Ahhh, AAA Cards #272 hit me right where it counts, lol, ALL my favorite words right on the sketch: any shape/any color! Yes! It occurred to me that all the little yummies in our upcoming More Than Autumn bundle would be just the right size for this sketch - and all those "any shapes"... How delightful! I HAD to do this funny little pumpkin spice celebration! So fun, and I smiled and laughed the whole time I was making it, lol. I ALSO got to break out all the "food colors" for the coloring, too - Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, I almost felt bad about squeezing in the Crumb Cake, too! A few shiny sequins add some points of light, and I have just enough time to run for a foo-foo coffee before a meeting - perfect! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; More Than Autumn Dies; Shiny Sequins; #AAA272.

Woo hoo! Time for another speed challenge at As You See It #331 - and the theme is FRUIT! Coolio!! I knew the best way to cut some time would be to have some fruity DSP, so I went hunting through my retired papers first - I thought I had this really cool cherry sheet still - but then, I came across my still almost full pack of You're A Peach - sold!! I dug out the stamp bundle, and some retired Pear Pizzazz CS and ink - found this pretty Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon in the cardstock folder, too, so let's do that, too! I snagged Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for my peach and I was set! Let's start the clock! Cut my layers, and I want top show as much peach as possible, so I had to go landscape. Tie on the ribbon and start on the peach - I didn't lose much time stamping a second peach - rocking and rolling some Calypso didn't work out and I had to switch to a sponge dauber. A quick trip to the die cutting machine, a quick punch for my sentiment, slap it all together, AND I still have time to dig out some bling! Yay! I clocked in at a cool 7 minutes, 21 seconds! Not too shabby! I can't WAIT to see your fruit, too, AND your awesome speedy time! Meet you at the challenge! Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set (retired 2022); You're A Peach DSP (retired); Basic White & Pear Pizzazz (retired) CS; Petal Pink, Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz (retired) Inks; Peach Dies (retired); Large Oval Punch (retired); Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon (retired); Iridescent Pastel Gems in Calypso Coral; #AYSI331. Very cute - this month's If You Give A Crafter a Cookie #195 wants us to "be happy!" I have to admit, I took off first on the colors, lol, which made me think bumble bees, which led me to Bee My Valentine! From there, I wanted a good "happy" sentiment, and started the hunt! Then I remembered my hybrid bundle Thoughtful Moments - there's a BIG happy in there! The fait was accompli! I did my sentiment first, inking up the correct side of the embossing folder so I could get a good black outline around the embossed phrase - love it! Next I did bees in three yellows, and quickly realized I could face them in different directions - cool! I wish now I did their cute broken line "tracks," but I had already adhered the sentiment, and pop dotted to the base, sigh - next time! I did fill in with a few discreet hearts, at least, lol... Bee My Valentine Stamp Set; Thoughtful Moments Hybrid EF; Basic White & Daffodil Delight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry & Lemon Lolly Inks; Bee Builder Punch; Adhesive Hearts; #Cookie195. I'm so super excited that this month's theme at AAA Birthday #64 is critters! I can never get enough of them, lol... As I was checking over my current critter section, I spied my remainder of the By Your Side kit - SUCH cute kitties and dogs in this kit! It was a generous kit, and I still have a few cats, plus one Bassett Hound, left, lol. I decided to use my last "tangled" kitty - isn't he the cutest? While I did use the included stamp set on the envelope, I pulled out my Simply Said set for my birthday sentiment - I can't believe how much I use this set! I gave him some Gold Cording Trim to wiggle around on, and also used the last of the kit's heart embellies, too. Since I was doing tone-on-tone layers, I also decided to distress my top layer - such a quick detail! By Your Side & Simply Said Stamp Sets; Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Crumb Cake Inks; Gold Cording Trim; Gold Heart Embellishments; By Your Side Diecut; Distressing Tool; #AAAB64. Who's ready for an end of summer campout?? We are at Retro Rubber #238! Smell that wood smoke! You KNOW I had to pull out my beloved Greatest Journey suite for this one, lol - I can't get enough of it still! Even though it retired in 2023, I have carefully hoarded plenty of the Enjoy the Journey DSP, too - perfect for my mountain backdrop here! I still have Starry Sky CS and inks, too, but for some reason I just had Blackberry on the brain today, lol, so out it came! I stamped and stamped off some pretty trees to surround my fancy tent, and set up a hiker nearby, too! The "mountain' sentiment had to be there as well, and I got to use my Transparent Dots - woo hoo! I can't wait to see YOUR "great outdoors" - and don't forget to make it Retro! Greatest Journey Stamp Set (retired 2023); Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Fresh Freesia CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Greatest Journey (retired) & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Transparent Dots in Blackberry Bliss; #RRCB238. Just in time to say goodbye to summer - our theme this round at Make My Monday #233 is "on the beach!" Besides loafing, my favorite beach activity is collecting seashells, of course! Like a relaxing treasure hunt! Our still-beloved Friends Are Like Seashells bundle is the perfect showcase for this, and I did up a sandy haul for today's card! I started with a pretty beach-y sheet from our Sand & Sea DSP pack over Seaside Spray - I still miss this color, lol... Next I did up some hybrid shells in Basic Beige, and then daubed on a little bit of color to make them pop just a tiny bit. I found this pretty Twine in my Seaside scraps folder, and finished with some Opal Rounds. I so love this! I can't wait to see YOUR beach scenes this round - meet you at the challenge! Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set (retired 2023); Sand & Sea DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Beige & Seaside Spray (retired) CS; Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink & Soft Sea Foam Inks; Seaside Seashells Dies (retired); Seashells EF (retired); Flowers For Every Season Twine (retired); Opal Rounds; #MMM233. Yay! Time for a new round at NBUS #65 - and I have PLENTY of new stuff to ink up! I'll be honest - from our upcoming Holiday Mini Catty, the one I couldn't WAIT to get inky with was this one, the More Than Autumn bundle! Pumpkin Spice Latte?? Yes, please! Such cute little illustrations, fabulous dies, including LOTS of fun words - it's dreamy! I started with this adorable coffee cup, and put a cute pumpkin on it to go with built sentiment. So yummy! This old sheet from our Plaid Tidings pack was perfect for Fall, too! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Plaid Tidings DSP (retired); Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss & Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; More Than Autumn Dies; Faux Glass Dots; #NBUS65. WOWZA! Cupcake Inspirations #600 is celebrating a BIG milestone - for the 600th challenge, they'd like us to make them a birthday card! You got it! I couldn't resist diving in to my newly arrived Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin kit for this one - and also the bonus stamp set we got this month, Year After Year! One of the fancy fold card bases included just begged to be chopped up - so I could feature this pretty panel of LOTS of candles all sparkling together - too many to count, just like this challenge! I did up a quick banner and sentiment, and added a little candle just for fun, and some Night of Navy Twine. I needed some sparklies, too, so on went a few Iridescent Pastel Gems in Gold. So pretty - I love the papers in this kit! Time For Cake & Year After Year Paper Pumpkin (Aug 2024); Basic White & Moody Mauve CS; Pretty in Pink, Moody Mauve & Night of Navy Inks; Birchwood 3D EF; Night of Navy Baker's Twine; Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems; #CIC600. What fun! Shopping Our Stash #528 is a color challenge - super cute ones, too! These colors together made me think of fancy Christmas cookies right away, lol, or maybe I'm just hungry! Anyway, I went straight for 2021's Frosted Gingerbread bundle - I still so love this set! I did up three cookies with fancy frosting, and stamped my sentiment to go with. I found these pretty stripes for my background in our upcoming A Little Bit Festive Specialty DSP, and remembered this pretty die shape for the sentiment by then. Or maybe I installed a search feature here just so I could look it up, lol - I'll never tell! It was here all along, I swear! To finish things off, I remembered these pretty peppermint embellies from our old November 2020 Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin - I still have 2 sheets of these! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set (retired 2021); A Little Bit Festive DSP; Basic White, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler & Pretty in Pink CS; Crumb Cake Ink; Gingerbread & Potted Succulent Dies (both retired); Jolly Gingerbread Embellishments (retired); #SOS528. Oo, check out this fun tiled sketch at Sketch Saturday #757! Love it! Now, we all know I'm famous for only seeing "any shape," right? So, those aren't little squares, lol, they are cute tiny birds, getting ready for the holidays! All thanks to the gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP, and this stunning sentiment from our upcoming Peaceful Season bundle! I had a time choosing 4 little birds and getting them cut out first, lol. Then I realized I could pull in one of my pre-order stamp sets from the upcoming Holiday Catty! Peaceful Season is just chock full of gorgeous sentiments in mixed fonts and sizes, with a stunning set of fancy builder dies to go with - I can see a tag buffet ahead with these beauties! I finished with a few clear 3-berry clusters from our Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Berries, too. I'm so pleased with how this came out! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Nests of Winter DSP; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Peaceful Season Dies; Pearl Berries; #SS757. |
