So glad to be here in week 3 of MPC #0416 - Pocket Full of Surprices!
Today's card, for me, is pretty much all about the card I'm using to showcase my "pocket," lol.  Yup, that IS my key card from my recent cruise, displaying my "unlimited beverage package" and "upgraded dining packages" notations - what does that tell you??  I thought it was pretty cool that my card's sand dollar looks like Bermuda Bay blue to me - don't you think??  Ahh, it was a "happy, happy" trip...

I ended up shopping my stampin' studio for the right colors, and staying pretty true to the formula here, lol.  Frankly, I'm surprised how much I like the finished card - the sketch was so angular, I wasn't sure I could pull it off, and my first impulse was to change shapes.  So glad I gave it a try first!

Love this banner sketch from Sunday Stamps #124!
This is such a clean layout, I decided to also try to go simple and sweet.  Circle of Spring, which I definitely don't use as much as I thought I would, seems to fit the bill just right!  I took my color scheme almost completely from the Birthday Bouquet DSP (gotta love the tiny dots!)

I'm so excited the stars align for me to be able to play at TGIF #50 this week!  I'm combining it with these gorgeous colors from In{k}spire Me #244, too!
I decided to focus more on the color, though I think I did a pretty good stamped version of the sketch.  I have NOT been playing with Work of Art enough - especially since it was one I got for free at an SU! event!  Shame shame!  I decided to also play with some colored accents with my old Blendies - shh...  I miss these guys...

OK, since I have some time, I'm going to try and make up for some lost time with a triple threat card again!  I'm using the sketch from Match The Sketch #119, colors from Pals Paper Arts #295, and the sympathy theme at  Just Add Ink #306 today!
I felt like my main challenge today was toning down our bright Cucumber Crush into warmer sympathy tones.  Thankfully, that's just the job for Crumb Cake!  I have this card in mind for a dear friend who has already received a sympathy card from me, but is still finding her way through...
