It's Jean Fitch Appreciation Day!

For those who haunt the SU! demo boards, Jean Fitch is our amazing guru with boundless knowledge of all things Stampin' Up!  Always quick with an answer, or a word of encouragement, Jean received a special "Statement of the Heart" award at convention last year, just for her!  For her "anniversary," many of us have made her appreciation cards to remind her that we all still have the "lovin' feelin'" for her!  Thanks, Jean, you're a life-saver!

Perfectly Preserved & Sweet Essentials stamps sets; More Mustard, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla CS; Orchard Harvest DSP; Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso inks; Cannery framelits; Scallop Edge punch; Designer Natural buttons; Linen thread.  Based on Retro Sketches #22.

OK, I'm trying to be more on top of this week's Retro Sketch - ta daaaaaa!  This is a fun way for me to break in the new stamps that are just calling and calling to me, waiting for their class assignment to roll around!  This week, it was the new single stamp Tweet Leaves, another one that SU! made JUST for me and my markers!  Yeah, baby!  The circular element in the sketch pretty much seemed to whisper, "Pssst!  DOILY!" at me, as well...
Enjoy!

Tweet Leaves, Wonderfall, Sweet Essentials & Woodgrain stamp sets; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Espresso & Naturals White CS; Designer Naturals button; Hemp twine (retired); Marina Mist, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Old Olive & Early Espresso inks; Large Doily & Autumn Accents dies.

Well, guess I have babies on the brain this week!  Here's another Spanish card for my Espanol box, using the Al Punto stamp set.  I have to admit, this new In Color, Summer Starfruit, is starting to grow on me.  Never thought I'd say that!  I CASE'd this cutie from Maryse Pelletier.

Al Punto (Easy Events) stamp set; Whisper White, Baja Breeze & Summer Starfruit CS; Pool Party DSP; Adorning Accents edgelit & embossing folder; 2 3/4" Scallop Circle punch; 2" Circle punch; Piercing pack; Aqua Painter; self-adhesive rhinestones; Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon.

Wow, trying to keep up with the challenge of a weekly sketch is a real stretch for me!  Here I am back again with Retro Sketches Challenge #23 - with a Baby Bundle spin!  This week's layout was simple and sweet - definitely what I want more of in my life!

I really enjoyed this one - I love this stamp set!  I think more of my friends need to have more babies, so I can use it more often...

Baby Bundle stamp set; Wild Wasabi, Close to Cocoa (retired), So Saffron  & Whisper White CS; Storytime DSP; matching inks.

Ta daaaa!  As requested, we are doing our holiday cards early this year, so that we can all MAKE our own cards in plenty of time!  Right?  Right!
These four cards will cover the remaining sets (and other goodies) we liked from the Holiday Mini, and never fear, there will be plenty more Christmas celebrating coming your way!  Class is scheduled for Thursday, Aug 16, 6:30 pm, at my house, bring your favorite adhesive, and make sure to RSVP!  See you soon! (And save the date for Aug 30, for an awesome Christmas Kiss Countdown bonus class!)

Now that school starts this week, it's been time to bring out the decor to celebrate!  Hee hee, actually, we made a cute shadow box insert in our last class which I have out now, but it looks so lonely, I decided to make a few cards to complete my foyer table!  These were quick and fun - I miss elementary school - middle schoolers are so grouchy!  And a bit smellier!

Perfectly Preserved & Teacher's Pet (retired) stamps sets; Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight & Riding Hood Red CS; Silver Shimmer Specialty CS; Storytime DSP; Timeless Junior Alphabet dies; Stripes embossing folder; Cannery framelits; Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon.  Rogue items: white linen bookbinding thread; chalkboard stripe dsp scrap from who knows where...

I was surfing around and found this adorable card by Maryse Pelletier.  Only, it was in FRENCH!  The funny thing is, I have this set, too, in Spanish, so I felt inspired to make this an international bazaar!  Time to get crackin' on my Espanol box for Mountainview Presbyterian's Gift show November 16 & 17!

Whisper White & Bashful Blue CS; DSP Packs in Subtles & Brights; Tafetta ribbons in Bashful Blue & Kraft; White Baker's Twine;  Stitched Grosgrain in white; Al Punto (Easy Events) & The More the Merrier (retired) stamp sets; Labels Collection framelits & piercing pack; Stripes embossing folder; Scallop Border punch; Real Red button; Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
