![]() EXCELLENT theme at this round of Inspire Create Challenge #174 - men! I shuffled through my sets and decided I wanted to play with my Tune In bundle today - I think of TV as about men from the amount of sports my hubby is watching these days, lol - can anyone relate?? I dressed it up with this gorgeous rayed sheet from our Full of Life DSP pack, I though all the blues would be appropriate for men! I stamped up a matching Blueberry Bushel TV, with Smoky Slate details, and stamped up a birthday screen! I finished with a few die cut winks, and some Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems. At the last second, I decided to shade in my TV knobs with a White Gel Pen - cool detail! Tune In Stamp Set; Full of Life DSP; Basic White, Smoky Slate & Blueberry Bushel CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blueberry Bushel Inks; Tune In Dies; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #ICC174.

![]() Woo hoo! I am SO excited by our pretty purple colors this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #445! I knew right away I wanted to focus on our glorious Changing Leaves bundle for this one! After embossing my white-on-white background, I stamped a large leafy stem in Moody Mauve, then surrounded it in detailed die-cuts in Blackberry Bliss and Wild Wheat - such a warm and yummy combo! After some experimentation, I was able to super-fray a little knot of our Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon - I felt like the regular ribbon was a tad too heavy for the look. A few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots was the perfect finishing touch! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our beautiful colors - meet you at the challenge! Changing Leaves Stamp Set; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Wild Wheat CS; Moody Mauve Ink; Changing Leaves Hybrid Dies & EF; Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #HSS445. ![]() Such a cute combo at this week's In{k}spire Me #540! Which way to go? I think I'll try for it all this round! Once I decided that I didn't HAVE to make my sentiment shape a circle (right??) I quickly landed on our beautiful Wild Ferns bundle - which I SO don't use enough! I thought mixing up the delicate die-cut fronds would help tame some of the colors, too, so that's just what I did! I added the Bubble Bath one to the back of the sentiment first, then snipped the Crumb Cake one apart, and tucked in pieces where I needed them - and I love how it came out! I nipped back and added the Fern EF to my Soft Sea Foam layer, and finished with a few Lost Lagoon dots, too. So pretty! Wild Ferns Stamp Set; Basic White, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, Bubble Bath & Crumb Cake CS; Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam & Bubble Bath Ink; Wild Ferns Dies; Fern EF; Rainbow Dots in Lost Lagoon; #IMC540. ![]() We have SO many layered shapes for you this round at Sunday Stamps #342! Yay! This seemed like a great chance to dive right in to some of my Holiday Catty pre-order items, lol. Today we have the Humble Home bundle, a super cute house set, that also has a punch! There are lots of different house combos to make with this one, but I settled for the line art one so I could COLOR! I'm also showing off some new DSP - this is from the Take a Bow DSP pack, a 6 x 6 collection that has 12 sheets of 4 patterns! SO useful to have the quantity! I love the happy patterns and colors it has, too! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Humble Home Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Happy Home Builder Punch; Earth Tone Shimmer Gems in Garden Green; #SSC342. ![]() Oo, I love the theme at this round of Cardz 4 Guyz #353 - camping or outdoors! While I do have several great choices for this theme, I still can't help gravitating back to my giant pile of scan-n-cut Zoo Crew critters - that outdoors sheet - it gets me every time, lol. LOVE these guys! And I still have quite the stash of pieces already cut out thanks to my zeal when I first learned to use my scan-n-cut, lol. I chose my 3 fave characters for camping, along with some trees, and arranged a cute tableau over a Lemon Lime Twist mountain range I cut out with my Forever Forest dies. I think they all look like they're having a camping blast! I finished with some Tinsel Gems, and this oh-so-versatile Birthday sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set. So happy with how this came out! Simply Said Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP (retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Forever Forest Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #C4G353. ![]() We have a such a pretty theme for you this round at As You See It #330 - vintage or shabby chic! This is outside my usual wheelhouse! Fortunately, I still have my just-retired Season of Chic bundle to help me along! I was latecomer to this bundle, lol, it took me almost a year and a half to realize I HAD to have those dies! Today I just played with a few of the elements, double-stamping and stamping-off my shell and leaf, tucking in the glorious mesh, spattering. For the coup de grace, I even distressed the edges of my background, lol. Not too bad for not having any classically "vintage" stamps! I can't WAIT to see YOUR vintage/shabby projects for this one - you all always amaze me! Meet you at the challenge! Season of Chic Stamp Set (retired 2024); Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Distressed Gold & Oxidized Copper CS; Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral & Pretty Peacock Inks; Chic Dies (retired); Linen Thread; Gilded Gems; #AYSI330. ![]() Snow in August Class Saturday August 17! AAA Cards Challenge #271 is anything goes, but with an optional twist of holiday travels! I decided to go with this relaxing setting for my vacation theme - that's what it's all about for us! I also tried to keep it super CAS, with a white-on-white layer and softer coloring. I have been neglecting my Watercolor Pencils for a LONG time, lol, so I thought I'd give them a go for this! I also set everything using a Blender Pen - usually I would use a Water Painter, but I wondered if it would work this way - I think it did! I decided the Flat Pearls were a good fit for an extra bit of shine, too! Seaside View Stamp Set (retired 2021); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Watercolor Pencils Assortments 1 & 2 - Balmy Blue, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso; Flat Pearls; #AAA271. ![]() An Exciting Announcement! I went with a pretty minimum selection of ideas, lol, mostly because I was fixated on the memory of a rosette stamp in one of our old Paper Pumpkins - that would be the perfect starting place! I dug that out first, just so I could see what else I had to work with, and pulled August 2020's World Greatest set for a look. Yup, there it is! How about a simple congrats card in bright colors! When I spotted my Gingham Gala DSP in Lemon Lime Twist for my bright color, I thought the pattern was kinda state fairish - at least, that's what I remember from my 4H days, lol. I found some first-run ribbon to go with, and finished with some celebratory stars, too (they were laying out on my desk, lol, so I decided to use them!) It all hangs together pretty well, I think! World's Greatest Stamp Set (Aug 2020 Paper Pumpkin); Gingham Gala DSP in Lemon Lime Twist (retired); Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Lemon Lime Twist & Granny Apple Green Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon (retired); Adhesive Backed Stars (retired); #FF0165. ![]() Snow in August Class Saturday August 17! Time for another tic-tac-toe at Retro Rubber #237! I am always challenged by which "row to hoe" on these, lol - I change my mind a lot, too! This time, I went with the right-hand column - Patterned Paper - Twine - and my choice, I chose diecutting! Some pretty paper I haven't played with in a bit is my glorious A Little Latte pack - I love this stuff so much! I will be stretching this in my hoard for quite some time to come! I knew I wanted to diecut some of the DSP images, too, and to keep it Retro, I went back to 2017's Coffee Cafe for the sentiment! I love to pull old sentiments for current sets - so many ways to stretch it all out! Anyway, this sweet little oval was just right for my trio of cups over that swirly background - I feel a run to Black Rock coming on! I can't wait to see your tic tac toe projects - and don't forget to make it Retro! I thought for sure I would do an airplane, or maybe a motorcycle, lol, but then I realized - I haven't stamped yet with my new Potions & Spells bundle (available as an Online Exclusive!) and it has a big 'ole witches' cauldron in it! THAT'S something metallic, right?? I got to work right away! First I pulled this pretty and dotty sheet from our super-old Frightful Sight DSP - I think maybe 2012? - that I rescued from someone else's clean-out, lol. I actually don't get the Halloween papers too often, so an opportunity to replenish my own stash at the right (free!) price was too good to pass up, lol. From there, I stamped this cool cauldron onto Smoky Slate, and juiced up the details a little with a Smoky Slate Blend Marker. A few bubbles and a nosy crow finished things off! So fun! I can't wait to see YOUR metallic projects this round - meet you at the challenge!
