Now that that's settled, I decided that means I can play with the gorgeous new Happy Scenes stamp set - I love little window settings! So fun to get some coloring in, too!  Oh good, another landscape sketch this week at Retro Sketch #177! Feeling floral for this one! Feeling floral sent me right out to Gift from the Garden! I've wanted to do something with these cute little pots since I first saw the set in the catty! Now, my final result is a lot more pink than I originally envisioned, but I still really like it! It was also good to pull some pink twine out of my "stash," too - back-to-school cleaning here! I have just the mask for this! So today is going to be another one of those weird confession moments for me. Shh. This card is the first time I have ever SPRITZED. SHHH, I said! I don't know why, I've just always been scared to, lol. Is it messy? Does it get everywhere? Does it waste a ton of ink for no good reason? I can't be a party to that! So, anyway, once I got over my hang-ups about it, I've figured out how easy and containable it is, and how to manage the amount of ink. As usual, I now wonder why it's taken me so long to get here, lol. Hint: a little rubbing alcohol does WONDERS! We're totally doing this in class sometime! I decided to go birthday with these bright colors, and who doesn't love a little cupcake for their birthday?! These brights sure do go well together, though, and it was nice to add little splashes of color with the gold old Gorgeous Grunge. I might have to have a cupcake for lunch today...  Now this week's Freshly Made Sketch #199 is awesome to work with! Big wide open space for doing ANYTHING! Gonna have to do something fun in the color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge #154, too! So, it turns out that I found these colors VERY challenging, lol. I finally landed on making my own "DSP" of sorts, that I could stamp this scripture from Hebrews over. I ended up throwing lots of Melon Mambo candy dots in for that color - apparently I don't use it much since I had three sheets that ONLY had this color on it, lol. Maybe I should have put them on the envelope, too!  LOVE the circle element on this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper #9! Shall I give it a try with Sunday Stamps #107 gorgeous color challenge? Yes, I think so! So of course these lovely colors say "flowers" to me, and that nice large circle then says "BIG flower," lol. It was fun to bring our Blended Bloom and play with coloring for this one. I did get a little off track with my greens: I colored with Old Olive, but then when I went looking for ribbon I realized I don't have any in Old Olive! Grrr! So I switched to Pear Pizzazz from there on in...  Hello Life: Lots of Cards Class
I'm so excited to announce this month's class - Hello Life: Lots of Cards! This class will take our leftovers from our Hello Life Grid projects, and make 20 note cards and envelopes! Woo hoo! The bonus is using up all the leftover supplies from those projects, too! So, class is still on for Saturday, August 15, 3 pm. All you need to bring are your leftovers from our Project Life kit, your favorite adhesive and I'll provide the rest, for the screaming deal of $10! There will also be drinks and snacks, plus your take-home treat from me! RSVP today! PS. Not too dressy, but ready in a flash for quite note of good wishes out the door.
