Oops, I meant to add them earlier, but I was so stoked to find this new-to-me monthly alphabet challenge - Christmas Crafts All Year Round! This round is E and F! So, toady, "F" is for "Falala!" Lol, I had totally forgotten about this set, so glad I spotted it on the shelves of retirement! 2023's Framed & Festive was all Christmas sentiments, so I also pulled my beloved Merry & Bright set from 2024 to go with it - there's just something so happy about this light set! I picked three colors for my light bulbs, and decided to feature Blueberry Bushel for the background layer and sentiment, and finished with a few blue Solid Faceted Gems, too. Such a cutie! Framed & Festive (retired 2023) & Merry & Bright (retired 2024) Stamp Sets; Blueberry Bushel DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Shaded Spruce, Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green & Poppy Parade Inks; Wide Oval Punch (retired); Solid Faceted Gems (retired); #CCAYR3126.

Yay! Finally get to gettin' in my NBUS #84 this month! I have been itching (and a little intimidated, lol) to break out my new Rolling Waves bundle - it's just so gorgeous! I know I have like every ocean set we've ever had, but every single one has offered something a little unique, and this one is no exception! One of our favorite things to do in Maui is sunset watch - especially since the time difference makes it so we will likely never sunRISE watch, lol. It's a vacation, after all! These layered dies perfectly capture that smooth foamy experience of waves lapping down the sand, and the dreamy feel of all the little secret critters and shells buried there. So I set out to make a little piece of wave-washed beach, and I am SMITTEN with the result! I couldn't resist pulling in my old Waves of the Ocean DSP for a really deep water base, which I then layered in Cloud Cover and white for the foamy edge. I sponged up some shells, and scattered some pretty beach glass for the finishing touch - as good as a photo! Rolling Waves Stamp Set & Dies; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige & Cloud Cover CS; Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks; Stylish Shapes Does; Faux Sea Glass Shapes (retired); #NBUS84. I am SO thrilled to guest design at AAA Cards #311 - an alphabet challenge, woo! Our magic letter this round is "E!" There were so many awesome suggestions for our alphabet letter, and really, I had "elephant" on the brain for the longest time - but thought I'd take a browse through the shelves first, lol. I'm so glad I did, because I spotted this "easel" from last year's Crafting With You set - and I've never used it! Sold! I knew I needed to keep this CAS, so the size of this stamp was a little stressful for me, plus I wanted to get in a little color without going overboard! I solved this by adding a single Strawberry Slush heart, and a little strip of DSP behind the easel in the same color - I think it works! As usual, I had to finish with 3 Flat Pearls in Strawberry, too - I just can't stop! I hope you'll come play along this round, and wow us with your "E's!" Meet you at the challenge! Crafting With You Stamp Set & Dies; Strawberry Slush DSP; Basic White CS; Secret Sea & Strawberry Slush Inks; Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls; #AAA311. This will be GREAT! The Male Room #208 is having a blue and brown color challenge this round! So perfect! I spotted this row of handsome pups right away in Cutest Crew, and knew they would be perfect for the colors! Just too cute! I also wanted to use the blue peeling paint sheet from our Country Woods DSP for some of my blue, so I pulled that too. I've been trying to use up little scraps more lately, and I had a handful that were all the same size so I played around and came up with this torn-edge background over Pool Party - I wanted to see how many I could use! I added a strip of Espresso across it to make the puppies pop, and had some fun coloring them in with my Blends. Such a cute birthday card! Cutest Crew Stamp Set & Dies; Country Woods DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Early Espresso Inks; Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, SU300, SU500, Misty Moonlight & Pool Party Blends Markers; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Early Espresso Linen Thread; Earthy Matte Dots; #TMR208. Yum! Check out our fresh Easter colors at As You See It #369! I couldn't help pulling out my old Take Care stamp set from 2013 - so sweet STILL! There's also a branch that you can float the nest on - I actually cut the branch in half {GASP} so I could stretch it out longer across a card front - it felt so daring! Anyway, I stuck to the nests today, which I stamped in my neutral Crumb Cake. Then I went back and colored in the tiny leaves in Soft Sea Foam, and then fussy cut eggs in each of our challenge colors - beautiful! I finished with the "Blessings" sentiment, I'm thinking Easter, and few Shades of Green Hexagons. I'm going to call the lightest ones Soft Sea Foam! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Take Care Stamp Set (retired 2013); Basic White & Soft Sea Foam CS; Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam & Pretty in Pink Inks; Soft Sea Foam Blend Markers; Shades of Green Hexagons; #AYSI369. Yum! If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #214 is all about green clovers! I almost completely forgot that our adorable Sweet Jar bundle totally has shamrocks in it - and how cute is that combo sentiment?? This cutie JUST retired, but I couldn't resist, lol. I set it up over a swirly sheet of our Painted Illusions DSP - one of our Product of the Month items! I tried to be strategic and get as much green on there as I could! Those swirls made me think of movement so much - so I propped open my little sweet jar so that luck could just blow all over the place! I finished with a few Granny Apple Green Glitter Sequins! Sweet Jar Stamp Set & Builder Punch (retired 2026); Painted Illusions DSP; Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Granny Apple Green Inks; Granny Apple Green Glitter Sequins; #Cookie214. Here I am with First Cup Challenge #12 - March edition! I feel like I'm on a super green streak this week, lol. For today's serving of greens, I'm going with a drinkable one! I knew I wanted to do some green beers, and finally break in my Reason to Celebrate set at the same time! A quick dig yielded me up this speckled Old Olive sheet from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP, and then I pulled my Brewed For You bundle that retired in 2024 to crank out those beers! I did one of each of the glasses, and filled them with some stamped off Old Olive in a nod to the saint! This fancy Tasteful Label in Soft Sea Foam was big enough to pair up my sentiments - "I owe you one or several" is from the Brewed set - perfect together! Fun stuff - and now I'm thirsty! Brewed For You (retired) & Reason to Celebrate Stamp Sets; Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP; Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Soft Sea Foam CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Old Olive Inks; Brewed & Tasteful Labels Dies (both retired); Old Olive Linen Thread; Old Olive Speckled Dots; #FCC12. Such a fun layout we have for you this round at Retro Rubber #268! It's always such fun to browse the shelves of retirement looking for SHAPES instead of themes, lol. You just never know what might catch my eye! And once this shirtless tough guy had my attention, I couldn't let it go, lol. I stamped and added a bit of color before I even went back to consider a sentiment, giggling the whole time! Giggles turned to outright cackles once I spotted this sage advice - who could resist? The accompanying thanks for the life lesson and a happy birthday are on the inside - just to draw out the suspense, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun columnar sketch - and don't forget to make it Retro! Guy Greetings Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White, Basic Black & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight and Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Neutral Matte Dots; #RRCB268. Lol, this is kind of a funny challenge for card makers, but we want to see you celebrate hobbies this round at Make My Monday #274! Lucky for me, I snagged a pack of our Hobby Haven DSP a while back, and it is chock full of hobbies galore! I don't even remember what stamp set was supposed to go with it - I just wanted the paper! For today's card, I highlighted the sheet of sewing activities - so fun! Back before my paper crafting days, I was all about sewing and fiber arts! Costuming, needlepoint, the odd temari - it was all fun, and I could probably pick it right up again any time, lol. Those were the days! I can't wait to see what hobbies YOU celebrate - so much to choose from! Meet you at the challenge! Crafting Forever Stamp Set (retired 2020); Hobby Haven DSP; Basic White & Basic Beige CS; Secret Sea Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Dappled Dots (retired); #MMM274. So nice - I really love our "cameo" sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #382! One bundle I haven't been using as much as I thought I would is our darling Sweet Bugs set - such cute DSP, too! So I went with that, laying out a picnic blanket, and cutting a little oval backdrop from one of the tableaus printed on a specialty DSP sheet - so cute! I decided to go for this handsome green beetle waving to the ant parade "spreading joy," which all parades do, lol. Just so cute. I finished with a few Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots to go with my sentiment! I can't wait to see YOUR cameo cards - meet you at the challenge! Sweet Bugs Stamp Set & Dies; Cute As a Bug DSP; Basic White CS; Blackberry Bliss & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Layering Ovals Dies (retired); Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots (retired); #SSC382. |
