Snow Bauble

Excellent - CAS Christmas has the perfect theme for us this month with "decorations!"
It would be SO easy to go overboard with this one, lol, I can go to town on some Christmas decor! I managed to hang on to the brief, though, and kept it CAS. I haven't yet explored much of the amazing dies that go with Bright Baubles, but here's one from Delicate Baubles, of a sweet snowflake that you can float over the background color of your choice. I did a single bauble, and went with Misty Moonlight for my blue, adding a little hanging thread, too, that's also in the dies. I couldn't resist a few more of those Pool Party sequins leftover from our Adventure Begins Paper Pumpkin kit again, too! They go with everything!

Such a cute inspiration pic at this week's Cupcake Inspirations #525 - love those colors!
I went back and forth and finally settled on the Measure of Love stamp set - I really couldn't help it for this challenge, lol! I know we don't have have cupcakes on our cards, but sometimes, well, it just works out that way! This is actually the first time I've used this little pyramid of cupcakes, and I decided to color with Blends, rather than use the little fill-in stamps - tasty! I kept things really simple, added some layering, and finally finished with some leftover Paper Pumpkin sequins - perfect color match!

Ah, a perfect summer challenge - Less Is More #449 wants to see "shades of blue!"
I think is just the chance I needed to finally pull out my new Adorning Designs Masks - check out these snow flakes! I did a smaller area just around my bottom right corner, turning and overlapping Balmy Blue over Pool Party - I can't believe how green my Pool Party looks against the Balmy Blue - what has happened here?? Lol. Anyway, I added a nice dark sentiment in Misty Moonlight, from Christmas To Remember, and finished with a few clear Elegant Faceted Dots. Has anyone noticed yet that I totally did a one-layer card without being asked?? Too funny...

Loads of Love

Oh goody! CAS on Friday #211 wants us to show off our favorite stamp! How to choose?
So if we're talking "of all time," I guess I'm gonna have to go with 2004's Loads of Love. This little truck will hold a special place in my heart forever (along with Best of Cluck, sigh - it was close!) I love that I can play with the little companion set, Loads of Love Accessories, and I even have a couple wheels that go with it, too - remember those?? Anyway, a simple red truck on the way home from finding the tree is just right for this CAS challenge - pay no attention to the tiny snowflake sequins, lol...

Eee! Time to get spattered at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #520! How to fit in "plant life" for SU Only #282, too?
A quick dig for my trusty Spritzer, and a browse that turned up Forever Fern (still current!) and I am on my way! I decided to stick with our newest greens, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. I did a quick background spritz with my Evergreen Stamp-n-Write Marker for my background, and cut out the large fern shape with the dies, stamping a sprig in Succulent to go over it, too. A few leafy accents, some Evergreen Jewels, and all I needed was this encouraging sentiment to be done - beautiful!

I had to laugh when I saw the challenge at As You See It #256 today - our favorite animal!
I don't know that I could pick just one - I love them all! But, being forced to choose in the STAMPING world, I have to go with the chickens! I even have a current one to play with (because we all know that Best of Cluck from 2006 RULES) so I went with that! Hey Birthday Chick is pretty dang cute, I love this one of the chicken with the balloon, lol, and all these birds really cry out for bold fun colors! Having dies for them is just the icing on the cake! I added the "you're still a Spring chicken" sentiment to the inside!

Gorgeous combo over at this week's In{k}spire Me #455! Check out those colors!
I got to thinking, I haven't done a pretty scripture card lately - I bet I can find a stamp that fits that banner shape! And of course I did, from Our Daily Bread's Scripture Collection 6. I don't think I've stamped this one before! Anyway, the colors really reminded me of all the lovely prints from our beautiful Harvest Meadow DSP pack, so I pulled in some of those sheets for this one, too - so pretty! I even cut out a few stems in the coordinating colors, too!

Ah ha! We have a cool sketch AND a cutie pic combo at this week's Fusion "kitty butterfly" challenge!
Since I'm not feeling very kitten-ish today, I'm focusing on just the sketch - and I want to do a Christmas card! It's been at least a few days, right? Lol. I haven't played much with my Frosted Gingerbread suite, and I LOVE the DSP, so I decided to go with that! I found a sweet sheet that had icing decorations on one side, and yummy bright candy on the other - can't go wrong with that! I added a touch of green with this ornament cookie, and finished with the sweetest sentiment of the bunch. I want cookies!

Badger Birthday

They have a BIG milestone over at the The Male Room #153 this week - their 8th birthday! So we get to make a birthday card to help celebrate!
Looking over today's prospects, I decided Badger Bestie needed some ink - I love these guys! And I think they're perfect for a guy card, too, of course, lol. I did a partial background with what's turning out to be my fave sheet from the Pattern Party DSP pack, and then set about showing off this badger's dance moves! I did my accents in Coastal Cabana, because honestly, I think they forgot to call this color out on the DSP - don't you think? I even had a few Glitter Enamel Dots for extra pops!

Nature's Harvest Class on August 14, 3 PM

Merry Everything

Sa-WEET! Retro Rubber # 164 is running one of their "anything goes" challenges this week! I always take those as a personal challenge to pull out the oldest sets I have, lol...
OK, I didn't go for my oldest, but I did pick a good one - Merry Everything from 2014! I love this set, and this tag in particular, and I use it all the time to make quick generic Christmas tags for my cookie swaps - it's so pretty! I got to thinking, though, that I haven't used it on a CARD in forever, and how cute is it in Fresh Freesia with our new Sale-A-Bration Penguin Playmates paper? See, I was also just thinking how I never use these smaller all-over character pages, so I got all efficient today and got two jobs done at once, lol. So handy!
