Aw, what a cute idea - Seize the Birthday #322 wants us to use green as our main color! I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to do my Turtle-y Awesome suite for this one - what's greener than turtles?? I set up a fun background with a couple patterns from the Turtle-y Cute DSP, and fussy cut this birthday chef turtle - he's so sweet! I decided to do a larger die-cut birthday with the fabulous Wanted to Say Dies, and saved my "turtle-y sweet" sentiment for the inside! I few Granny Apple Green Glitter Sequins are just right to finish! Happy green birthday! Turtle-y Awesome Stamp Set & Dies; Turtle-y Cute DSP; Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Garden Green CS; Granny Apple Green Ink; Wanted to Say Dies (retired); Granny Apple Green Glitter Sequins; #STB322.

Oo, this could be a tough one - Shopping Our Stash #569 is called "counting on you," and they want to see at least one number! After sleeping on it, lol, I remembered that I still have 2023's Tech Support set, and that there are some cute binary code sentiments in there - YES! I don't think I ever used this birthday sentiment, and I dressed it up a little with the cupcake from 2024's Circle Sayings - looks pretty cool! I floated this sheet from the Rock & Roll DSP over some Poppy Parade, and layered up the leftover scrap back side for some more interest. My sentiment with some stamped off cupcakes went on my favorite Tailor Made Tag dies, lol. This card was SO off the cuff for me - good times! Tech Support (retired 2023) & Circle Sayings (retired 2024) Stamp Sets; Rock & Roll DSP (retired); Basic White & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Poppy Parade Inks; Tailor Made Tags Dies (retired); Solid Black Baker's Twine; Iridescent Discs (retired); #SOS569. Well, these color inspiration cupcakes at Cupcake Inspirations #635 look delicious! I'll try to do them justice! I took a little browse through the shelves of retirement for this one, and spotted the lovely Sheltering Tree from 2019 - perfect! I really wanted to keep things pretty simple - a sweet Spring scene, minimal layers - I caved on a few butterflies, though, lol. I started with my tree trunk in Early Espresso, then stamped off the leaves in Granny Apple Green, and also the swoosh stripe below. My sentiment fit perfectly to one side of the tree! I finally hit on a way to pull in my Melon Mambo by doing some scattered stems and flowers down the "hill" - and finished with three tiny butterflies. Just so sweet - this is making me smile! Sheltering Tree Stamp Set (retired 2019); Basic White CS; Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green & Melon Mambo Inks; Brushed Brass Butterflies (retired); #CIC635. Oo, a fabulous inspo list for Easter at Festive Friday #205! Such a cute list - I went straight to my Basket Bunch bundle from 2017 - so many of these elements are in there! I started with pastel colors, pulling a sweet sheet from my old Lighter Than Air DSP, and layering it over Bubble Bath. Then I assembled my ideal basket, with a yummy chocolate bunny front and center! I added two pretty eggs to either side and tucked some grass behind as well. I tied on a little snip of the this Fresh Freesia ribbon on the handle - I'm really stretching out the last foot or so I have of this one! A few Bubble Bath sequins are the sweetest finish! So, I think I hit pastel colors, ribbon, rabbit, Easter eggs, Easter Greeting and basket! Woo! Basket Bunch (retired 2017) & Reason to Celebrate Stamp Sets; Lighter Than Air DSP (retired); Basic White, Bubble Bath, Crumb Cake & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Fresh Freesia Inks; Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Basket Builders Dies; Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (retired); Bubble Bath Sequins; #FF0205. Such a fun combo at In{k}spire Me #585 this round - the colors are like ice cream! With that thought in mind, I pulled my Ice Cream Swirl bundle from last year - perfect! I set up a fun background according to the sketch first, with some So Swirly embossed Crumb Cake, and a wedge of this pretty Flirty Flamingo sheet from the Made With Love DSP pack. Next up, constructing my ice cream cone! I stamped my cone in Early Espresso over Crumb Cake, the a big dollop of Vanilla with cherry Sprinkles, and a stemmed cherry to bring it home! I finished with this tasty sentiment, and a few Vanilla Swirl Dots. I might need a Coldstone run now, sigh... Ice Cream Swirl Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2025); Made With Love DSP; Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Flirty Flamingo CS; Early Espresso & Flirty Flamingo Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; So Swirly EF; Vanilla Swirl Dots (retired); #IMC585. Time for Inspire Create Challenge #211 - "all about the man!" This seemed like a great chance to ink up my still-beloved Trusty Tools bundle! It's been a while! I even still have a good amount of the Trusty Toolbox DSP, so I grabbed that, too! I found this nice Gray Granite washed background sheet, and stamped a stack of tools up the right side directly on the DSP - I slipped in my Dad Day sentiment while I was at it, lol. Then I spotted some of the colored tools sheets in the DSP pack, and I though, hm, I could go for a little fussy cutting, lol, so I snipped out three items and popped those over the stamping! So cute! I also had some Silver Foil hardware bits already cut out in the die sleeve, so those turned into my embellies! Very manly, I think! Trusty Tools Stamp Set & Dies; Trusty Toolbox DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & Silver Foil CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; #ICC211. Oh, adorable - Farm Quest #81 is all about baby animals, farm or otherwise! I have just the thing! It's been a bit since I've had my all-time favorite chickens in the whole universe out - 2006's Best of Cluck! And let me express a tiny shock that in all this time, I've never actually used the NAME OF THE STAMP SET as a blog post title! I usually burn that in the first one or two times I ink up a set, lol. Crazy! Anyhoo, this little pile of chicks is perfect for a farm card, lol, and I love that they have this perfect thank you sentiment curving over them! Just right for an oval, but I still had to fussy cut my little troop - like they even need more cuteness! I found my old pack of Gingham Gala DSP, and I had all but one of the Highland Heather sheets still, so I used that one, but it looks cute with Crumb Cake, especially a strip chicken scratch and pecks, lol. So much fun! Best of Cluck Stamp Set (retired 2006); Gingham Gala DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Crumb Cake Inks; Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight & Darling Duckling Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies (retired); Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon (retired); Darling Duckling Flat Pearls; #FQCB81. Such a fun sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #690! Very fun layers! I decided if I squinted just right, I could finally break in my new Capturing Smiles bundle, lol. Finally, a stampin' camera with all the bells, whistles and dies to play with! I really wanted to take it out for a spin, so I played with as many of the little detailed dies as I could - there is so much there! Maybe too much, really, but it gives you the option to create a hyper-realistic camera if you want, for sure! I started with the base camera, and colored it in in Smoky Slate, both shades, and Lemon Lime Twist. I added the shutter details, then worked on the film strip and exposure plate - such fun accessories! I found an old sheet of Basic Gray DSP for my background that set it all off beautifully - and since the camera die includes a little wrist loop hook, I tied on some white twine there, lol. So many fun toys! Capturing Smiles Stamp Set & Dies; Basic Gray DSP (retired); Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist & Basic Gray CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Smoky Slate, Lemon Lime Twist, Azure Afternoon, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; White Baker's Twine; Lemon Lime Twist Transparent Dots; #TSOT690. Check out our fresh focal sketch this round at As You See It #368! So, instead of a big flower, how about a big jar of jam?? Yum! This might be my favorite one yet, lol, look at all those berries! I'm slowly working my way through all the little details we can choose from for this suite, and the DSP is so playful - three sizes of jars? Yes, please! I stamped my large jar onto some yummy berry-colored DSP - it added more depth than stamping on CS, I think. The lid wrap is a cute country print that honors the pink, and I filled in with some flourish marks around my sentiment on my favorite tag in this die set! Good times, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR focal projects this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Filled With Sweetness Stamp Set & Dies; Homemade Sweetness DSP; Basic White CS; Strawberry Slush Ink; White Transparent Dots; #AYSI368. I have so wanted to finally ink up this oversize sentiment from our Exploring Nature stamp set - I couldn't wait any longer! The challenge has been finding a way to diecut it, without making it too big for a card front, lol. I finally came up with this! After stamping, I laid a Deckled Circle die over it, and parked where the cut would hit on the little "f" hanging down. I then fussy cut around that part, then threaded the die underneath, so that the die was only cutting the rest of the sentiment out - and it totally worked! I'm going to try this again on other oversize shapes, too! Anyway, I tucked under some smaller circles from the Nature Walk DSP, threw on some Foiled Pretty Peacock Gems, and called it done! Fun! Exploring Nature Stamp Set; Nature Walk DSP; Basic Whit CS; Pretty Peacock Ink; Deckled Circles Dies (retired); Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (retired); #SUOC396.
