Oo, I think I'm feeling a Christmas vibe with In{k}spire Me #543's combo this round! When I thought about these colors, I remembered this dark woodgrain sheet from our Country Woods DSP pack - and look how lovely against the Garden Green! With two colors down, I added this pretty Stitched Circle in Real Red, and then went hunting for something to fill the rest of the colors. Enter these two pretty birds from the Nest of Winter DSP pack, maybe not totally exact, lol, but I think the spirit is there! I decided to heat emboss this sweet sentiment, and added some embellishments to finish things off - I love this look for Christmas! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Country Woods & Nests of Winter DSP; Basic White, Garden Green & Real Red CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Stylish Shapes Dies; Birchwood 3D EF; Gold Textured Dots & Snowflake Elements (retired) Embellishments; #IMC543.

Oo, we're bringing on the spooky at this week's Sunday Stamps #345! I knew I wanted to use my Potions & Spells set for this one - I don't get the new Halloween set every year, so I have to make it count when I do! With all these crazy colors, I knew I needed to keep it simple! How about that book stack? I could fit lots of colors on there! So that's just what I did, and I water-painted it instead of markers for a more translucent look - gotta be able to read those book titles, lol. I also added my crow on top too - he's so handsome! I put my favorite sentiment right on top, and finished with a few Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - find your shades! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these spooky colors - meet you at the challenge! Potions & Spells Stamp Set; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie, Azure Afternoon, Melon Mambo & Gorgeous Grape Inks; Water Painter; Basic Black Blend Marker; Potions & Spells Dies; Melon Mambo Glossy Dots; #SSC345. So excited to play another round at this month's NBUS #66! OK, today is the day I just let my freak flag fly, lol. I saw a Star Trek themed card once, feels like an age ago, and I was like, OOOO! Like a dunce, I didn't note the stamp company, and I've been on the hunt ever since, especially since I've loosened up a little bit on all things SU!, lol. Well, I finally found it! I was so excited, and it turns out, they make a couple sets, lol, AND some pretty awesome Star Wars ones, too. My first batch just arrived yesterday, so I of course had to ink something up - Lieutenant Worf to the rescue! Bwahahahaha! He even has his own catch phrase that we can customize, as you can see, lol. I am so smitten with these stamps - yup, I'm geeking out! And laughing so hard! So fun! Kindred Stamps The Next Space Explorers & Simply Said (inside) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Basic Black & Wild Wheat CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Wild Wheat, SU100 & SU300 Blends Markers; Neutrals Sequins in Gold; #NBUS66. We have some fun bold colors for you this round at As You See It #333! I thought this one would be fun to do up in some of fancy Decorative Trees dies - so many to choose from besides the stamped one! I picked these three for our colors, and embossed a beautiful Painted Trees background with my new embossing folder! A quick sentiment, some Iridescent Discs, and I am set! Now if only it snowed here, lol... I can't wait to see YOUR fun projects with our bright colors this round - see you at the challenge! Decorative Trees Stamp Set; Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green & Azure Afternoon CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Painted Trees EF; Decorative Trees Dies; Iridescent Discs in Granny Apple Green; #AYSI333. Cupcake Inspirations #602 wants to know our favorite food! So you know I HAD to pull out my More Than Autumn set again right? If you don't love Pumpkin Pie, we can't be friends! The only thing wrong with this set is how small the dollop of whipped cream is - in fact, I think I'll have to do another card correcting that - the full dollop is more what we go for in our house, lol - yes, I'll have some pie with that whipped cream, lol. Anyway, this was another fun and quick card with this yummiest of stamp sets - I am SO smitten! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Pumpkin Pie & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; More Than Autumn Dies; Shiny Sequins; #CIC602. Oo, there's a cool blobby sketch at AAA Cards #274 this week - so many ways to go! After a little dithering, I went and rescued my Textures & Frames stamp set from the sale box, lol. I can do blobs! Lol... Anyway, I then pulled a somewhat random set of colors from my Brights collection, and then went looking for a sentiment that would fit in the space. As soon as I saw this Psalm 27 quote from Courage & Faith, I knew this was it! I was going to go embellishment-free this time, but then I got a tiny black smudge on there somehow, still not quite sure how it happened. So, then I HAD to cover it up with a Matte Black Dot, of course! This free-form style was really fun! Courage & Faith and Textures & Frames (retired 2021) Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie, Berry Burst, Azure Afternoon & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Matte Black Dots; #AAA274. We have a parquet sketch for you this round at Retro Rubber #240! I have never done a layout like this before - it took me a minute (or two!) to decide how to begin, lol. I did know I wanted to use the bold fun papers in our Take a Bow DSP, but I needed a good image to center it, too - and do I have one that has the sentiment included?? Yes, of course! I pulled out Peaceful Pines from 2015, and started chopping strips of DSP, lol. I figured once I set the first one on top, I could just work my way down, and I wanted to leave some of the background cardstock showing, too. It was really fun how this came together! A quick trim around the edges when I was done and I was all set! I put my tree on top, then went back and slipped in that contrasting circle. What a fun time! I can't wait to see YOUR fancy cards this rounds - don't forget to make it Retro! Peaceful Pines Stamp Set (retired 2015); Take a Bow DSP; Basic White & Real Red CS; Granny Apple Green Ink; Perfect Pines (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; Granny Apple Green Glitter Sequins; #RRCB240. We want you to create your own background this round at Make My Monday #235! I love making my own leafy backgrounds, in JUST the colors I want, lol. And this is so the right time of year to do it! I decided to break in our latest Fall stamp set, this time from our recently released scrapbooking brochure - this is Autumn to Remember! I'm not a scrapbooker, but I figured I could still use these supplies to make cards - and I have one of the kits standing by, too! Anyway, I loved the big bold multi-font sentiments in this one, AND the pretty leaf images too! I picked some Fall colors and stamped and stamped-off my way along! I definitely love how it came out, and I finished with a few Espresso sequins to some sparkle! I can't wait to see YOUR backgrounds this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Autumn to Remember Stamp Set; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie & Early Espresso Inks; Neutrals Sequins in Early Espresso; #MMM235. Oh gosh - Time Out Challenges #272 wants us to get SNARKY! Let's see... Well, when you need snarky, that's a job for Sassy Suzie! I always laugh when I read her little trove of sentiments, but, I admit, I don't make many snarky cards, lol, so she doesn't get out much! Today she had something to say about your next birthday - tee hee! Just to make sure we know I don't take her seriously, I did her all up on this DOTTY paper, a perfect fit, lol. And I did put the Happy Birthday on the inside! Bring it, Suzie! Sassy Suzie Stamp Set (retired 2009); Frightful Sight DSP (retired); Basic White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Misty Moonlight & SU400 Blends Markers; Nude Blendability Marker (retired); Iridescent Pearls; #TOC272. Shopping Our Stash #530 is looking for confession time, lol - what do we have so much of that we don't need even ONE more?? Yikes! Well, I confess that I have a problem with embellishments. I love them. I love them ALL. And here's a little partial example of how many I have - isn't this a fun tree? Could I have done this in all green embellies, though? Yeah, well, probably. This little tree represents only a segment of my stash - only self-adhesive ones, only one or two of each kind, and no super-shaped ones, like dragonflies or tombstones, lol. And this is just from the bin on my DESK, I didn't even GO in the drawers, lol. I also didn't even TOUCH the loose ones, like sequins, gems, wood shapes, florals, branches... Yeah, the list goes on. Did I mention buttons? Almost forgot those, and I've been GIVING those suckers away lately, lol. Whew, glad I got THAT off my chest! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Black & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Whimsical Woodland EF (retired); Stitched Triangles Dies (retired); Self-Adhesive Embellies Out The Wazoo; #SOS530.
