Here's a fun sketch from Stamp Ink Paper #14! I think I'll also add a touch of glimmer with Just Add Ink #280! I can't lie, I needed a little pick-me-up today. This happy sentiment from Hello Life is a tenet I all-too-often forget! Why oh why is it sometimes SO hard to focus on what I KNOW is good fro me, lol? This simple but freshly pretty card was a spirit-refresh button for me... Hello Life Stamp Set; Pretty Petals DSP; Gold Glimmer, Mint Macaron & Very Vanilla CS; Early Espresso & Calypso Coral Inks; Elegant Dots Embossing Folder; Calypso Coral Organdy (retired); Neutrals Candy Dots in Very Vanilla. This week's fun card idea from Merry Monday #171 wants us to "feature" our sentiment - nice! I think I'll have room to do that with this bold sketch from Nacho Average Challenge #159! When I started thinking about a "feature" Christmas sentiment, I had to run in to the Room of Retirement and pull out this gorgeous number, O Holy Night. It says a little bit of just about everything, lol... I decided, too, to turn my Nacho sideways, so everything would fit nice and tidy - mission accomplished! PS. I put a white panel with DSP scrap accents inside, since the card base is so dark - I try to forget that sometimes! O Holy Night Stamp Set (retired); Merry Moments DSP; Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow & Whisper White CS; Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Real Red & Old Olive Inks; Brick Wall Embossing Folder; Banner Triple Punch; Brights Candy Dots in Real Red. I'm matching it up with the clean lines of this sketch at Can You Case It #86! So, I'm slowly starting to pull my thoughts together for my big craft show in November, The Mountainview Presbyterian Holiday Gift show, November 20 & 21. Yes, I know I've got some time, but I'm always struck by the number of folks looking for Thanksgiving cards, so I want to make sure I don't neglect them this time, lol... Good thing I have Thankful Forest Friends to help me out! Two days in a row of a purple and green match-up - I'm in heaven! Thankful Forest Friends Stamp Set; Into The Woods DSP; Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive CS; Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Soft Suede Inks; Deco Labels Framelits; 2 1/2" Circle & Dotted Scallop Trim (retired) Punches; Neutrals Candy Dots in Soft Suede; Brights Buttons in Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive; Into The Woods Ribbon; Linen Thread. Pretty layers in this week's Retro Sketch #181! I think this calls for my fave new stamp set again, lol... Seriously, I can't seem to let Lighthearted Leaves stay on the shelf! It's so fun to color, and so pretty to play with! I guess I don't have much to add to today's card, except I also loved the chance to play with my fave color combo of purple and green, lol... Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set; Into The Woods DSP; Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry & Soft Suede CS; Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry Inks; Woodland Textured Embossing Folder; Leaflets & Banners Framelits; Into The Woods Elements; Into The Woods Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry. Still feeling gilded over at My Pumpkin Challenge #0915 - A Touch of Gold! I have JUST enough time to pair it up with this week's TGIF #20 - yay! I decided to try to shoot for another one of the big pink flowers. This time, I filled the center with a nifty little trick I'm totally stealing from Sarah's card last week - Itty Bitty Blossoms punched around the little gold dots on the boxes from the kit - brilliant! I did them over a black circle to give them a little pop... I also mixed up my sentiments a bit, and snagged this Get Well from LAST month's kit, since it fits inside our "bubble" so well! Chalk It Up to Love Paper Pumpkin; plus, Thanks A Latte Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set; Pink Pirouette & Basic Black CS; Encore Gold Ink; Spring Flowers Embossing Folder; Banner Triple, 1 1/4" Circle & Itty Bitty Blossom Punches. Today's card is brought to you by In{k}spire Me #215! Look at all those panels! So, first hurdle: it's a square card! Lol, seriously, I don't do many of those, but I gave this one the old college try! I really wanted to play with my Peaceful Pines suite again - just love it! I'm afraid I kinda obscured all my nice panels though - oops! Something really awesome that I realized while making this card today was how well-designed the framelit set is that goes with it! Three sizes of trees - check. Embellishment option for each size - double check! I was so excited by that discovery! I can't quite make up my mind if its better to cut out the tree and THEN embellish, or embellish and then cut the tree. The hardest time I had was the one with all the little leaflets that poke out... Peaceful Pines Stamp Set; Into the Woods DSP; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Perfect Pines Framelits; Banner Triple Punch; Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Here we are today with SU-per Challenge #103! I took me a minute to really get the arrangement of layers on this sketch - for some reason I couldn't "see" it for a bit, I'm not really sure why. Then the light dawned, and I realized this sketch was a faboo chance to really show off some yummy DSP! I also realized that the dimensions of the layers was a great opportunity for a nice big scripture saying, too, and then it all came together in about 10 minutes... I don't have to count my "ponder" time, do I? Our Daily Bread Scripture Collection 2; English Garden DSP; Whisper White, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow & Night of Navy CS; Soft Suede & Mossy Meadow Inks; Banner Triple & PL Corner Rounder Punches; Regals Candy Dots in Night of Navy. Today I'm combining Just Add Ink #279 with Create With Connie & Mary #372! So the biggest challenge here was definitely the colors - whew! I always know it's going to be a job when I have to review my entire DSP stash to see if I have ANYTHING I can use, lol. In this case, turns out the biggest find was this gorgeous snowflake sheet from our Season of Cheer DSP. I totally didn't expect to go in a Christmas direction! Next up was an image that would play well in our yellows. It didn't take me long to think of our retired Rejoicing With You... Everyone knows that any shape on a sketch is really just a suggestion, right?? Rejoicing With You (retired) Stamp Set; Season of Cheer DSP; Whisper White & So Saffron CS; Delightful Dijon & Night of Navy Inks; Banner Triple Punch; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Today I'm combining Freshly Made Sketch #203 with Nacho Average Challenge #158's colors! I felt like some coloring and fussy cutting today, can you tell? Never mind that we don't often see flowers in these colors in real life, lol, this is aqua-painter I was given today! I decided to pop up the die-cut sentiment with a contrasting off-set background layer, too, definitely added that little bit of something I needed. Some pops of sparkle, and we're all set! Blended Bloom Stamp Set; Whisper White, Smoky Slate & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso, Smoky Slate & Island Indigo Inks; Decorative Dots Embossing Folder; Greetings Thinlets; PL Corner Rounder Punch; Metallics Sequins in Silver. Love, love, LOVE Sunday Stamps #109 summery color challenge! I think it will be easy to turn these colors into a birthday theme with Stamp Ink Paper #13, too! So, you know those SIP inspiration balloons immediately yelled "Birthday Bundle" from Paper Pumpkin, right? Lol, of COURSE you did! Once that was established, I also decided to sort of do a sketch play on Sunday's color challenge pic - so easy when you have balloons to play with! Good times... Paper Pumpkin Birthday Bundle Stamp Set; Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry & Very Vanilla CS; Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry & Daffodil Delight Inks; Happy Patterns Decorative Masks; Circles Collection Framelits; 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Witching Decor Class September 12! SO excited about this class! We will be assembling our very very own witch hats, for display or inspiration, lol!
