Holy smokes, check out this glorious beachy cookie at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #219!  Game on!
I went hunting through the retired shelves for a set I haven't used in a while - I feel like I've been making a lot of beach cards lately, lol.  I quickly settled on Seaside Bay - I've always loved the quiet "Eastern Shore" kind of feel to this one!  I dug out a pack of By the Bay DSP, too, and pulled this sheet to set the tone for my colors!  I did some torn edge strips of Crumb Cake to resemble dunes, and tucked in some sea grasses in Mint Macaron - I so miss this color!  Next up this pretty bivalve with its pearl, and sand piper looking on carefully - gotta be something to eat in there somewhere, right?  I floated the matching sentiment over my little scene, and finished my pearl with some Wink of Stella - very shimmery in person!
Seaside Bay Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2024); By The Bay DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake & Mint Macaron (retired) CS; Crumb Cake, Secret Sea & Early Espresso Inks; Cloud Cover Blend Marker; Blending Pen, Clear Wink of Stella; #Cookie219.

Oo!  Exciting!  Christmas Craft All Year 'Round for August is P or Q!  I gotta try for Q!!
Lucky for me, our upcoming A Stitched Season DSP is PERFECT for this!  The stamp set and dies are actually for making very fancy stockings, and I do love them so much - but this sheet of pieced cardinals is my all-time favorite designer paper - it was so hard to cut into this, lol.  I did a set of 4 squares on Cherry Cobbler CS, and popped up this "warm" sentiment across the center, with a button and holly leaves to spice it up a tiny bit.  Really, this came together fast, but, as it is so often, it's all about the paper today, lol.

I have SO many fun new things to play with, so glad I have NBUS #89 to coax me along, lol!
One of the upcoming Christmas suites is the Timeless Christmas suite - which features the super fun Scalloped Christmas Cheer bundle.  The eponymous DSP, though, is so awesome for demos - FOUR of each sheet, so lots of scope for classes, lol.  One of the sheets is actually a collection of festive tags and layers, that works so well with the new scalloped dies - today I wanted to break into that sheet.  I snagged three of the patterns for my patchwork card today, and my feature layer of that beautiful plaid tag is right on top!  For today, I layered it over white so it could really pop against my busy background - so fun!  I also enjoyed trying my hand at fussy cutting this large sentiment - I think it came out great!
Scalloped Christmas Cheer Stamp Set; Timeless Christmas DSP; Basic White, Peaceful Pine & Poppy Parade CS; Poppy Parade Heavy Baker's Twine; Gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins; #NBUS89.

Autumn Get Well

I really like the theme at this round of CAS on Friday #340 - they'd like to see a get well card!
Flipping through my current stamps, I came across our big single stamp Get Well Soon - somehow I haven't used it yet, and I originally got it as something fun to pair with our Ouch bandaid set, lol.  Best laid stampin' plans and all that, lol.  Anyway, I wanted to get this one inky today, but what to pair it with and still keep it CAS?  That's a lot of real estate, lol.  Then my eye fell on the single pack of Autumn Opulence DSP that I snagged during our recent pre-order - it will come out as part of the September Online Exclusives, and I figured I could fit it into Fall cards class somehow - the DSP is kind of orphaned in there, not part of any particular suite or stamp set pairing.  Oddly, when I checked it out when it arrived, I found two sheets of diecuts as part of the pack, which are printed on white, though the coordinating neutral is listed as Very Vanilla - so weird!  I figured that gave me license to pull this big wreath onto a white card base with my giant sentiment,  so here we are!  I finished with a few Pressed Flower Motifs, and called it good!
Get Well Soon Stamp Set; Autumn Opulence DSP; Basic White & Basic Beige CS; Early Espresso Ink; Pressed Flower Motifs Embellishments; #CASOF340.

Sunflower Message

Ooo!  This is very cool!  Inspire Create Challenge #222 would like us to create a "hidden message" card!  I can do it!
I remembered a long time ago making a "flower pot" card, and I decided today to try for a mini version using our upcoming Radiant Sunflowers suite!  I first chose a fairly neutral background sheet from the Sunflower Fields DSP - I think this little mini check goes well with the Gingham Ribbon!  Then I stamped and colored this little bouquet of sunflowers, diecut it, and got down to working out the pot in Cajun Craze.  I think it worked out pretty well, and I tucked in the little tag shape also in the dies for my sentiment!  (See below for the reveal!)  I threw on a few extra sunflowers also cut with the dies, I really wanted to play with ALL the toys, lol.  Yay!
Radiant Sunflowers Stamp Set & Dies; Sunflower Fields DSP; Basic White, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Old Olive Inks; Daffodil Delight, SU200 & Light Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Mossy Meadow Gingham Ribbon; Green Radiant Gems; #ICC222.

Here's a fun little landscape sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments #494!
Such a fun landscape ketch to play with something new, lol - here's a sneaky peek at the beautiful and playful Painted Pumpkins suite coming in our Sep-Dec Catty!  I was instantly smitten with the DSP the stamps, AND there a set of layering stencils to play with, too!  I so love the colors in the DSP, I stuck with some coloring myself for now, but I did try to sneak in the embellies for you, too!  My fave sheet of the DSP has this Secret Sea background for those bright gourds, and the reverse side is this sweet plaid, so yum!  I threw on a bit of the Calypso Coral Bordered Ribbon, and a few Cajun Craze Painted Patch Dots.  I chose this threesome of pumpkins to stamp and color -they're on one stamp, so that the single die works a snap!  Yay!
Painted Pumpkins Stamp Set & Dies; Painted Patch DSP; Basic White, Secret Sea & Soft Sea Foam CS; Secret Sea Ink; Cajun Craze, Pool Party & Golden Glow Blends Markers; Calypso Coral Bordered Ribbon; Cajun Craze Painted Patch Dots; #HSS494.

Merlot in Paris

Aw, who wouldn't want to be sipping an adult beverage in PARIS??  Such a cute inspo pic at First Cup Challenge #17!
I totally had to pull my Parisian Beauty bundle from 2020 for this one, lol. And somehow, when I do this gorgeous Eiffel Tower, I always want to pair it with Very Vanilla, so that was my color scheme settled, especially when I naturally pulled in Merry Merlot, lol.  So funny story, I had to stop right then in my blog post and go back and pull off my glasses and redo them - I had put my merlot in champagne flutes, lol.  Duh!  So I quick went and redid them with these goblets - now we're all proper!  I had found a scrap of newsprint paper in my Vanilla scrap folder, so I went and pulled my Typeset Specialty DSP for the background, too.  I love how this turned out - think I'll put in with my wedding card offerings!
Parisian Beauty (retired 2020) & Sip Sip Hooray (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Typeset Specialty DSP (retired); Very Vanilla, Basic Black & Merry Merlot (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Merry Merlot (retired) Ink; Parisian and Sip & Celebrate Dies (both retired); Black Sparkle Gems; #FCC17.

You know what this is??  It's IRONY, that's what it is, lol.  Our speed challenge this round at As You See It #379 is "crafting!"  Yikes!
My tried and true method of conquering a speed challenge is to pull in some DSP, and I have JUST the things still around - the now-retired Hobby Haven DSP pack!  Yes! I got everything out and ready, papers on the trimmer, ink pads open, and the upcoming Tile Garden Dies standing by (a square version of the awesome Spotlight on Nature Dies!)- let's go!  Paper layers and envelope flap, check.  Sentient stamped and die cut, check.  Extra doodads pulled from my envelope of already punched diecut sheets, check.  A quick assembly, on go a few Shimmering Dots, and stop the clock!  Made this cutie in 4 minutes and 29 seconds - whew!
I can't wait to see YOUR speedy takes on our crafting theme - meet you at the challenge!
Crafting Forever Stamp Set (retired 2020); Hobby Haven DSP (retired); Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Early Espresso Ink; Tile Garden Dies; Shimmering Dots in Coastal Cabana; #AYSI379.

Oh, such a fun theme at this round of Papercraft Challenges #132 - "good enough to eat!"
So the question I gotta ask myself, punk, is do I have a whole shelf of food stamps??  Why, yes, self, I totally do, lol!  I knew immediately I would crank out a pile of my favorite flavors of macarons from said shelf, along with a few meringue kisses, on a beautiful dessert stand, too!  Bring me the sugar, baby!  Geez, I crack myself up, obviously, lol.  I pulled out my Cake Day dies for the macarons and kisses, and the 2020 Birthday dies for the cake stand.  This "sweetest" sentiment from the Filled With Sweetness stamp set seemed perfect for all this sugar, too.  Now you know my weakness:  chocolate, lemon and pistachio macarons!
Filled With Sweetness Stamp Set; Valley in Bloom DSP; Basic White, Basic Beige, Gold Foil, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz (retired), Barely Blush & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Cake Day, Birthday (both retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; Barely Blush In Color Dots; #PCC132.

Oo!  Inkspirational Challenge #373 is VERY beachy - so pretty!
I went for a browse of my beachy sets, and of course pulled Friends Are Like Seashells from 2023 - I think this will ALWAYS be a favorite of mine!  I knew I wanted to do a bunch of shells, and I also still love my old Waves of the Ocean DSP from 2022, lol.  I have certainly been pulling it out from the bin for beach cards this year!  Then I had a thought, what would happen if I used the Waffle Flower Postage Collage die on DSP??  Once I had the thought, I had to go for it, lol.  I chose this lighter sheet so I could stamp the sentiment right onto it, and it is DREAMY!  I stamped everything in Early Espresso, even the shells which I did on Basic Beige.  I added some color to the shells with Blends Markers, laid everything out, and finished with my Antique Pearls.  I have to say, I am pretty smitten with this one!
Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set (retired 2023); Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake & Basic Beige CS; Early Espresso Ink; Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Blender Pen; Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die; Antique Pearls; #IC373.
