We sure have some fresh colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #360! These gorgeous colors really made me want to go nautical, but then I got to thinking - how about a refreshing cocktail or two?? Our Cheers & Sips Stamp Set had just the thing! I floated my drinks over a Crushed Curry background, and I used our tasty Celebratory Sips DSP for a little boost, lol. I added some Lemon Lolly twine (since we have TWO yellows!) and even finished with some Balmy Blue Glossy Dots - I'm so happy with how it all came out! I can't wait to see YOUR takes on our lovely colors - meet you at the challenge! Cheers & Sips and Beach Day Stamp Sets; Crushed Curry & Celebratory Sips DSP; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red Blend Marker; Cheers & Sips Dies; 1 1/2" Circle Punch; Lemon Lolly Twine; Balmy Blue Glossy Dots; #SSC360. Aw, a really great challenge idea at this round of FarmQuest #71 - a dogs or cats theme! I decided to go with dogs - how not with a puppy in the house?? I couldn't resist breaking into my hoarded Playful Pets DSP for it, too - so many cute doggoes on those sheets! I layered some squares for my card design - so dramatic with the black, white and red, BUT, I also pulled in a sentiment from a set I won on a blog challenge - Say Woof from Newton's Nook! Really, the best doggy sentiments, lol. I added a few more details, but really, I let the paper do the work today! Newton's Nook Say Woof Stamp Set; Playful Pets DSP (retired); Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Matte Black Dots; Real Red Baker's Twine; #FQCB71. Critter Class 2025! Yay! I knew immediately that was what I would focus on, though that beach bag sure was tempting, lol. In the end, my beloved Tranquil Tulips from 2018 prevailed! To freshen them up just a tad, I paired them with our Spring Corners set, for a fun wrap-around sentiment. I stamped and layered with our Textured Notes dies, too - these are SO fun to layer! Love those little edge details... I had originally thought I'd do my accent petals in Melon Mambo over the Flirty Flamingo, but I ended up sticking with just the Flamingo for the stamping. I left in the Mambo background layer anyway, lol... Spring Corners & Tranquil Tulips (retired 2018) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Flirty Flamingo & Granny Apple Green Inks; Textured Notes Dies; Flirty Flamingo Enamel Dots; #HSS462. Such a fun landscape sketch this week at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #669! I was recently rooting through my dies box, and came across my old hybrid bundle of Twigs & Sprigs - and I'm ashamed to say I can't remember ever using it, even though it expired in 2023! {{BLUSH!!}} Today is the day, I guess, lol. I made a lovely background using the full embossing folder, and then picked out one of the sprigs in Mossy Meadow to go with my Sympathy sentiment from Something Fancy - so pretty! I really like the combo of the Mossy Meadow and the Soft Sea Foam, too! I brushed a tiny amount of Frost White fantast/x ink over my picked out sprig - I think my tiny little bottle is about done, lol. Something Fancy Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Soft Sea Foam CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Frost White Fantast/x Ink (retired); Twigs & Sprigs Hybrid EF & Dies (retired); Pressed Flower Motifs Embellishments; #TSOT669. Yum! AAA Cards #289 is singing my favorite song! I LOVE purple and green together! I decided to browse through my floral sets, because I think these colors really cry out for some flowers and their greenery! Simply Zinnia caught my eye right away, because I have TOTALLY seen actual zinnias in these colors, lol. So perfect! I settled on the bundled stems, and got to work with my Blends Markers - I love the bold colors for this one! As usual, I couldn't resist these tiny Berry Burst sequins to go along with the flowers - it all makes for a perfect thank you card! Simply Zinnia Stamp Set (retired 2024); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Berry Burst Shiny Sequins; #AAA289. Check out our sweet Spring flowers at Retro Rubber #254! After a quick rummage, I spotted our still-lovely Accented Blooms set, from 2020. This was such a fun one, and came paired with the Tailored Tag punch, too - I'm such a sucker for cute punches! I decided to color and fussy cut these pretty blooms, all in Spring colors, and chose the thank you sentiment to carry some blue for me, too. So elegant! I floated everything over some Country Woods DSP and Linen Thread, just right to set off these fresh flowers! I can't wait to see YOUR Spring flowers, too - meet you at the challenge, and don't forget to make it Retro! Accented Blooms Stamp Set (retired 2020); Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Balmy Blue Inks; Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Peach Pie, Pecan Pie, Pretty in Pink & Fresh Freesia Blends Markers; Tailored Tag Punch; Iridescent Balmy Blue Gems; #RRCB254. Who's ready for some fun with a fun fold at this round of Make My Monday #251! I started by looking over my papers this time - and I haven't used the gorgeous Nests of Winter in a minute! I went for a quick z-fold for this one, and there was already a decorated envelope in there, too, so I used papers that included that one! I love these little willow buds! I also picked a few of the tiny birds on ANOTHER sheet, and added those as well to my feature panel - they look so sweet! And one of the sentiments fits PERFECTLY on this tag from the Cheerful Daisies dies! So happy with how this came out! I can't wait to see YOUR fancy fun folds this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Winterly Tree Tops Stamp Set; Nests of Winter DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cheerful Daisies Dies; Clear Ribboned Dots; #MMM251. Oh my goodness, there's a National Golf Day to celebrate at Festive Friday #183! Hubby will be so thrilled, lol! Since I have a golfer in the house, lol, I didn't shy away from the golf celebration! I pulled out my ancient Fore! stamp set from 1997 for this awesome bag of clubs, and built my sentiment from 2020's Clubhouse set - such a riot! I pulled some Mossy Meadow to float this pretty plaid over from the Timeless Plaid DSP pack, and added some Linen Thread for my twine. I even finished with a few Crumb Cake Enamel Dot Essentials - that's pretty coordinated for my guy, lol... Fore! (retired 1997) & Club House (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Timeless Plaid DSP; Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Mossy Meadow Inks; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Golf Club Dies; Crumb Cake Enamel Essentials Dots; Linen Thread; #FF0183. I LOVE the theme at this round of Shopping Our Stash #546 - "outta' this world!" I'm steppin' out a little again, lol, and pulling in another Kindred Stamps set for this one! Today I finally got to play with Space Western, a take on the show Firefly - which we totally loved here! The set has a little Serenity ship in it (besides all the characters except for the doctor??) so that's what I went with - so fun to color and fussy cut! I thought it would look great over this starry background from my O Holy Night DSP - I really love the brushstrokes on this sheet, and I added a few extra stars, too! So fun! Definitely outta' this world, too! Kindred Stamps Space Western Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Misty Moonlight Inks; Smoky Slate, Pool Party & Peach Pie Blends Markers; Adhesive-Backed Stars; #SOS546. Time to get cookin' again with us at As You See It #347! Check out our delicious recipe, too! As soon as I saw that "animal" suggestion, I KNEW I was pulling out my Turtle-y Awesome suite! These guys are so cute - and super fun to color, too, so that knocks out another ingredient! Since dies and an embossing folder are also part of this suite, that was a cinch to add as well, so all I had to come up with was this Garden Green twine - it almost disappears in all those stripes, lol. I was so excited to try out some of the wardrobe accessories for my turtle - his apron and chef hat are so spiffy! I can't wait to see what YOU cook up for this round - meet you at the challenge! Turtle-y Awesome Stamps & Dies; Turtle-y Cute DSP; Basic White & Garden Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Turtle Textures EF; Garden Green Twine; Earth Tone Shimmer Gems; #AYSI347. |
