You know we love our layers at Sunday Stamps Challenge #224! How about a tag, too! I decided to go with some shapes I haven't used in a while, and pulled out my Believe You Can set. I love this Roosevelt quote! I'm not sure why I don't use my Stitched Nested Labels more, they come together so perfectly for fun tags! Anyway, I did stitched everything today, and had a good time adding a bit of color to the image with my blends. I even got to sneak in some fussy cutting for my little flowers and leaves! So, what will YOU create? I can't wait to see your cards, over at the challenge! Believe You Can Stamp Set; Whisper White, Pretty Peacock & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody, Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched & Stitched Nested Labels Dies; #SSC224. Yay! With a new month, we have a new grid from Joy of Sets #14 - lots of fun choices again this time! I finally settled on the top row this time - Watercolor-Purple-Die Cuts - and I knew I wanted to try out the gorgeous coordinating Birthday Dies now available that go with our Happy Birthday to You SAB set - so awesome! I haven't used the one that cuts JUST the flowers yet - it's perfect, I have to say. I honestly think that you could die cut these flowers and not know they even came from this cake image, lol. I pulled out my aqua-painter to cover the watercoloring square, and was reminded how much I love this tool all over again. Might be time for the Blends to take a tiny break, lol! Happy Birthday to You & Birthday Goodness Stamp Sets; Smoky Slate, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Mango Melody, Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz & Smoky Slate Inks; Aqua-Painter; Rectangle Stitched & Birthday Dies; Gold Glitter Enamel Dots; #JOSTTT014. Oh goody - another speed challenge at As You See It #218 - this time in shades of brown! This one was a tight one for me! I finally settled on using Parisian Beauty - all I could think about was a nice Espresso Eiffel Tower, lol. I spent a few minutes gathering all my supplies ready to hand, and I was off! Cutting my layers - check. Stamping my background - check. Eiffel Tower? Uh oh - when was the last time I re-inked this pad?? OK, slightly slower check. Linen thread - check! Sentiment? Oops, I can't just have one layer of this - how fast can I run 3 and stack them together? Yikes!! Assemble, assemble, assemble... Aaaaand - 9 minutes, 25 seconds. I wasn't sure I was going to make it there at the end, lol. I felt like I was on Chopped! Parisian Beauty Stamp Set; Sahara Sand, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Sahara Sand, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake Inks; Linen Thread; Parisian Dies; #AYSI218. Let's Get Messy 2020 Class Feb 13 & 15! For today's row, I went with the diagonal - Green-Diecut-Nature. I knew right away I wanted to pull out my old Inspired by Nature set - 2008, but still so elegant! I paired it this time with this wonderful scripture from Ecclesiastes 3, this one from Our Daily Bread's Scripture Collection 1. Something seems to be going on with them - they might now be Divinity Designs? Anyway, this collection is also an old one, but I'm not able to find a year, sigh. I do love it paired with the simple grass image, though! Simple and perfect! Inspired by Nature (retired 2008) & Scripture Collection 1 (ODB) Stamp Sets; Gray Granite, Early Espresso & Whisper White CS; Old Olive Ink; Early Espresso & Old Olive Stamp-n-Write Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Textured Weave Ribbon in Gray Granite; Clear Epoxy Droplets; #RRCB127. I'm excited to finally get some ink on my new stamp set, Positive Thoughts, which didn't really get my attention until I saw the AWESOME new coordinating dies you can now get with it! Let's just say, they had me at the fern die, lol... In a fun twist, I'm also using my VERY LAST full sheet of my beloved Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala DSP, {SOB!} I'm so sad to see this go, I loved this color and paper! I thought it was perfect for brightening up this little card of encouragement - such perfect words to share with a friend! Positive Thoughts Stamp Set; Gingham Gala DSP in Lemon Lime Twist (retired); Whisper White CS; Early Espresso, Lemon Lime Twist (retired), Daffodil Delight & Mango Melody Inks; Rectangle Stitched, Stitched So Sweetly & Nature's Thoughts Dies; Basic Jewel Pearls; #TSOCNewStash. And I hope I can squeeze in our love theme from SU Only #242, as well! With all that going on, it's no surprise to me that this card came out a bit busy, lol. I tried to tone down the paper choices a bit, but... Not sure how well I succeeded! Anyway, I still love my old Sealed With Love suite from 2017. There were fun dies, many varied stamps, and I think even this Sending Love DSP pack - can't believe I still have just a little bit of all of it! I tried to use all my stitched dies today, though, to help cover that aspect of the challenge! So what will YOU create for us? I can't wait to see your work, over the challenges! Sealed With Love Stamp Set (retired 2017); Sending Love DSP; Whisper White, Basic Black & Blushing Bride CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Blushing Bride & Real Red Inks; Rectangle Stitched, Stitched So Sweetly & Stitched Shapes Dies; Pink Epoxy Hearts; #TSOT443; #SUOC242. Oh gosh, this is an adorable combo this week at Fusion's "critter" challenge! After a bit of dithering, though, I focused on the sketch only - I really haven't used my Bloom & Grow set much at all, and it really seems made for this one! Since I also have the gorgeous dies for this one, I also put it all on dimensionals - love that look! I stamped everything in my Memento, and had a quiet few minutes coloring it all in with my Blends. I kept the colors soft - I'm seeing this as a lovely wedding card! I even finished the inside with a "congrats" from Peaceful Moments! Bloom & Grow and Peaceful Moments Stamp Sets; Whisper White & Soft Sea Foam CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mango Melody, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo So Saffron & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Budding Blooms Dies; Layered Leaves EF; Clear Epoxy Droplets; #FusionCritter. Hm, The Male Room #128 has a tough challenge this week - "It's snowing!" I had to head to the retired shelves for this one, but I think I already knew I'd wind up pulling out Mountain Adventure - let's have some snowboards and skis! I started at the bottom with the sentiment, then stacked up alternating skis and snowboards. I thought I'd take colors to go with a Pool Party card base, then found one lonely Tutti-Frutti card base in the scrap folder - yes! I think this is the very last of all my Tutti-Frutti sets, finally, lol. Anyway, I chose my reds and blues to contrast with that, and I'm really happy with the results! Hope it's snowy enough! Mountain Adventure Stamp Set (retired 2016); Tutti-Frutti Card Base in Pool Party (retired 2018); Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock & Basic Black Blends Markers; #TMR128. So exciting - I'm thrilled to be hosting this month's challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #109 - let's see those ornaments! For my own card, I couldn't help but go back our own gorgeous Christmas Gleaming set - I love that these beauties had punches to match! This suite originally came with a super rich and regal DSP, that I used every single scrap of, lol, so I've ventured off into a more classic colors scheme of red and green. Using my Blends Markers, I tried to add some depth with a color lifter to the ornaments, but it's pretty subtle in my pic. I did decide that our pretty Parisian Flourish embossing folder sort of echos the design on these ornaments - cool! So, what will YOU have for us in the ornaments department?? I can't wait to see, over at the challenge! Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set; Whisper White, Basic Black & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Smoky Slate & Color Lifter Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Gleaming Ornaments Punches; Parisian Flourish EF; Red Twine; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #SCC109. |
