Fab Sale-A-Bration!

Look at this cute sketch at Fab Friday #81! You SO have to go check out the design team ideas for this one - we are AWESOME today!
For myself, I decided to see how much SAB goodness I could cram on one card. Turns out, I could span generations, lol!
I got to bring out my newest SAB stamp set Party Pants (best stamp name ever!) that just released on Monday. The sentiments in this one are totally the cutest, AND it has a nice balloon for our matching punch, too. SU! is so perfect like that... I added some of our SAB paper, and for a finishing touch, a few of my last surviving buttons from LAST year's SAB! I only have one little Blackberry Bliss button left, {SOB}!

I can't wait to play with this fun sketch from this week's Retro Sketch #202! I love all the floral elements... I hope I can make it work with Can You Case It #107's awesome colors!
I had some fun pilling out all things purple for this one, I have to admit. Purple is SO my favorite color! I decided to try some blends of several, in inks and CS, and I'm very happy happy with how it all came out - yummy!

Goodness - I can't believe we're already on week three of MPC0216-Share Your Story! I'm excited to combine this week with In{k}spire Me #236, too!
So, about this card. I was having a coffee with a friend the other week, and she shared a little bit about her daughter's new (and first) boyfriend. Who's perfectly nice and gentlemanly. And bathes. And is pretty socially acceptable, and all that. But, well, you know. She just doesn't care for him. Lol. I think it might be more about him being the first one, if you ask me. Anyway, talk came around to making up a little family goodie bag for him for some event or other pretty close to Valentine's, but not wanting to be

too effusive. Did I have any thoughts? Why, YES, I do! I made up this card for her, and handed it off, and I thought she would die of laughter. Perfection achieved - yay! Sorry, FB (First Boyfriend!) Enjoy your un-Valentine!

I love the super-cute layout at this week's Match The Sketch #111!
I've been itching to do more with the amazing Going Global suite - I love everything about the stamp set, and the Going Places DSP stack that goes with it has some really intriguing designs to play with! I love these colors, too, and they of course make me think "man card," I have to admit. I tried to assemble all my "worldly" elements here - I think it works!

Birthday Breeze
I am so completely thrilled to show you some new cards using the Balloon Celebration stamp set - I don't think it's any secret around here that this is hands-down my FAVORITE set from the catty! I've been trying to hold myself back so you guys don't get sick of seeing it here so much, lol. Anyway, I knew I really needed to try my hand at the gorgeous wispy dandelion seeds included - I've been so focused on the balloons! I wanted to get the cobwebs out and just go for it - so here we are. I'm slightly worried that it's too

simple - but it's just so perfect, and has so much movement, I couldn't help myself. A great warm-up, at least!

Citrus Thanks
I still have some elements I haven't touched that I needed to ink up! What to do with the little wheel-like element, or the little tribal dots? Go citrus, of course! I can't lie, these colors are totally inspired by this tasty card from Becky Roberts of Inking Idaho fame! Juicy! I had to take those colors out for a spin myself, and this is what I landed on - love this one, too! The bright colors called out to this

sweet sentiment from Me = Grateful, and I once again got to have a little something to say on the inside, too. What a perfect match!

Fresh Sunburst

Here's a nifty layout from Freshly Made Sketch #223!
When I saw the crossed shapes in the back layers on this sketch, I immediately started thinking about our new Sunburst suite - there's a cool stamp set, AND the awesome thinlet to go with that takes all the work out of cutting a sunburst shape - yay! It was pretty straightforward after that - pick my sunny colors, add some sparkle, and SHAZAM!

OK, I'm throwing off my grouch today to play at this week's Stamp Ink Paper #34 - love, love, love!
I'm not sure why I'm not going all Valentine's nuts this year - I love the decor for this holiday! I also just received my pre-order of the soon-to-be-released new Sale-A-Bration items - LOVE! Check out this adorable tandem bicycle - don't you want one? I'd love to try it, though I worry a bit that my hubby and I would kill each other, lol... Chalkboard Flurries

Uh, oh. This week's Merry Monday #191 is a chalkboard technique challenge - argh! Yes, dear ones, a technique I haven't mastered! Let's roll up our sleeves...
I started with my stamp choice. Normally, I like sentiment focused cards for chalkboard - they can be made to look all dusty and cool! But I just used a retired set LAST Merry Monday, I should try for something current this week... Hm, how about flurries? That might work, AND there's that fun script-y sentiment! I added a little corner interest with punches, and heat embossed everything in white. Too add some chalk dust, I decided to daub on some of my old Illuminate pad, which also adds a little shimmer. I'm stopping now while I'm ahead!

What a neat layout at this week's Can You Case It #106! This one is a great chance to really highlight some DSP...
One of my favorite papers this year is this rich thumb-print-y (that's a word, right?) paper from the English Garden pack. I love it so much that I've been carefully hoarding it, and have only used it once. Yikes! So I floated a nice flower over that paper, and thought this might be a nice setting for a sympathy sentiment, but without actually saying

"sympathy." I added a white panel inside and added another sentiment from Rose Wonder - "You're in my thoughts and prayers." Love it.

Dotty For You 2!

I'm excited to be back again with week 2 of MPC0216-Share Your Story! I was also jazzed to realize that I could include TGIF #41's color challenge, as soon as I saw that Blushing Bride in there, lol.
So here's the little story for:this card - I keep an empty stamp storage box on my work desk just full of all my little embellies: pearls, epoxy stuff, rhinestones, and of course, candy dots. Just yesterday, I decided to sort through my little stash, 'cause the box was getting FULL! Lo and behold, guess who had three sheets of Brights Dots, all with the full strip of Melon Mambo still on them?? Uh, gee, guess I didn't realize I wasn't using those, lol. So I immediately decided I needed to try and use them all on one card!

How'd I do? I still need to clean up Tempting Turquoise, too - FOUR sheets of those, yikes!
