This week's Fusion Challenge sure has a tempting duo for us - besides the gorgeous simple sketch, there's a yummy teatime inspiration pic! How can I choose?? Duh, with our gorgeous new Tea Together set, I tried for a little bit of both! I focused today on the pretty teacup, and I spent some time figuring out the masking finally for adding the flowers exactly where I want them on my china, lol. I couldn't resist adding sentiments from my beloved Balloon Celebration - they're so perfect for all things tea and coffee (and champagne and hot chocolate, lol.) I even put the line "(and eat cake)" on the inside for a birthday - tea and cake! Yes!! Tea Together & Balloon Celebration Stamp Sets; Painted Seasons DSP Whisper White & Night of Navy CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green & Mango Melody Blends Markers; Tea Time & Layering Circles Framelits; Corner Rounder Punch; Night of Navy Enamel Dots; #FusionTeaBouquet.

Back to Basics #21 is bringing in paper piecing - such a fun technique! I went hunting for a fun set to paper-piece with, and I finally landed on this pretty lady's dress! I also really wanted to play with the gorgeous Painted Seasons DSP (coming soon - March 1!) some more, too, so I chose this pretty print in Grapefruit Grove. I have to say, I'm really starting to warm up to this color the more I see it out and about! I LOVE it in this DSP, for sure. I managed somehow to stamp the dress in the perfect place to show off my lady's curves - that was a total fluke, I admit, lol. I love how this card came out, though - just really pretty and simple! Wonderful Moments Stamp Set; Painted Seasons DSP; Whisper White, Grapefruit Grove & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Soft Suede & Nude Blends Markers; Grapefruit Grove Stamp-n-Write Marker; #BBB021. Inspire Create Challenge #036 is giving us free rein this week - anything from Sale-A-Bration! Whoopee! I'm still riding the high of playing with all my preview Coordinating Products toys - today it's the framelits that go with Lasting Lily! Makes it so easy to add some pop to these pretty blossoms, AND there are some layering shapes for the sentiments in this set as well - and you know I love my layers, lol. I decided to try out my balmy blue today, and add a touch of the lovely matching Organdy Ribbon, too - every time I stamp with Balmy Blue, I'm reminded how much better I like it than out old Marina Mist! Oops, did I just say that out loud?? Shh! Lasting Lily Stamp Set; Whisper White & Balmy Blue CS; Pear Pizzazz & Balmy Blue Ink; Daffodil Delight Stamp-n-Write Marker; Subtle DEF; Lily Framelits; Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon; Basic Jewel Pearls; #ICC036. We have a super sweet sketch for you this week at Fab Friday #157 - it's not too late for one more Valentine! For myself, though, it turns out it's all about the frogs, lol. ESPECIALLY with our awesome upcoming coordinating products release, that includes a set of framelits JUST for this set, called Hop Around, AND a wonderful all-inclusive set that has several new sentiments to use with ALL our Sale-A-Bration sets! I'm in heaven! With no fussy cutting to deal with, I did a full knot of froggies (yes, they're called a "knot," lol!) and also some little bugs to send them leaping after! I stamped the second half "when I have a friend as amazing as you" on the inside. I can't wait to check out YOUR creations - see you at the challenge! So Hoppy Together & More Than Words Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pool Party & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Hop Around Framelits; #FabFri157. Time for another one-layer challenge from this week's AAA #133 - with an optional love theme that I think we'll need to honor for the day! With all the new goodies around here, I decided it was time to do a browse for stamps that could use a little inky love! This week's winner was Hanging Garden, which I feel like is also a good one for the one-layer theme! I even squeezed in a little "love" with the sentiment. I kept my colors nice and springy, inspired by my desert garden starting to take off! Calm and simple is the watch-word today! Hanging Garden Stamp Set; Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black & Cajun Craze Blends Markers; #AAA133. Ooo, SU Only #216 is speaking my language - flowers! Even more exciting, I get to use this challenge to showcase a new suite - Painted Seasons! The stamp set and DSP pack are a new Sale-A-Bration item, a bundle you can get for FREE with a $100 order starting February 15 - I couldn't pass it up myself, especially since there's ALSO a set of framelits coming for it on March 1 that I also got to preview - happy flower days are here! I love that all the images in this set are DistINKtive stamps, and that the set spans all four seasons - can't wait to try out this beautiful pinecone, too... We have a lovely landscape sketch for you this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #395! Speaking of landscapes, this seems like the perfect sketch to show off my Sale-A-Bration set, By the Bay - I can just smell the ocean! The scene reminds me so much of trips to Nova Scotia, through little seaside towns. I had some fun playing with my aqua-painter for a soft watercolor effect in my coloring. I think this path would definitely lead to happiness for me, lol, along with the amazing view! I hope you're planning on joining us - I can't wait to see your creations over at the challenge! By the Bay Stamp Set; Whisper White, Crumb Cake & Mossy Meadow CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party, Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Gray Granite & Crumb Cake Inks; Aqua-Painter; Old Olive Sheer Ribbon; Old Olive Glimmer Dots; #TSOT396. Oo, good times ahead - another collection challenge at this week's As You See It #193! Holy smokes, this one was a tough one! I wasn't sure I could pull it off for a bit there, but then I got to looking at my new Geared Up Garage set, and thought, hey, I could a see a car like that in Poppy Parade, lol. It was all over at that point! I played around, squeezing in all the details, and right up til then end thought it would be a regular old man card, but then that sentiment leapt out for my attention, and I realized I had a manly Valentine on my hands, lol. Whew, it was a close one! Geared Up Garage Stamp Set; Classic Garage & Botanical Butterfly DSP; Whisper White & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Poppy Parade Ink; Poppy Parade, Pool Party & Smoky Slate Blends; Garage Gears Thinlits; Sweet & Sassy Framelits (retired); Striped Metallic Ribbon; #AYSI193. We're bringing the romance with our sketch this week at Sunday Stamps #198! I of course had to pull in another shape for my card - you knew I would do that, right? I have been wanting to ink up my pretty teapot in Tea Together in the worst way, and I finally got my Tea Time Framelits from Sale-a-Bration, too - yay! I did some coloring with my Blends Markers, and even tried for some shading on the pot - not too terrible, lol. I pulled in a sentiment from Best Birds - needed something that would fit the space I had! So what do YOU have for us?? I can't wait to see what you've got over at the challenge! Tea Together & Best Birds Stamp Sets; Floral Romance DSP; Whisper White & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody & Pool Party Blends Markers; Tea Time Framelits; Basic Jewel Pearls; #SSC198. Oo, check out the lovely flourish at this week's In{k}spire Me #385! I wasn't feeling the color challenge that went with the sketch this time, but this lovely swoosh reminded me of my new Wonderful Romance set - the prettiest florals to come our way in a while! Even more amazing are the gorgeous framelits that go with - detailed cuts for all the images, plus some borders, textures and extra shapes - over the top, as always, lol. I went with some pretty Spring colors today, in honor of all the sprouts coming up in my garden right now - while there's been polar vortex everywhere else, this has been prime planting season here in AZ! So excited for the new growing season, and glad to have this fresh new set to celebrate!
