Oo, I'm excited to play again at Seize The Birthday #320 - this round calls for something CAS, but with dies! I'm on it! So, my new Help Me Grow bundle has been burning a hole on my desk for a bit here - but it doesn't have any birthday sentiments! If I do a CAS card with it, of say a pretty pot with some stems and flowers - do I have a sentiment I can squeeze in there from some other set?? Why, yes, I do!! I started by building this lovely potted flowering plant, featuring Pool Party and the lighter greens. I cut in the opening for the stamped pot, so I could tuck my stems in a little bit. Then I spotted this simple birthday sentiment in Moon & Back - perfect! I finished with a few Moody Palette Glossy Dots to keep bringing the Pool Party - I think this came out pretty sweet! Help Me Grow Stamp Set & Dies; Moon & Back Stamp Set; Basic White, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Pool Party, Crumb Cake & Pecan Pie Inks; Pool Party Moody Palette Dots; #STB320.

OK, one last Valentine's prompt for me, and then I'm done, lol. In{k}spire Me #583 gets it! I checked my critter section for this one, and when I saw this sentiment in Pet Love, I knew this was it, lol. I think my dogs tell me this all day, every day, lol. I pulled in the Made With Love DSP, and squeezed it two patterns - this glorious background, and the calmer dotty sheet for the kerchief. So fun! To break up the patterns, I slipped in a Stitched Be Mine Heart, and just for fun, also threw on the little "always" collar tag from the stamp set. Just perfect, lol. Pet Love Stamp Set & Dies; Made With Love DSP; Basic White & Flirty Flamingo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Stitched Be Mine (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; White Baker's Twine; Loose Valentine's Assortment; #IMC583. I think I spy some romance in a cup at this round of First Cup Challenges #11! Today I discovered the sheets of diecuts in my Hobby Haven DSP, lol, and there were a bunch of coffee themed ones! I couldn't resist this fun sentiment built from the Nothing's Better Than stamp set, so I stamped it up in two colors, and then surrounded it with all my coffee goodies, lol. It's making me want a cuppa, for sure, but I do love all these gorgeous colors together. Some Earthy Matte Dots were just right to finish! Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set (retired 2023); Hobby Haven DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Pecan Pie & Early Espresso Inks; Earthy Matte Dots in Early Espresso; #FCC11. Aw, such a cheery inspiration Valentine's cookie for us this round at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #213! As soon as I saw their suggestion that I needn't focus on hearts, but perhaps instead on little faces, I knew just what I wanted to do! Cute Fruit to the rescue! I still wanted it to pay homage to these pretty blue cookies, though, so I went with blue fruit, lol. It definitely makes me laugh when I look at it, lol. I really do like it when my food is happy to see me! I fussy cut them all for some extra oomph, and finished with a few Balmy Blue Solid Faceted Gems. Adorable! Cute Fruit Stamp Set (retired 2021); Basic White & Balmy Blue CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight & Pecan Pie Inks; Balmy Blue Solid Faceted Gems; #CC213. This will be good - The Male Room #207 has a clean and simple challenge this round! Not sure why my thinking goes this way, but I decided to do a color background for my CAS - Crumb Cake is a perfect guy color in this case! For a simple design element, I cut three leafy stems from the Friendly Foliage bundle - how cute do they look floating over the get well sentiment? As usual, I couldn't stop there and snuck on three tiny Low Profile Sparkle Dots at the end, too - I am a self-professed embellie addict, lol. Send help. Friendly Foliage Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White, Crumb Cake, Garden Green & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Garden Green Inks; Garden Green Low Profile Sparkle Dots; #TMR207. Oo, what a sweet collection of pinks at Hand Stamped Sentiments #481! This seemed like a job for our new A Rainbow of Thanks set - let's paint! I chose the roller brush for this one, and set it up with three swaths of the pink colors. I decided to add a little somethin' by stamping the brushes on scrap and fussy cutting them for some extra dimension, along with the sentiment. So simple, but so fun - this is sure to bring a smile to someone's face! A Rainbow of Thanks Stamp Set; Basic White & Strawberry Slush CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo & Bubble Bath Inks; Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo & Bubble Bath Blends Markers; Large Oval Punch (retired); Strawberry Slush Gems; #HSS481. OK, we want to see your sugar rush! The theme this round at As You See It #366 is CANDY! I found a lot of chocolate sets I could play with today, but I really wanted to do something with hard candy today - isn't that inspiration pic yummy?? I picked it out myself, lol. But the only hard candy I could find was candy canes! (Did I loan someone my Sweetest Thing bundle?? It is MIA, lol, and would have been perfect for this!) Anyway, in my opinion, one can never have too many Candy Canes, OR Christmas Cards, lol, so it all works out! I found this fun background paper in my old Sweet Stockings DSP pack, and then I did up a little tumble of classic candy canes for it. It was super quick to slip in the little leaf sprigs here and there, and then add my favorite "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the set. A few blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins finishes things off! I can't wait to see YOUR sweet projects this round - meet you at the challenge! Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set (retired 2022); Sweet Stockings DSP; Basic White & Old Olive CS; Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Inks; Candy Cane & Tasteful Label Dies (both retired); Traditional Sparkling Sequins; #AYSI366. I started by browsing my retired shelves for a swirly stamp element - and I spotted Wild Ferns, which only retired last year! I figured a few of the fern images would be perfect for the "swirls,", but then the dies reminded me that I could do a take on this sketch with ALL the elements, lol. I had totally forgotten the awesome tag shapes for the sentiments, and then of course those detailed corners - perfect! I started with a subtle Basic Beige background, which I stamped all over with the fiddlehead fern in Soft Sea Foam. I stamped up this sweet sentiment in Mossy Meadow, cut it out with the largest tag, and then backed it with this lacy corner detail in more Soft Sea Foam - just perfect! I added a Birthday sentiment in the bottom corner and finished with some Pearls of Beauty - love them! Wild Ferns Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2025) and Simply Said Stamp Set; Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Basic Beige CS; Soft Sea Foam & Mossy Meadow Inks; Pearls of Beauty; #TSOT688. RSVP today to save your spot! Class is ON for Saturday, Feb 14, at 1 pm - note the special time! They have some lovely cozy sea-colors for us this round at AAA Cards #307! Pretty! I started by pulling my inks - Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Pretty Peacock and Boho Blue seemed like the closest match to me! When I browsed my shelves with these in hand, Layers of Beauty leapt out! But, I knew I'd have to trim down that extravagant floral image - no problem! I ended up using the layering masks to color up the whole thing, and then trimming out the two largest blooms - and have the remainders tucked in the die sleeve for a rainy day, too, lol. I kept the layers all white, and finished with this "grateful" sentiment, and three of the smallest Boho Blue Glossy Dots. Love it! Layers of Beauty Stamp Set, Masks & Dies; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Pretty Peacock & Boho Blue (retired) Inks; Blending Brushes; Boho Blue Glossy Dots (retired); #AAA307. RSVP today to save your spot! Class is ON for Saturday, Feb 14, at 1 pm - note the special time! Yay! Time for our first tic-tac-toe of the year at Retro Rubber #265! You KNOW I had to do something that included that "purple" square, right?? So I opted for the top row - purple, stencil, gems! I first dug through my ;little stack of stencils, and landed on the Artistic Mix pack - I could do a sort of faux plaid in two different shades! I also set a mask from the same pack for my sentiment before I started - There's another stencil of two tag shapes, but I kept the punch outs from them just so I could do this! I went to town with a Blending Brush and two purples, Fresh Freesia & Berry Burst. Then I went back and added the sentiment from 2024's Heartfelt Hellos - simple and classy! I finished with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, of course! I can't wait to see your play on our tic-tac-toe - and don't forget to make it retro! Heartfelt Hellos Stamp Set (retired 2024; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Blending Brush; Artistic Mix Decorative Masks; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #RRCB265.
