We have some easy breezy colors for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #410! Usually any time I see a green in our color mix, I start going through flower combos to pull out, but today I decided to go a little more abstract! I LOVE the Conversation Bubbles bundle, and I definitely need to pull it out more! I got it to show more dialogue on all my critter sets, but today I used it for the main event, too - I put together a fun little collage of a few of the bubbles in the dies, and it makes me smile big time! I'm really liking these colors together! I can't wait to see what YOU make of these cuties - meet you at the challenge! Conversation Bubbles Stamp Set; Dandy Designs, Pear Pizzazz, Balmy Blue & Fresh Freesia DSP; Basic White CS; Pear Pizzazz, Balmy Blue & Fresh Freesia Inks; Conversation Bubbles Dies; Fresh Freesia Opal Rounds; #HSS410. I can't resist getting in on this month's Once Upon a Time #8 challenge - Harold and the Purple Crayon! I could have sworn I had a set of crayons I could stamp, but I just don't see them anywhere! Grr! I do still have my Mischievous Mice set from last year, and this little guy with the pencil will fill in just fine, lol. See how he scribbled all over the card? When I was done, it felt a little naked, so I went a dug out a few old Rich Razzleberry buttons to go with - this color USED to be in our Brights collection! Mischievous Mice Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White & Rich Razzleberry CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Rich Razzleberry Inks; Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Rich Razzleberry Buttons (retired); #OUT8. I sure hope you like our fun party colors this round at Sunday Stamps #305! Today I started my Spring drive to make sure I hunt down sets that I haven't used enough, to give them some love. Welcoming Window is one I have been fascinated with, yet somehow never seem to pull out for stamping! Since I feel like I spy a little gray in our popping colors, I settled on this one so I could sneak in some bricks to take care of the gray, then spread the rest of my bright colors over all my pieces! I wish I had a little cabin with Orchid Oasis trim - so cute! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our pretty colors - meet you there! Welcoming Window Stamp Set; Basic White & Gray Granite CS; Gray Granite, Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet & Tahitian Tide Inks; Basic Black Blend Marker; Window Flower Box & Stylish Shapes Dies; Parakeet Party Matte Dots; #SSC305. Such a great challenge for us at AAA Birthday #47 this month - dots and/or stripes! I really wanted to find a stamped image for today's challenge - I'm not so good with the stripes element, and I feel like I've been doing many dots recently, lol. I switched over to the Shelves of Retirement for inspiration browsing, and eventually came across last year's Kite Delight. How about that! There's a kite with stripes AND dots! I was sold, and I knew right away I wanted to do a cloudy background with this sheet from the Enjoy the Journey pack - perfect! I totally pinky-swear that my birthday sentiment from this set is on the inside, too! Kite Delight Stamp Set (retired 2022); Enjoy the Journey DSP; Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Mango Melody & Coastal Cabana Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Blender Pen; Fine Sparkle Gems; #AAAB47. Time for another challenge at NBUS #48! I have just the thing! Right at the end of our Holiday Catty, the mother ship let us know that Regal Reindeer and its dies would be carrying over, but NOT as a bundle, so I quick snagged it while I could still get the discounted price. I didn't do this set at all for last year's holiday classes, so I have a feeling we'll see at this year's Christmas in July, lol. Anyway, what a great set to break in here! I had some fun setting up a little snowy scene - these reindeer really ARE regal! Regal Reindeer Stamp Set; Basic White & Evening Evergreen CS; Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Crumb Cake, Evening Evergreen, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Blender Pen; Reindeer & Stitched Shapes (retired) Dies; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes (retired); NBUS48. This month's cookie color at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #178 is YELLOW! Sunny days ahead! I couldn't help but run straight to Sweet Citrus for this one, lol - When a challenge gives you yellow, grab the lemons! I first found this pretty stripey sheet for my background in the Day at the Farm DSP pack from Sale-a-Bration - perfect! I then decided to finally try my hand at cutting AND embossing my lemons - gotta give this hybrid combo a go! I stamped first, doing my rinds in Crushed Curry, then the centers in Daffodil Delight. I did a couple leaves in Granny Apple Green, too, and decided to do the sentiment in that as well, so it would show up better. Then I cut everything out, and then I did all my citrus on the EF - worked a treat! I finished with a few Glossy Dots for some points of light - pucker up! Sweet Citrus Stamp Set; Day at the Farm DSP (SAB 2023); Basic White & Daffodil Delight CS; Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Inks; Sweet Citrus & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Sweet Citrus EF; Glossy Dots; #Cookie178. Hm, AAA Cards #235 has a very specific challenge this round, but hey, I'm game! Guess I didn't know "ink-blending on an edge" was a thing, lol. I started by browsing for a stamp set that would work stamping over my blended are, so I could figure out what colors I'd use. I quickly spotted Grassy Grove - I'm not sure I've EVER used this stamp set! I got the bundle for the fabulous trees in the Grove dies, and never looked back, lol. That'll learn me! Since I was going with a woodsy set, I chose greens for my blended edge, and then did all my stamping in Early Espresso to further the "grove" vibe. I finished with three tiny Rustic Metallic Dots - still CAS enough, I hope! Grassy Grove Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Old Olive, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce & Early Espresso Inks; Blending Brush; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Rustic Metallic Dots; #AAA235. Ahhh, my most favorite words, right after "any shape," are "anything goes!" And that's what we have this round at Retro Rubber #202! That said, I think I'll follow the lead of several of my teammates, and Irish today, lol. I pulled out some real oldies for this one! My cute capering leprechaun is from 2011's Gift Givers set, and my pretty shamrocks are from 2013's single stamp Lucky Day - so fun to see them in fresh current colors! I did a simple layout and added some ribbon - about done with this roll, finally! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with this round - hope to see you at the challenge! Gift Givers (retired 2011) & Lucky Day (retired 2013) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Cranny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Granny Apple Green Inks; Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, SU700 & SU 600 Blends Markers; Basic 3D EF; Textured Weave Ribbon; 1 3/4" Circle Punch; Wonderful Gems; #RRCB202. Very cute! Festive Friday #129 has a St. Patrick's challenge this run! I'm in! I carefully chose a few elements that would let me get away without actually using a St. Pat's sentiment, lol. I think I did that pretty well, lol! I have some green, some gold, a punny sentiment and some drinks! This card is a homage to my Grandmother, who once dyed my milk green for dinner for St. Patrick's when I was a kid, lol. It stands out in my memory as a meal where no one drank anything - I think she got my Dad and Grandpa's beer, too. Yikes! I do remember TRYING the milk, at least, lol. Brewed For You Stamp Set; Dandy Designs DSP (SAB 2023); Basic White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Granny Apple Green Inks; Brewed & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Textured Weave Ribbon; Gilded Gems; #FF0129. I'm super excited about this fun cue from Time Out Challenge #233 - "elegant!" I took a few to think about what says elegant to me - graceful script, lovely botanicals, tasteful metallics and embellies. I think I hit on just the right combo when I grabbed my Framed & Festive holiday set that came out with the pre-release of Framed Florets. I still have the DSP, too, so I picked a holiday-ish sheet and went from there! This gold frame is still my favorite die in this collection, and I added a few botanicals to go with, and finished with our new Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls. I was worried I was going overboard, but it's growing on me now! Framed & Festive Stamp Set (retired); Fitting Florets DSP (retired); Basic White & Gold Foil CS; Evening Evergreen Ink; Framed Florets Dies; Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls; #TOC233. |
