Sparkles Reindeer

So excited that it's time for the next challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #101 - include a reindeer! Yay! I think I'll combine with this week's AAA #142 one layer and black & white challenge, too!
So, I think this is NOT a natural marriage - clean and simple one-layer (in black and white, no less!) and sparkle reindeer, lol. I always struggle with feeling like I'm not doing enough already - and I'm trying to pull that off on a Christmas card?? Oh well, here's where I've landed, and I do like it - I just have a sneaking feeling that I didn't really do anything, lol. In the end, I caved enough to add some black rhinestones at least - it's for Sparkles, after all!

The "Other" Truck

Ahh, another fun holiday challenge at this month's CAS Christmas for June - this time the theme is "gifts!" Gotta love it!
So I have to confess, yes, I've been feeling a bit guilty for bringing in the new truck in Ride With Me the other day - I can't have Loads of Love thinking I don't still love it! So today's presents are coming freight delivery, courtesy of Loads of Love (from way back in 2004!) and Loads of Love accessories. And yes, I DID think of just putting the presents in the new truck (shh!) but to my surprise, the new truck is actually bigger than the love truck! In my mind, when I saw Ride With Me in the new catty, I immediately thought of it as smaller - oops! Anyway, it's still a blast to pull out all my love truck pieces - it still toots my heart!

High Seas (& Pumpkin Club June 29!)

I love our landscape sketch at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #413 - like an ocean view!
Following that theme, I just HAD to try out my new 3-D Embossing Folder, High Seas! I'm pretty sure it was made for the whole gorgeous Sailing Home suite, BUT, we also still have High Tide to play with! TWO lighthouses, people! Amazing! So, I had to play around a little bit to get the right sandwich in my Big Shot for this folder - the new 3-D folders are just a tiny bit slimmer than the old dynamic jobs. The sandwich that worked for me was original platform with no tabs, one chipboard insert from a Paper Pumpkin kit, and the new folder with the CS inside. I guess all machines might be a tiny bit different, and I may try to add just a hair more depth to my homemade "plate," but I did find that a regular cutting plate was just too thick. Learning new skills - yay!

Grateful Prose

Lots of sunny flower inspiration this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #316!
My mind immediately went to the sunflower quadrant on the inspiration pic - my sunflowers have just started blooming here - I've got three really tall ones! So I decided to bring out Painted Harvest for some bright layered stamping. I also brought out a new bundle to go with: Praiseworthy Prose has six definition-like sentiments, that you can highlight with a lovely swooshy initial from the accompanying Hand-Lettered Prose dies - so very cool! And I will totally confess, I am seriously planning on bringing out my old Define Your Life set, too, from 2007 - one of my first major purchases from SU!, lol. Anyway, I'm really pleased with this sunny card - hello, summer!

Yum! Check out our lovely berry shortcake inspired colors at this week's Sunday Stamps #207! Grab a fork and dig in with us!
Next up from my box of new goodies is the glorious Ride With Me set - a new truck, with dies for making a 3-D one! Eeek! Love it! I still have my old Loads of Love, and the LOL Accessories, not quite ready to let them go, lol, but this little cutie was first on my list - I can't have too many little pick-ups! I pulled in the birthday accessories for this one, check out those fun balloons! There's even a fun inside sentiment - what's not to love??

Not sure how I fell off this ride, but here I am back at Joy of Sets #006 - yay! I have become so fascinated by these tic-tac-toe challenges!
I gravitated right away to the left-hand column - thanks-patterned paper-punch. New goodies are flowing in my studio, and I just couldn't wait to break into the gorgeous See A Silhouette DSP! The suite it goes with actually has bundle with dies, so I scouted out a likely stamp set that I could do some punching for, and landed on our carried over Accented Blooms. I love the two sentiment shapes that we can punch out with our Tailored Tag punch! Perfect and bold - I've matched them up outside their set a few times now! The hardest part today was picking the sheet I wanted to feature - I bet you'll have trouble with that, too!

Together Forever

I'm so super excited to be a guest designer at this week's CAS on Friday #160 - and it's all about the people! Don't you just love the people?? Lol, that was a Madagascar reference, get it?
I was really keeping my fingers and toes crossed that my first big new catty order would get here in time for this challenge, because I SO wanted to feature Serene Silhouettes - just beautiful images in this one, and I love the sentiments that go with them, too. There's a brilliant die set that goes along as well, that includes three additional words, and I was so happy to incude one of those, too, lol. I tried to keep as much white space as I could, but I couldn't resist featuring Purple Posy again, lol. Even though I still don't have a stamp pad, I now have the markers, so I hauled out my old spritzing tool and went to town. Love it! I used to spritz EVERYTHING, lol.
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with over at CAS on Friday! See you there!

So pretty - In{k}spire Me #394 has such a cool breezy combo for us this week - love it!
I definitely wanted to include the study in blues this week, though I think I did the proportions a little different from the sketch, lol. I finally came up with an idea using our still-going-strong Sorry For Everything set - love this one, and how versatile it is with the different sentiment matchings. Some pretty Navy DSP from my retired Twinkle Twinkle stash anchors the bottom, and I used the big "sorry" to cover my image doodle. A fun challenge! At the last second, I sprinkled on some tiny blue sequin squares for just a touch more detail - just enough!

Check it out, Retro Rubber #112 has a super cute buttons and bows challenge this week for us! Hopefully I remember to go "retro" this time, lol. I'm sneaking in Stamp Ink Paper #201's cool colors, too!
I quickly realized I have a bunch of old buttons on hand still (!!) so I went hunting for a set that could take on a button pretty easily. I landed on Crazy About You - I can't BELIEVE this set is really from 2015! Time is flying, people! I kept things fairly simple, and layered the flowers flat over some contrasting Stitched Circles - the buttons add so much dimension, I wanted to keep everything else flat, lol. I love the finished look!

Time to mix it up again at this weeks Try Stampin' on Tuesday #412! Yay!
I'm afraid I could only manage the sketch this time, myself - my shelves look so bare now that I've rolled over all my retired stuff! Yikes! I was happy to spot Dandelion Wishes for my inspiration today, though - love these images! AND, they go great with this sentiment from our new Above The Clouds - let's soar like a dandelion seed, lol!
