![]() Yum! We're going tropical at this week's Sunday Stamps #253! I couldn't resist pulling out my trusty In Bloom set again for this one - I love these happy flower dies so much! All those little stitching details really add to the cuteness, and look how fresh and vibrant they look in our colors! So fun! I even found a few brown sequins in the back of a drawer (I think from an old Paper Pumpkin) to add to my tiny little flowers for centers, too - yay! So where will our colors take YOU?? I can't wait to see, over at the challenge! In Bloom Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green & Daffodil Delight CS; Versamark, Daffodil Delight & Early Espresso Inks; White EP; Painted Texture EF; Pierced Blooms Dies; Brown Sequins; #SSC253. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 27! ![]() Oh, here's a fun challenge! Stamping Pals Challenge #13 is a "fab" fold challenge! I decided to show off some more yummy DSP, and I'm just not done with the gorgeous Berry Delightful paper from Sale-A-Bration! Since I was already pulling in the DSP, I decided to add in the stamp set, too - Berry Blessings. I ended up with a modified "flap-fold," landscape. Don't laugh, I really fret over what to call things, lol. But basically, I just wanted to play around with moving the fold-over flap around, so I slid it down to the bottom, and it just worked out perfect that I could add my sentiment along the bottom left to help hold it closed. What a fun time! Berry Blessings Stamp Set (retired); Berry Delightful DSP (retired); Pacific Point & Basic White CS; Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy & Pacific Point Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Pacific Point Enamel Dots; #SPC13. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 27! That said, I knew right away I wanted to pull in my favorite bird set, Free as a Bird. It's just SO pretty, and I've learned a lot about coloring from it! Or should I say, from the gorgeous Bird Ballad DSP that first came out with it?? I still have some carefully hoarded sheets, and for whatever reason, the fussy-cut bug bit me HARD today, so I cut out these lovely branches to arrange across my card front. The sentiments in the set are perfect for this card, I went with this one because it worked so well in the space remaining, lol. Love it! Free as a Bird Stamp Set; Bird Ballad DSP; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Layering Oval Dies; Playing With Patterns Resin Dots; #TLC78. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 27! I don't get to do too many of these! I decided I wanted to use my Wildly Happy stamp set - I really don't ink that one up too often, AND, I've never stamped the pandas! Time to fix that! I quickly figured out that it was harder than I though, lol. Pandas, so simple, all black and white, how hard can it be?? Argh! Coloring in the markings too much obscured all their cute features, and the "sketchy" nature of the image. I finally settled on some water painting to add rough color, leaving in some detail with brushstrokes that I hope match the line art a little. I'm still on the fence about how much I like the finished look, lol. I couldn't resist a few silver pearls, too - there's no color! Wildly Happy Stamp Set; Basic Black & Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Water Painter; Silver Pearls; #LIM438. ![]() Oh WOW! There's a fantastic card "recipe" for us at this week's As You See It #245 - and it's for a guy card! This one was a tough one - the "for a guy" part threw me at first. Then I wondered what dies I could use in earth tones, and I remembered I had all kinds of dies I've NEVER used in my Today's Tiles bundle! Perfect! When I saw this square design, I knew right away I wanted to dress up the colors a bit with some inlay - and I love the result! I also just now realized that the other dies are perfectly sized for the sentiments, duh, lol. It came together just how I pictured, and I hit every ingredient of the recipe, too! Woo! Today's Tiles Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze & Cinnamon Cider CS; Early Espresso Ink; Painted Texture EF; Field Tiles Dies; Linen Thread & Cajun Craze Linen Thread; #AYSI245. ![]() A new sketch is dawning at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #498, lol. I'm excited to combine it with our "something sweet" theme at SU Only #271, too. Hm, let's go crazy and turn the sketch today - I have a random top-fold card base in my paper stash that needs to move along, lol. I'm a little inspired by the colors on our sketch, too, and I'm thinking...cookies! Yes! For a set I love as much as Nothing's Better Than, I sure don't use it enough, lol. I couldn't resist popping up a little cookie for my focus, so we could have the yummy crumbs in the background, too! So, I can't wait to see what YOU will do with our cute sketch and fun theme this week - see you at the challenges! Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set; Crumb Cake DSP; Basic White, Pool Party & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso & Crumb Cake Inks; Love You Mare Than & Layering Ovals Dies; White Baker's Twine; Elegant Faceted Gems; #TSOT498; #SUOC271. ![]() Wow, a very fun combo at this week's In{k}spire Me #444! Well, it might have been the influence of still having Sweet Ice Cream out on my desk, lol, but I saw these colors and thought, "Popsicles!!" Or maybe it was the graphic from our latest Paper Pumpkin kit, sigh. Looks like a lot of us have ice cream on the brain this week! I threw out the sketch and focused on just the colors (NOT my usual sacrifice, lol) and popped out three frosty ice pops, just waiting for summer to take hold! Yum! It even looks refreshing over Vanilla!! (See what I did there??) Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set; Soft Suede DSP; Very Vanilla & Flirty Flamingo CS; Soft Suede, Flirty Flamingo, Rococo Rose & Rich Razzleberry Inks; Woven Threads Sequins; Corner Rounder Punch; #IM444. ![]() Hm, I can detect a little whiff of St Patty's at this week's Fusion "green" challenge! I decided to check my Ice Cream Corner DSP for some "green," I thought I remembered something good - and I was right! I found this lovely greens and blues wash sheet, and the flip side was this pretty green polka dot sheet - perfect! I covered my full card front, added a strip, and turned the sketch, so I could add a super-stacked cone extravaganza, lol. So fun, and I finished with some tasty sprinkles! Love these colors together! Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set; Ice Cream Corner DSP; Whisper White CS; Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Bermuda Bay & Pool Party Inks; Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch; Layering Ovals Dies; Old Olive Enamel Dots; #FusionGreen. ![]() Uh oh, The Male Room #148 is really testing us this month with their "not a card" challenge! So, here's a little side of my classes you don't get to see here too often, lol. For every regular class, I like to make a little "pillow gift," usually some kind of candy treat, and this month's class is pretty close to St. Patrick's Day, soooo, Leprechaun Hat Treats! Lol. I think they're perfect for this challenge, too! I did a green DSP insert into clear tiny treat boxes with Forever Greenery, then added a hat band in black with a little buckle in Crushed Curry. I finished with a tiny shamrock using the old Itty Bitty Accents punch, and a Bumblebee Enamel Dot in the middle. I filled them with green-wrapped peppermint patties, and hubby has already made off with his, lol... Clear Tiny Treat Boxes; Forever Greenery DSP; Garden Green, Basic Black & Crushed Curry CS; 7/8" Square & Itty Bitty Flower Punches; Bumblebee Enamel Dots; #TMR148. ![]() Such a fun sketch we have this week at Fab Friday #209! I think I want to pull out one I haven't played with much yet - I think only once so far! This is Art Gallery, and it's a lovely suite of brushwork flowers, papers and GOLDING FLAKES! We'll be playing with those in our Messy Class next month, but here's a card I did of piecing the flowers and stems together - I love how it came out! I added a few sequins to pull out the highlights, but stuck pretty close to my three basic colors otherwise... I can't wait to see YOUR creations for our sketch - meet you at the challenge! Art Gallery Stamp Set; Fine Art Floral DSP; Whisper White, Calypso Coral & So Saffron CS; Bumblebee, Pear Pizzazz & Calypso Coral Inks; Floral Gallery Dies; Iridescent Sequins; #FabFri209. ![]() Thank You Cards 2021 This is our chance to share a little gratitude - today we're all about the thank you cards!
