at this round of Hand Stamped Sentiments #447?? I couldn't help but gravitate to the upper left corner and that beautiful cuppa with the pretty leaves! I totally knew I wanted to combine some Fall sets with Latte Love, and that's just what I did! I started by setting up the background from the Rings of Love DSP - a couple really sweet Fall sheets in there! Then I picked a latte cup from my A Little Latte pack - this yellow cup was just right! I tucked in some autumnal sprigs cut with the Splendid Stems Dies, and finished with a few Gold Iridescent Gems - lovely! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with from our beautiful inspo board - meet you at the challenge! Latte Love Stamp Set; A Little Latte & Rings of Love (retired) DSP; Basic White, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze CS; Poppy Parade Ink; Latte Love & Splendid Stems (retired) Dies; Iridescent Gems in Gold; #HSS447. ![]() Hm, I feel like I'm being watched by this week's sketch from In{k}spire Me #542, lol! Not sure I got the eyeball effect, but I definitely pulled in that big oval! I decided to make it a Christmas card, and I've been wanting to play with these skates in Sophisticated Sled for a while! They look splendid in Moody Mauve! I started by choosing a nice dark woodgrain from my Country Woods DSP, and then adding a lovely Moody Mauve Oval. I stamped and stamped off the little snowflakes in the background, though they are mostly covered by the sled, lol. I colored up my sled slats in Crumb Cake, and added a Moody Mauve swag with my pretty skates! I still have plenty of Speckled Dots, too, so I finished with those. I really like how this came out! Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake & Moody Mauve CS; Early Espresso & Moody Mauve Inks; Crumb Cake & Moody Mauve Blends; Sophisticated Sled Dies; Moody Mauve Speckled Dots; #IMC542. ![]() I'm so excited for MY turn to create the sketch for us at Sunday Stamps #344 - tag, you're it! Today took a strange turn for me card-making wise - I ended up with a no-stamp card!! Seriously, I almost never do this, BUT, I totally couldn't resist finally breaking into all the cute holiday ephemera packs and DSP we have in the Holiday Catty! SO many possibilities, and they all coordinate into various themes and styles, too - very nice design! I think I might be hungry or something, because the ones that really caught my eye today were all the Christmas cookies and treats, lol. When I spotted the "better together" sentiment, I knew I could throw in the pretty coca mug, too! Score! A few of our adorable Adhesive-Backed Peppermints were the perfect finishing touch! I can't wait to see how YOU tag it up this round - meet you at the challenge! A Little Bit Festive DSP; Joyful Sayings & Joyful Images Ephemera Packs; Basic White, Real Red & Pecan Pie CS; Angled Tag Topper Punch (retired); Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon (retired); Adhesive-Backed Peppermints; #SSC344. ![]() Here's a fun layout from Sketch Saturday #759 - gotta try this! I finally decided this was yet another great way to shop off some DSP, and I still love my carefully hoarded Waves of the Ocean pack, lol. Wouldn't that make a great backdrop for a real surfer dude? How about a Surfing Santa??? Oh yeah, I totally went there, lol. I found a sheet that had some splashes of Granny Apple Green, and hey, that's half the Christmas colors right there, right? It was all so fun to color and fussy cut, and I slipped on some Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems to finish things off - cowabunga! Surfing Santa Stamp Set; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight & Coastal Cabana Inks; Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Nude Blendability (retired); Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gems; #SS759. ![]() Such a cool layered sketch we have for you this round at As You See It #332! I decided to break in another new Christmas set with it - yay! Today's card is the launch of Decorative Trees - and I know what you're going to say! ANOTHER tree set? Well, wait'll you see the dies for this beauty! I of course didn't show them off today, lol, but I can't wait to bring this baby to my Tag Buffet - all the fancy layers are going to shine! Anyway, today is all about stamp ink and paper, and I love the stamped version of the tree just as much, lol. The sentiments are also gorgeous, and have several mixed fonts, a big draw for me, lol. I kept it fairly simple, and pulled in last year's Joy of Christmas DSP - somehow I still have a bunch of this!! I can't wait to see what you do with our sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Decorative Trees Stamp Set; Joy of Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Blender Pen; Decorative Trees & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Linen Thread; Berry Burst Sequins; #AYSI332. ![]() Christmas Cards Part 2 September 14! I decided I wanted to do Get Well rather than Sympathy, so I concentrated on fining a sentiment for that first. I FINALLY remembered this good one in last year's Inspired Thoughts! However, the Inspiring Canopy dies that go with it might have been not very CAS, lol, so I looked around for what could go with it. I finally realized I have a bunch of these pretty bouquets cut from our To Market DSP, which is totally what I would send to someone for a Get Well! It came together fast after that - simple layers, simple sentiment, a single bouquet, and three little Garden Green Dots accents, as usual, lol. Love it! Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set (retired 2023); To Market DSP; Basic White & Garden Green CS; Garden Green Ink; Garden Green Transparent Dots; #AAA273. ![]() Christmas Cards Part 2 September 14! I finally settled on this lovely sentiment in the now-retired Perennial Postage set - it was one of my favorite from this set, and I'm STILL using it, lol. I also finally decided to pull out my Frames & Flowers DSP pack to dress it up - I LOVE the patterns and die cuts in this pack, and I am forever forgetting to use them, lol. For today's card, I did up a pretty background, and floated this large oval wreath over it. The sentiment and a matching spray went on top of this. Even though it's retired, I am really liking matching this pack up with Soft Succulent, too, so that's the layering and ink I used. A few Gold Iridescent Gems add some sparkle!
