We have a charming medallion sketch for you this round at Sunday Stamps #368! This would have been a perfect one for the pines set I used the other day, lol, but, with so many stamp sets to keep inky, I'll have to come up with something else! I finally landed on my Nature's Prints set - I had thought I would do a Christmas card with this sketch, but it totally works for other occasions, too! I stamped a couple fronds in Night of Navy to layer behind my medallion, and then realized while I was my cutting machine that I had a few dies to make some extra accents in Navy to go with! I chose this sentiment for a sympathy note, and even found some scraps of the Sun Prints DSP this bundle was released with. It all came together beautifully! I can't wait to see YOUR ideas for our gorgeous sketch - meet you at the challenge! Nature's Prints Stamp Set & Dies; (retired 2024); Sun Prints DSP (retired); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Smoky Slate Pearls; #SSC368.

Such an elegant layered sketch this round from Hand Stamped Sentiments #470! I think I'll break in the Jolly Delivery suite today - raise your hand if you love dogs! It's nice that there are other critters, too, but really it's the dogs that caught my eye, lol. Except for tucking my sentiment BEHIND the top panel, I tried to stick pretty close to the sketch - so many layers! The way they were all shaded in the sketch, I decided that meant that every layer floated on a different color, too - ah, the power of suggestion, lol. I chose the gridded sheet for the background, and flipped it for the first column of envelopes. For my final layer, I added a few fun "stamps" and this proud and cozy golden retriever - who's a good boy??? This sentiment seemed just right for my "mail" theme today, lol. I finished with a few Dear Dots. Whew! Jolly Delivery Stamp Set; North Pole Delivery DSP; Basic White, Poppy Parade, Garden Green, Pool Party & Petal Pink CS; Poppy Parade Ink; Dear Dots; #HSS470. Whew - I can JUST slip in to the August NBUS #77 challenge! AND, I have a stack of stuff still from my Holiday Catty and Online Exclusive Pre-Order to show off! Today i am super excited to start playing with the set Stay Warm, from the catty. No sentiments, normally a no-go for me, but all these knitted goodies! I've been wanting a good sweater set (and hat, socks and gloves, too, lol) for a while now. What intrigued me about this one is that it's set up to be reversible, so you can do a solid fill-in on each item. Also not something I've played with a lot - works awesome on this set! For the sentiment, I bring you the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Emboss Dies and Folder - SO many Christmas sentiments! This is also my first use of the new 2-tone cardstock - I wanted to try a sanding block on this one! This sheet of Old Olive is in the same Autumn To Remember scrapbooking kit I got a an age ago - I'm going to have to try more of the sanding! Stay Warm Stamp Set; Autumn to Remember DSP (retired); Basic White, Real Red & Old Olive 2 Tone CS; Real Red & Old Olive Inks; Christmas Word Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies; Stylish Shapes Dies; Sanding Block; Loose Snowflakes; #NBUS77. So fun, AAA Cards #297 is having an anything CAS goes challenge, with an optional twist of ALL GREEN! I'm in! This seemed like the perfect chance to start getting my new Delicate Pines set inky, lol - pines are green, right? I kept it CAS by doing a partial layout off the bottom corner, and tried not go overboard with added to my "pineflake," lol. So fun to build this little arrangement! There are SO many more pieces I could work in, as well as pine cones and more natural-looking fronds, but still, I'm really liking it! I couldn't resist TINY touches of Cherry Cobbler to help with the Christmas vibe, with the berry trio in the center, and two singles picked out around the sentiment. So sweet... Delicate Pines Stamp Set; Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Old Olive & Shaded Spruce Inks; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #AAA297. Pumpkin Club August 30! So fun - If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #207 is so cute, and all about birthdays! I decided to break out some of my carefully hoarded Zoo Crew DSP for today's card! How not to love these cute party animals? I added a doctored tag from the Paper Tags bundle - I shortened the tag a bit to more closely fit the sentiment, and added some White highlights with a gel pen! (That might need more work for next time, lol.) I tried to place the tag strategically so I could maximize my critter exposure and I finished with some Shimmer Ribbon and some matching Party Dots. All ready for the big day! Paper Tags Stamp Set & Dies; Zoo Crew DSP (retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; White Gel Pen; Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon; Pool Party Party Dots; #Cookie207. Ahhh, love this theme of ours at this round of Retro Rubber #262 - BOOKS! I just could NOT resist pulling out my beloved single stamp Every Chapter, from 2022 - I so love to color this sweet stack! I decided to add some drama by fussy cutting them and floating them over the ever-gorgeous Country Woods DSP, too, so I kept my colors a little muted, but still fresh! Such a fun project! I'm super happy with how it came out - and I finished with some super-subtle Swirl Dots, too. Time to go curl up in the big chair! I can't wait to see YOUR favorite reads, too - and don't forget to make it RETRO! Every Chapter Stamp Set (retired 2022); Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Darling Duckling & Soft Sea Foam Blends Markers; Swirl Dots; #RRCB262. Our theme this round at Make My Monday #259 is hot air balloons! For today's card, I went back to my Above The Clouds stamp set from 2020 - this one is the one that had the Hot Air Balloon Punch to go with it instead of dies! I started with this cloudy background DSP that I found in my Pool Party scrap folder - I think it was a past Sale-a-Bration item, but it was loose, so I don't remember the name, lol. From there I stamped and colored three different balloons, punching them out as I went. I went ahead and added my sentiment directly to the Lemon Lime Twist one - so cute! I also did some coordinating banners for the other two balloons, and finished with some birds - a fun and colorful scene! I can't wait to see YOUR hot air balloons in action, too - meet you at the challenge! Above The Clouds Stamp Set (retired 2020); Pool Party Clouds DSP (retired); Basic White & Lost Lagoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst & Calypso Coral Inks; Hot Air Balloon Punch (retired); Iridescent Rhinestones; #MMM259. Such a super theme at this round of The Male Room #201 - "universe!" So, I pretty much knew instantly that I'd be pulling my Space Western set from Kindred Stamps for this one - hopefully Firefly and Serenity fans can recognize my characters Wash and Zoe on my card, lol. The actual line is "No power in the 'verse can stop me!" by River Tam, who is a total bada$$ in this episode, but we fans like this line a lot, lol, and it appears in a few more places, too. I thought it would be a good match for the Serenity's power couple, lol. Anyway, my space cowboys look awesome over this retired sheet of Stargazing DSP, with the Serenity flying in overhead as well. It took SO many Blends Markers to get the colors right But I had to represent my inner geek in this card! Kindred Stamps Space Western Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP (retired); Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blueberry Bushel Inks; Pool Party, Peach Pie, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Nude, Copper Clay/Seaside Spray/Wild Wheat/Soft Succulent (all retired), Crumb Cake, SU100, SU200, SU500 & SU600 Blends Markers; #TMR201. I am THRILLED to celebrate National Beach Day with Festive Friday #191! I did a quick browse of my beachy sets (I really have accumulated a few, lol) and pulled out my Beach Happy set from 2019 - it has a "relax" sentiment AND a great beach umbrella! I did a little scene over my Sand & Sea DSP from who know how long ago - I'm almost through all this! Still I love the soft beachy colors in it! I had to pull out some Sahara Sand, naturally, and my blues are all riffs on Seaside Spray - a very seaside theme today! At the last second, I added on some sand and shells, and a beach ball, from last year's Beach Day set, too - every little bit helps! Beach Happy (retired 2019) & Beach Day (retired 2025) Stamp Sets; Sand & Sea DSP (retired); Basic White & Sahara Sand (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Seaside Spray (retired) & Crumb Cake Inks; Seaside Spray Blend Marker (retired); Stylish Shapes Dies; Whale of a Time Sequins (retired); #FF0191. Our latest speed challenge at As You See It #355 is LEAVES! This was a tough one - I spotted one of my all-time favorite leaf sets while doing some straitening - Falling For Leaves from 2018. This one is so fun to color! But no time for that in a speed challenge - how about heat embossing OVER colors, if I get everything laid out and ready to go?? I'm game! I set out everything - 3 pieces of colored CS for the leaves, the background for the sentiment, the envelope for some decor. Opened the Versamark and the Early Espresso, then the bin of Gold EP and set the heat gun by it. Laid out the gold sequins and the pop dots. Leaf die waiting on the cutting machine. Fingers crossed, I started the clock! It all went off without a hitch, except for a brief pause to plug the heat gun back in after the puppy woke up and yanked it out of the wall - that totally doesn't count! I almost choked when I realized I would have to trim off some excess leaves, and also shorten the Cajun stem (argh!) But it all worked out - 8 minutes, 39 seconds! Yes! I can't wait to see YOUR speedy creations - meet you at the challenge! Falling For Leaves Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White, Basic Beige, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze & Crushed Curry CS; Early Espresso & Versamark Inks; Gold EP; Gold Sequins; #AYSI355.
