Hydrangea Colors

We have such a fun color challenge this week for SU Only #275, - hydrangea colors!
So, I have a little secret - I totally did NOT get anything from this year's Hydrangea Suite, lol.  It's pretty!  I just have a lot of other flowers, too, lol.  So I just went for a straight-up color gamp, and since I don't update my DSP color stacks very often, you get a range of patterns, too!  Win - win!  Lol...  Anyway, I decided my little scrappy layout could have this lovely sentiment from Ornate Thanks, and I cut it out with a die from Ornate Layers.  I let Highland Heather be my feature color, because, well, I AM Heather, lol.
I can't wait to see YOUR creations with these fun colors!  Meet you at the challenge!
Ornate Thanks Stamp Set; Highland Heather, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight, Rococo Rose & Old Olive DSP; Basic White CS; Highland Heather Ink; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SUOC275.

I'm stoked about this week's CAS on Friday #204 - I don't often have the chance to make baby cards, and this is good push!
I can't resist pulling out my Little Elephant set for this one - I love these guys!  I decided to go gender neutral with some greens today, too - so here's a look at Soft Sea Foam with with our new Soft Succulent - pretty!  I kept things pretty bare for the CAS brief, but I couldn't resist a few of these Soft Sea Foam Epoxy Dots I found - at least I hope that's what color they are, lol.  Let's hear it for the elephants!
Little Elephant Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White CS; Soft Sea Foam & Soft Succulent Inks; Elephant Builder Punch (retired); Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Soft Sea Foam Enamel Dots; #CASOF204.

Oh yum, check out these tasty colors at this week's As You See It #249!
After a quick browse, I decided to pull out my Daisy Lane set - I hardly ever use this one!  I kept the design fairly simple - I actually followed the sketch we played for our last Team Creative Challenge, sneaky sneaky!  The colors seemed to suit this pretty set, and I even have a little "it's your time to shine" inside!  I like the daisy in this color, and my center is a very pale wash of soft suede with an Water Painter - I like the faded look there!
Daisy Lane Stamp Set; Basic White, Mint Macaron & Flirty Flamingo CS; Mint Macaron, So Saffron & Soft Suede Inks; Daisy & Double Oval Punches; Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon; Pink Pearls; #AYSI249.

Woo hoo!  The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme this week right up my alley!  "How does your garden grow?"
I'm thrilled to have a chance to trot out the just-retired My Meadow set - I LOVE this whole landscape-building series!  I did just a little scene, with a wheelbarrow to show that work actually does get down out there, lol, and matched it with this "growing" sentiment from Dragonfly Garden.  I even slipped in the gazebo on the envelope!  My own garden is nothing on this lovely woodland scene, but I love it just as much - time in the garden is no time at all!
My Meadow (retired 2021) & Dragonfly Garden Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray & Bermuda Bay Inks; Old Olive Enamel Dots; #TSOCGarden.

Check out this cute landscape sketch we have for you this week at Fab Friday #213!
We had so much fun at my last Pumpkin Club, I just haven't been able to put this cute set down, yet!  I love that it coordinates with our delicious Ice Cream Corner DSP, too - this color spread is just so bright and lively!  Today, I tried out stamping my popsicles ON the fun DSP - instant color wash!  I'd eat these juicy pops any time, lol.
I can't wait to see what YOU have for us this week - meet you at the challenge!
So Cool Paper Pumpkin; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Basic White & Bermuda Bay CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Bermuda Bay Inks; Cinnamon Cider Blend Marker; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #FabFri213.

Wow, there are some amazing possibilities at this week's Addicted to CAS #196 - "sky!"
For this one, I wanted to play a little bit with our new Basic Borders dies, which have a wonderful cloud line in them.  I decided to try my hand at masking and sponging a little, and built this column of clouds with my Blending Brush.  Not too shabby for my first time out, lol.  To go with this, I decided a nice umbrella would be just the thing, and I still have my sweet Weather Together bundle from 2018 - still a fave with those awesome dies!  I finished with a few bright raindrops from our new Silver & Clear Epoxy Essential.  Hm, am I still CAS enough?
Weather Together Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pool Party Inks; Calypso Coral & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Umbrella Weather (retired) & Basic Border Dies; Blending Brush; Silver Epoxy Essentials; #ATC196.

Now this is totally a challenge I needed to get in on - Time Out Challenges #186 is all about pets!  I think I can also squeeze in Retro Rubber #157's sketch, too - yay!  Somehow I've been missing the schedule for them lately!
One of my favorite things to do is match up something pretty retired with something fairly recent - it always thrills me that the coordination lasts the test of time!  In this case, it meant marrying 2007's Here Kitty Kitty with last year's Playful Pets DSP - somehow I really haven't used the CAT sheets from that pack...  This was my chance!  And of course, using a DSP always sets my color palette for me, and I love bold color with Black!  Mu images worked better with the sketch turned sideways - tricky!
Here Kitty Kitty (retired 2007); Basic White, Real Red, Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo & Basic Gray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies; 1" & 1 1/4" Circle Punches; Red Resin Dots; #TOC186; RRCB157.

We have a super cute sketch for you this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #505 - and you could add pastels if you wanted, too!
Today will mark my final farewell tribute (not that I ever really stop using retired stamps, lol) and I couldn't resist showing off Butterfly Gala one last time.  I even went back in time and trotted out some of the Gingham Gala DSP that released when this set first came out in that year's Sale-A-Bration, so I could cover "pastels" with a bang!  Ah, my beloved Lemon Lime Twist, you were gone too soon from us, sigh.  Anyway, these cute little guys have turned in to my all-time fave butterflies - these will definitely be sticking to my stash!
I can't wait to see YOUR projects for this one - meet you at the challenge!
Butterfly Gala Stamp Set; Gingham Gala DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Daffodil Delight Inks; Stitched Shapes Dies; Butterfly Duo & Banner Triple Punches; Yellow Resin Dots; #TSOT505.

We have a cute focal sketch this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #362!
I decided I couldn't let Dandelion Wishes get away without a farewell tour - this is another cutie retiring at the end of this catty (tomorrow!)  I jazzed it up a bit by trying it out in one of our new In Colors - this is Soft Succulent, my new fave!  I stayed pretty strict to the sketch, but I added a tiny DSP layer behind the sentiment for a bit of extra contrast.  This is such a gorgeous new green!

I'm so excited to host our sketch this week at Sunday Stamps #256!  I hope you'll play along!
So, even though this is MY sketch, this layout really threw me for a loop!  What was I thinking?  Believe it or not, this actually started out as a guy card, but then, the doily, sigh.  I don't really do doilies, lol, and this one was a pretty silver, which side-tracked me into Christmas.  It was even worse when I flipped it over and inked the white side in blue!  Let me tell you, this card has taken some turns!  For a while, the card said "Best guy ever," but I finally caved and found this sentiment to go in a holiday direction.  What an adventure!
I hope you can conquer this sketch more easily than I did - I can't wait to see your projects over at the challenge!
Mountain Adventure Stamp Set (retired 2016); Well Suited DSP; Basic White, Night of Navy & Basic Gray CS; Night of Navy Ink; Foil Snowflakes; Basic Gray Baker's Twine; Adhesive Backed Snowflakes; #SSC256.
