Now this is an awesome theme - Farm Quest Challenge Blog #45 is all about porch or deck furniture!  Awesome!
I think I finally came up with something that will work - not sure I have anything that shows an actual PORCH, lol.  However, I spotted this monochrome storefront sheet in my Les Shoppes DSP pack - with no goodies in the windows, it really does look kinda like a pretty housefront!  Then I pulled in this awesome old porch rocker from 2005's Please Be Seated - one of my oldest stamp sets!  I paired it with this most country of sentiments from Coffee With Friends, and it brings to mind so many summer evenings spent on the front porch as a kid, watching the world go by.  Good times indeed!
Please Be Seated (retired 2005) & Coffee With Friends Stamp Sets; Les Shoppes DSP; Basic White & Misty Moonlight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake & Balmy Blue Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Linen Thread; Pacific Point Fine Sparkle Gems (retired); #FQCB45.

What a super cute sketch at this round's Inspire Create Challenge #160!  Such fun layers!
I've been itching to build a landscape with our gorgeous new Hills of Tuscany set - love this style!  I figured I had just enough room to do a snapshot scene on our largest Stylish Circle.  I chose some of the brushed solids from our Fresh As a Daisy DSP pack - it all looks much darker than I had been going for, but still works, I think!  I did try to add a couple brighter points of light with a few Champagne Rhinestones, though.  It was fun to work through all these layers!

I'm really liking the combo at this week's In{k}spire Me #526!  Love the purples!
BUT, I think I'll take just the sketch this round, lol - all my purples are out in class supplies right now!  On top of that, I took some, ah, liberties, with the sketch, too - I just wanted to make it all fit!  I'm debuting my Wild Ferns bundle today, and let me tell you, there are some COOL dies in this one!  I really wanted to use the largest of the pierced rectangles, and I could JUST make them fit if I turned them like this, lol.  Maybe too blocky?  Not sure on this one, but I swear I got the IDEA from the sketch, at least, lol.  I did my fern fronds in three colors, and smudged them all with a Blender Pen, floating my sentiment in the center.  A few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots finishes things off!  Hope I've met the brief!

Yay - I love our pretty sketch this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #431!
With all those cool elements, I knew I wanted to show off some DSP!  What better one to showcase than our beautiful Perennial Lavender?  I chose this neutral background for my gorgeous lavender field columns, then laid a few brushed up twigs behind my sentiment.  I added some shades of purples over my various greens after I diecut them - I really like the effect!  And of course, I finished with some Purple Fine Shimmer Gems - yum!
I can't wait to see YOUR beautiful projects with our fun sketch this round - meet you at the challenge!

Merry Blue & Bright

This sounds fun - The Sisterhood of Crafters has a "winter blues" theme this round!
If I'm going to do a "winter" card (in blues, lol) it's definitely going to be a Christmas card!  I decided a strand of bright blue bulbs would be just the thing - I am still totally smitten with our just-retired Merry & Bright set!  I did my darkest accents in Starry Sky, and then stamped and stamped off bulbs in Blueberry Bushel and Azure Afternoon.  Remember seeing those houses all lit up with only blue lights??  I used to love those, lol, but now I like multicolored ones - tastes change, I guess.  Anyway, I was reminded of seeing the all-blue theme a few times - perfect inspiration!

Watercolor Melon

I'm loving our little layered sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #328!
I couldn't resist FINALLY inking up our cute new Sale-a-Bration set Watercolor Melon for this one!  I normally wouldn't go for a set that doesn't have  sentiments with the images, but it was FREE, right?  Also, it goes with my new Modern Oval punch (yay!), AND, we have the mysterious new Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing set chock-full of sentiments!  I quickly set up my melon pieces and then tackled the new hybrid - I was VERY skeptical, lol.  I did a trial run over the weekend in plain white (in front of my class, too, I was sweating, lol) but today I sponge-daubed some ink on my chosen sentiment, and ran it through for just the one - worked like a charm!  Having the die go INSIDE the folder really takes out the smearing of inking the folder directly, because the die is between the folder and the paper - no smudging and I love the dimension!  Can't wait to do more of these!
I also can't wait to see YOUR layered projects for us this round - meet you at the challenge!

Now this is hilarious, and dare I say, a little ironic, ahem, lol.  Cardz 4 Guyz #339's theme this round is "no balls sport!"  Tricky, lol!
I did a quick review of my current stamp first, and just like that I spotted Hey Chuck, who has a little skateboard!  Perfect!  I love this shrieking guy, he always reminds me of Chicken Joe from Surf's Up, lol, and I think he's the greatest fit with the skateboard!  I floated him over this dotty panel of Daffodil Delight - chickens always make me think yellow and red, for some reason, lol.  I tucked his sun behind him, and floated this chopped up sentiment down one side - somehow it just fits, lol.  What fun!

Quiet Reflection (& Sympathy Cards Feb 10!)

Lol, we have such an awesome fill-in-the-blank challenge for you this round at As You See It #316!  What was YOUR latest crafting purchase??
My latest stamp set is the Quiet Reflection set, which I got for an upcoming class.  I sometimes find the DistINKtive style of stamps a little challenging to work with, but this one went more smoothly than for me!  After a couple experiments, I opted for this "stamped off" version, as a little softer in my chosen colors, and then I layered everything up to the max using my Rectangle Stitched dies.  I was able to sneak in a couple SAB goodies, too - love that!
I can't wait to get a peek at YOUR new toys!  Meet you at the challenge!
Quiet Reflection Stamp Set; Softly Stippled DSP; Basic White, Pebbled Path & Calypso Coral CS; Calypso Coral & Pebbled Path Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Calypso Coral Opague Faceted Gems; Calypso Coral Baker's Twine; #AYSI316.

Kraft Trees

Ah, so nice to have a Christmas card to design!  We at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #157 want to see you getting merry in Kraft!
So in SU! world, kraft means Crumb Cake, lol.  We HAVE occasionally had some true kraft heavy-weight specialty items, but I think it's been a few years!  Crumb Cake has been my go-to neutral since I first started!  I decided to play with my beloved Above It All set today - I just am so hooked on these retro trees!  I did a nice dotty background with my Dots & Spots die, over white, and then set up this pretty landcsape with three different size trees.  I heat embossed the stamped ones in clear, too, for a little variation.  A few Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems, and I am all good!
I can't wait to see YOUR krafty projects for this one - meet you at the challenge!
Above It All Stamp Set (retired 2024); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Crumb Cake & Versamark Inks; Clear EP; Above & All, Dots & Spots and Nested Essentials Dies; Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems; #SCC157.
