Oo, another weird-I-mean-fun challenge from AAA Cards #295! It's called 1 + 1, and from their grid, I have to use the center circle plus one of the outside ones! OK, I really wanted to buckle down and go ultra-CAS for this one! White-on-white layers, NO embellies {GASP}, minimal images - I think I made it, and I even really like the results! I think AAA is onto something with this challenge! I pulled out my Beach Day stamp set from last year - it's been floating around my desk this past week or so, lol. I did a little sandy tableau, with a castle in the middle, and anchored both ends with a beach ball and a seagull - feeling the ocean yet? I added the sentiment, and dressed it up a tiny bit by going over "sunshine" in Daffodil Delight - just right! Beach Day Stamp Set (retired 2025); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Dark & Light Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; #AAA295.

Aw, what a great holiday to celebrate - Festive Friday #189 is for National Friendship Day! I pulled out some more sets from Sarah's stash for today's card - the Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels bundles! I chose the large daisy image to color, and pulled this sweet "friend" sentiment, too - that's two items! I knew I had to stamp out those adorable little ladybugs, too, lol - so cute! I finished with a few Glitter Sequins to add my third list item - "sparkle!" So sweet, I might need to get these bundles after all, lol. Mixed Florals Stamp Set & Dies; Mixed Labels Stamp Set & Dies; Florals in Bloom DSP; Basic White & Cloud Cover CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pecan Pie, Pool Party & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Glitter Sequins; #FF0189. We have a sweet circles sketch for you this round at Retro Rubber #260! When I rummaged through my retired shelves for some likely circle stamps, I quickly spotted Perfect Pomegranate - this was a Sale-A-Bration set from 2022! So cute, but it didn't have any sentiments, so I added my trusty Simply Said set to round it out, lol. I even stamped my fruit in the short-lived Merry Merlot ink - I wish it had stuck around longer! This with the Old Olive details makes for a real striking combo! Such a party! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our sketch o' circles - and don't forget to make it RETRO! Perfect Pomegranate (retired 2022) & Simply Said Stamp Sets; Old Olive DSP (retired); Basic White & Old Olive CS; Merry Merlot (retired) & Old Olive Inks; Layered Leaves EF (retired); Stylish Shapes Dies; Old Olive Faux Glass Dots; #RRCB260. We want to see your masculine cards this round at Make My Monday #257! So, still playing with other people's toys (and stamp sets, lol) I came across the Around It All Stamp set - check out that big wonky congrats! This is the stamp set that goes with the Around It All Dies - SO many wonky circles! It doesn't happen often, but I only got the dies in this bundle, so it was a little treat to play with the stamp set today! I tried to up the manliness by floating everything over a Timeless Plaid DSP sheet, and I did slip in some glittery ribbon, but very tasteful, right? I added a couple smaller wonky circles, that I embossed with the Basics 2 EF - I like the deboss side just as much! A few matte gold sequins add little points of light! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for the guys in your life - meet you at the challenge! Around It All Stamp Set & Dies; Timeless Plaid DSP; Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon & Crumb Cake CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Basics 2 EF; Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim; Gold Pastel Sequins; #MMM257. Oo, this is a tough one at this round of Time Out Challenge #293 - inspired my favorite song! Well, as usual, I'm going at it a little backwards, lol. I decided I wanted to use the Everyday Skies DSP for sure, because it always reminds me of Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky, definitely one of my favorites! I hope enough of the sky shows, because I feel like the "you are loved" arched sentiment is just right for the song, too, lol. So, super simple, all about the paper - "gonna go to the place that's the best!" Everyday Arches Stamp Set & Dies; Everyday Skies DSP; Basic White CS; Night of Navy Ink; Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots; #TOC293. Oh, very cool - Shopping Our Stash #552 is called "wood is good!" So funny! I had to dig out some fun wood stuff from my stash for this one, lol. It was such an easy choice to pull in the Country Woods DSP for my background, but where to go from there? A quick dig through an embellishments drawer yielded this little container of wooden Textural Elements - and those cute berries make me think Christmas! So what Christmas set features "wood?" Sophisticated Sled from 2024 was the perfect choice! I stamped up the sled, added a festive swag and a Linen Thread tow rope, then tucked in my wooden berries. I finished with my favorite sentiment and some Festive Pearls - so sweet! Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2024); Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Mossy Meadow & Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies; Linen Thread; Textural Elements; Festive Pearls; #SOS552. Hope you're ready to get cookin', because we have another fun recipe challenge for you at As You See It #353! And of course, cookin' up cards is a little more challenging when you're away on retreat, and didn't bring a lot of the ingredients, lol - good times! I went poking through Sarah's stamp sets again, and came up with Thankful Garden, because it has these elegant leaf sprigs in the dies, that I thought would look gorgeous in gold foil! I set up a little strip of our still-available Season of Elegance DSP to set them off, and wound on some Gold Cording Trim for good measure (I did grab this on my way out the door, lol.) Next up, I heat-embossed this sweet sentiment in Gold, and discovered that it fit perfectly in this Textured Notes die! A few gold sequins to finish, and I think I made it! I can't wait to see what YOU cook up with our elegant recipe - meet you at the challenge! Thankful Garden Stamp Set & Dies; Season of Elegance DSP; Basic White & Basic Beige CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Gold Foil; Gold Cording Trim; Pastel Sequins in Gold; #AYSI353. Pumpkin Club July 26! Aw, Cupcake Inspirations #622 has a cute theme for us this round - "for the birds!" The birds I am currently obsessed with right now are these sweet die-cut doves in the Peace on Earth Bundle - how about both on one card today? I set up this pretty floral background over Cloud Cover, and did up the sentiment banner-style across the center, and also floated it over some Dark Gray Glimmer Paper. Next up came the birds, after I dotted their eyes, lol, and finished with a few white Hues of Blue Flowers. So simple and pretty! Peace on Earth Stamp Set & Dies; Peaceful Garden DSP; Basic White & Cloud Cover CS; Dark Gray Glimmer Paper; Misty Moonlight Ink; White Hues of Blues Flowers; #CIC622. Pumpkin Club July 26! What a sweet, sweet sketch at Inspire Create Challenge #197 this round! One of my favorite things to do at crafting retreat, as I've said, is to play with everyone else's toys, lol. We all get such different things! For example, I somehow totally missed THIS set, Arched Wishes, meant to coordinate with our Everyday Arches dies, which I DO have, though I didn't break them out for this. But look how super cute this cupcake is!! I loved it, and so perfect for this fun sketch! It had these little garlands, too, I swear it was fate, lol. I let this playful sheet from the Florals in Bloom DSP pack dictate the colors, and it was just right! Arched Wishes Stamp Set; Florals in Bloom DSP; Basic White & Darling Duckling CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Darling Duckling & Timid Tiger Inks; Crumb Cake, Timid Tiger & Darling Duckling Blends Markers; Lemon Lolly Twine; Shiny Sequins; #ICC197. Ahhh, one of my favorite themes at this round of CAS on Friday #313 - Christmas in July! What a chance to ink up the other half of my "Jar" purchase - Jars of Joy! I couldn't resist this little jar o'gingerbread, lol, especially since it's a two-step, so I can add just a bit more detail! I used a couple scraps of the Take a Bow DSP, sadly now gone, sigh, but still super cute! I know our brief is to keep it CAS, but the Peppermints and Real Red Baker's Twine just HAD to get in there, lol. Hopefully this can still pass muster! Jar of Joy Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSO (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Crumb Cake & Pecan Pie Inks; Real Red Blend Marker; Sweet Jar Builder Punch; Real Red Baker's Twine; Adhesive Peppermints; #CASOF313.
