![]() I love this bubbly layout at Sketch Saturday #774! I decided to look for some likely circular shapes to get started on this one - and I was drawn to Seaside Wishes right away! Nothing like these gorgeous sand dollars, and when you run them through with the hybrid embossing folder and dies? They leap off the page! I dug deep for some pretty DSP to set the colors for me - and came up with a pack of By The Shore - I STILL love this stuff, and it's so old!! I was a little shocked when I went and looked it up - 2016! Perfect for today's card, though! I stuck pretty closely to the sketch, and I'm so happy with the result, too! Seaside Wishes Stamp Set & Hybrid Die Set; By The Shore DSP (SO retired!); Very Vanilla CS; Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks; Opal Rounds; #SS774.

![]() This should be fun - CAS on Friday #307 would like us to use a stencil! Bring on the blending brushes! I went first and nabbed my all-time favorite stencil - this sort of stained glass looking one from our retired Plenty of Patterns pack - it's always so fun! I set up a corner blend in blues first, and went ahead and did my envelope flap while I had it all out. Then I chose Faith Collection for my stamp set. Doesn't the cross look cool over the blues? I added the sentiment below, too, and then finished with a few blue Glossy Dots. I think it came out so pretty! Faith Collection Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party & Azure Afternoon Inks; Plenty of Patterns Masks (retired); Blue Glossy Dots; #CASOF307. ![]() Such a pretty combo at this round of In{k}spire Me #560! I played around with the proposed colors for a bit before regretfully deciding not to use them. I'm a little pastel-ed out, lol. I love the sketch, though! After so much time on the colors, I quickly jumped to this fast and elegant design! I have been stewing over how to use this big bunch of balloons from the die-cut sheets in the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack, and I think today is the day! I set up this pretty gold-foiled background sheet, and cut a Deckled Circle to fit the balloons in White. I thought at first the balloons would be TOO big, then I realized tilting them for an action shot would be just right! I simple Birthday sentiment from Simply Said makes the perfect banner below. So quick and easy! Simply Said Stamp Set; Wildflower Birthday DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Blueberry Bushel Ink; Deckled Circle Dies; Blueberry Bushel Foiled Gems; #IMC560. ![]() I think we're seeing double this round at Sunday Stamps #359! Do you like my sketch?? After a quick browse, I figured that our lovely Detailed Succulents stamp set had images just the right size! So fun! I like to stamp these with all THREE layers, lol. I started with a full-strength Soft Sea Foam base layer, then did a stamped off one next to it for the second succulent. Then a full-strength Sea Foam layer on the second, and a fresh Freesia layer for the first. I finished the first one with Highland Heather, and Fresh Freesia for the second. I'm really liking how the Highland Heather combined with The Fresh Freesia! This gave me a lot of scope for building my background layers, too - I so love purple and green together! I can't wait to see YOUR takes on my fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Detailed Succulent Stamp Set; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Soft Sea Foam CS; Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Plaster Painting EF; Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots; #SSC359. ![]() Hm, what a nifty sketch they have this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #461! I knew right away that for this one I would want to coordinate some fun DSP with all the other different layers - whew! A lot to unpack! I finally settled on our Season of Green & Gold for the DSP, and it took me a bit to work out the rest of the layers, too, lol. Then I had to go hunting for a festive sentiment that would fit in the space assigned - I had to dig deep! I finally spotted this little guy in 2020's Warm Hugs stamp set - such a fun one to go with little espresso cups! Anyway, I got work putting it all together, and I'm really pleased with the final outcome! I even slipped in some texture! Warm Hugs Stamp Set (retired 2020); Season of Green & Gold DSP; Basic White, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow & Soft Sea Foam CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Golden Greenery Dies; Distressed Tile EF; Gold Festive Pearls; #HSS461. ![]() So pretty - AAA Cards #288 has a fabulous sketch for us this round! This seemed like another great chance to break in one more upcoming stamp bundle - this one is called Sunrise Sailing! The bundle includes a lovely nautical stamp set, along with a hybrid embossing folder and dies, which I didn't break in to today, lol. The set has several fabulous sentiments, too, and I went with this "great things" one - I do so love a good encouraging card! I used a blending brush to create my background circle, and set my sailboat over it, along with some detail stamping on the sails and cabin. I couldn't resist a few sea birds, too! The sentiment was next, and then a few Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems. I think it's still pretty CAS! Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set; Misty Moonlight DSP; Basic White CS; Misty Moonlight & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #AAA288. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! Check out this party picture! I found this one to be a real stumper! I don't have many (or any?) fancy dress stamps, OR masks, which actually surprised me! So I went with the colors, and pulled in our delightful Turtle-y Awesome Suite again. This shell sheet in Shaded Spruce is such a great match for the greens, I couldn't resist! I made up a scrappy background for this handsome drummer, and tucked on the birthday sentiment to go with. I finished with a few Loose Daisy Embellishments to go with the flowers in the inspiration pic - maybe I should have done more! I hope you have a chance to join in on this fun inspiration at Time Out Challenges this round - see you there! Turtle-y Awesome Stamp Set; Turtle-y Delightful DSP; Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Soft Sea Foam CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Wonderful Thoughts Dies; Bordered Ribbon; Loose Daisy Embellishments; #TOC287. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! I have lots of new goodies to break in! Today's sneak peek winner is the Party Piggy bundle! This little cutie will be available soon from our upcoming Online Exclusives - and he's a major ham! The sweet set also has a little set of dies to go with it, AND, he has little shaker cups for his tum-tum, too! a shaker pig! The world is a great place indeed! I went for a simple and quick version today to give him a go: starting with stamping him directly on Petal Pink, and adding some tone detail with Blends Markers. I added the party hat and flags, too, and stuck with the birthday sentiment. I was so pleased to realize that I had this dotty Petal Pink sheet in my retired Sale-a-Bration Fruit Salad DSP! I finished with a few Petal Pink Foiled Gems, too! Party Piggy Stamp Set & Dies; Fruit Salad DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Petal Pink, Crumb Cake & Pool Party Blends Markers; Peta; Pink Foiled Gems; #NBUS73. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! Time for another tic-tac-toe at Retro Rubber #253! I love when we suggest a sentiment - that really gives me a starting place to search through my shelves of retirement, lol. So that meant I went with our left-hand column of Green - Ribbon - Thank You! No flowers or embossing for me today, lol! I started by choosing my stamp set, and hit on 2023's Conversation Bubbles - I still SO love the dies for this fun set! The thank you in here is the cutest, and I can do all kinds of additional bubbles with the dies! Once that was settled, off to find some "green" - how about this wild sheet from the Full of Life DSP pack? I love the look of watercolor washes, so this splashy sheet was just what I wanted! I heat-embossed my "thank you" in White onto Granny Apple Green, then filled in some extras with a bunch of other likely greens. This scrap of old Lemon Lime Twist ribbon seemed just the thing! I can't wait to see YOUR take on our little noughts game this round - don't forget to make it Retro! Conversation Bubbles Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2023); Full of Life DSP; Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Shy Shamrock, Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive & Granny Apple Green CS; Versmark Ink; White EP; Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon (retired); Lemon Lime Twist Transparent Dots; #RRCB253. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! I couldn't resist checking out my retired shelves for this one - and I can't remember HOW long it's been since I stamped with Dragonfly Dreams! These guys are so pretty, and I still love that I can stamp their wing colors separately, too. I chose this pretty sheet from the Thoughtful Journey DSP pack, so I made the dragonfly wings with stamped-off Berry Burst to go with - yum! I combined with our Spring Corners set for my sentiment, too - so cool to wrap the corners with the sentiment! I can't wait to see YOUR wings this round - meet you at the challenge!
