![]() Another cool combo over at In{k}spire Me #558 - and love that sketch! That said, I think I'll go with just the sketch today! I really wanted to play with my Timeless Plaid DSP pack, and I pulled colors from the sheet I ended up choosing - aren't these blues and greens together pretty? With the colors set, I chose my gorgeous Wild Ferns stamp set to create my horizontals - so fun to use the fronds that way! I also embossed my background with my Ferns EF to carry the theme along, lol. So matchy-matchy! Some Boho Blue Solid Gems finish things off! Wild Ferns Stamp Set; Timeless Plaid DSP; Basic White & Boho Blue CS; Mossy Meadow & Boho Blue Inks; Blender Pen; Wild Ferns Dies; Ferns EF; Boho Blue Solid Gems; #IMC558.

![]() We're headed to the vineyard with our colors this round at Sunday Stamps #357! Yum! So, purples and green are my FAVORITE color combo, lol. What else could I do with these besides grapes? How about some cacti?? I quickly realized I wanted to pull out my old Flowering Desert set from 2019 - I love building my own crazy cactus with this cutie - we see some WILD ones here in Arizona! I started by laying on a purple combo of Blackberry Bliss with Highland Heather for the back cactus, then I did an Old Olive one on some scrap to fussy cut - I even added some Crushed Curry flowers! I added a cheery sentiment, and finished with a few Faux Glass Dots - clean and simple, baby! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our juicy colors - meet you at the challenge! Flowering Desert Stamp Set (retired 2019); Basic White CS; Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather, Old Olive & Crushed Curry Inks; Faux Glass Dots; #SSC357 ![]() Such a pretty mood board at this round of Hand Stamped Sentiments #459! Once I spotted it, I could not let go of that gorgeous picture of all the pretty lavender stems against a cool sky! Reminds me so much of the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm on Maui - we love going there! And lucky for me, I still have my gorgeous Painted Lavender stamp set, and even plenty of the Perennial Lavender DSP! A quick browse through the DSP to get me started led me to this perfectly simple checked sheet in Crumb Cake - I'll just have to stamp my stem for this one! I cut a Radiating Stitched Rectangle with some dies to stamp and got to work! A simple single stem, strategically stamped-off and detailed up, with a little stem work was all I needed, and I finished with this sentiment from Comforting Thoughts. Just right! Painted Lavender & Comforting Thoughts Stamp Sets; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss & Shaded Spruce Inks; Radiating Stitches Dies; Linen Thread; Brushed Brass Butterflies; #HSS459. ![]() What a sweet sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #666 - very Spring! However, you know me, I'm totally an "any shape" kind of gal, lol, so lets mix this up a little! I decided I really wanted to let the seagulls out for a bit again - they were by far my favorite SAB item this year! And look how cool they look over this pebbled sheet from Otterly Adorable - looks like Coney Island to me! To give them a little more presence, I decided to stamp them on circles rather than fussy cut, and I tried to place them in an arc, with a couple french fry cartons, too, lol. I think they came out pretty spiffy! Friendly Seagulls (retired); Otterly Adorable DSP; Basic White & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Calypso Coral & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; 1 3/4", 1 1/2" & 7/8" Circle Punches; Iridescent Pastel Gems in Calypso Coral; #TSOT666. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 29! After yesterday's garden fun, I realized I could do it again - with the diecuts from our Wildflower Birthday DSP! Now, I don't want to get in the habit of this (bring on the stamps!) but how cute are all these little party images?? As soon as I saw the little balloon and the cupcake, I knew I was going for it! I really wanted to use the cake slice, too, but it was a little too big. I chose this pretty floral background sheet with the gold accents, and then made my pop-up square for showing off the sentiment - I had to trim down 3 times til I was happy, lol. A few Party Dots finishes things off perfectly! I think I'll go for the right column: Ribbon/Twine - Basket - Free (diecuts!) I went digging through my diecut sheets in the Storybook Friends suite and found just the thing! Isn't this little chipmunk with her gardening basket the cutest? I found enough of my favorite sheet of DSP from the pack to set up the background, then fussy cut this frame from the sheet of extra backgrounds. I added lots of gardening bits to go with my girl here, and tied on this soft Scalloped Ribbon for my last square. So fun to go through all the sweet Spring pieces! Storybook Friends Stamp Set; Storybook Moments DSP; Basic White & Old Olive CS; Early Espresso Ink; Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon; ! 3/8" Circle Punch; #TTT266. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 29! Somehow it feels like it's been forever since we did an "anything goes" round at Retro Rubber 251! I think I really need some chicken therapy today - time to call in 2006's Best of Cluck! These little crazies are just so fun to color, still! And who cares that there aren't dies?? I even like to fussy cut, lol. I started with my hen trio, making them as bright and cherry as I could, then adding different feather details with a White gel pen. When I pulled my chicken wire background stamp (1999!!) there was already this piece stamped up - pretty sure it's the now-retired Crushed Curry, but I'm cool with that! I added chicken feed to my Crumb Cake layer, and some chicken tracks across the bottom of my envelope - I had such a good time with these guys! I went browsing my shelves for a little set to use - since we're a little past St. Patty's Day, I wanted something else! As soon as I spotted Delicate Forest, I thought about all the greenery I could focus on with this one, and greenery is...GREEN! I did the Forest Frame first in Granny Apple Green, then added some Lemon Lime Twist & Garden Green details behind. Garden Green for my sentiment and embellies, and I am all set! Time Out Challenge #284 is inspired by the Red Carpet fashion photos! How fun! When I think "red carpet," I can't help but think of fashion and glamour - so many fashion photos stand out (and some not in a good way, lol!) When I look at my STAMPS and think glamour, one of my favorite sets is Dressed to Impress from 2022 - and such fabulous sentiments, too! I went straight for the shoes, because I LOVE the shoe sentiment so much, lol... I stamped up 8 shoes (for 4 pairs, lol) and got started coloring. Rich bold colors, too, Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss & Melon Mambo! I used my color lifter to pick up a little bit from the insoles - because that's how shoes really look! I had a bit of Cherry Cobbler DSP scrap I knew I could use, so I floated it all over that color for my border, and finished with a few tiny Festive Pearls in Cherry Cobbler as well. I'm so pleased with how this came out! Let's go, glamour-puss! Dressed to Impress Stamp Set (retired 2022); Cherry Cobbler DSP; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss & Melon Mambo Blends; Color Lifter; All Dressed Up Dies; Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls; #TOC284. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 29! Shopping Our Stash #543 wants us to "think ink" - that is, use an ink-heavy technique - with abandon, lol! After a little though, I decided my heaviest ink applications come from stamping WITH a block, and I love the geometric feel to the finished stamping, too! So I pulled three retired colors from my stash, and went to town! I wanted bold color, with enough opacity that I could finish with a simple Black sentiment, so I went with Stary Sky, Tahitian Tide & Parakeet Party, and my three smallest blocks - so fun to just throw on random patterns! I really like how the inking came out, and for my sentiment, I went with our old Stepping Stones stamp set - I never did use it enough, lol. This Goethe quote cuts right to the heart of it, doesn't it?
