Wow, what a nifty collection of inspo pics from Hand Stamped Sentiments #480 - so much to choose from! I was most attracted to the lovely aspen grove of trees - though I brightened my colors up a bit, lol. It's just perfect for my new Aspen Grove stamp set - which features individual aspen trunks that I can repeat or rearrange as much as I want! Brilliant! I started by using blending brushes to create a little bit of horizon by blending in some Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist. Then I used up LOTS of white scraps stamping and fussy cutting my tree trunks - such easy lines to cut, lol. I arranged them so the ends were hanging over a bit - I love this "live edge" look on cards! After some digging, this sentiment from the recently retired Comforting Thoughts seemed just right for this peaceful grove! It came out so pretty! Aspen Grove & Comforting Thoughts (retired 2025) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist & Early Espresso Inks; Delightful Wishes Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #HSS480.

Time for a little cookin' this round at As You See It #365's recipe challenge! So, I have to admit, I consider vellum to be my crafting nemesis, lol, so I always try to think of minimizing it, as well as disguising whatever adhesive I used on it! What better way to accomplish all this than by sandwiching it between layers of other papers?? Inspired by the circular theme in my teamie Deborah's elegant card, I came up with this flashy little Valentine! First up, I brought the bling with a full background of Red Glimmer paper - yes, I've had red glitter somewhere on my face for three days, now, sigh. Next I pulled my retired Circle Sayings stamp set, because one of the rings is to "celebrate!" So I created 3 layers to feature it with my Spotlight on Nature dies, and added some sweet hearts in the middle in all the shades of red I could think of. I finished with a little sweetheart sentiment from Valentine Kisses! Whew! I can't wait to see what YOU cook up this round - meet you at the challenge! Circle Sayings Stamp Set (retired 2024) & Valentine Kisses Stamp Set & Dies; Made With Love DSP; Basic White, Vellum, Red Glimmer, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Poppy Parade & Sweet Sorbet CS; Real Red Ink; Spotlight on Nature Dies; #AYSI365. Oo, what a dramatic landscape sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #687! I immediately went digging through my landscapes stamps for this one. But then I had a thought - what about if the landscape was already printed on the background? Like in, say, my all-time favorite Enjoy the Journey paper? I could turn the sketch to give myself more room! While I was digging through the retired stash for that, though, I got totally derailed when I spotted my almost-as-beloved O Holy Night DSP pack. Sold! For my "shapes" below the landscape I could do camels or something! Then I spotted my Night in Bethlehem stamp set from 2019 - and I settled on the holy family with their donkey and a shepherd for my two "shapes." And then I realized I could emphasize the landscape by inserting this desert cityscape to the horizon line of the DSP - my mind was on fire, lol. Anyway, this card is the result of all of that, and I LOVE it! Night in Bethlehem Stamp Set (retired 2019); O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White & Pebbled Path (retired) CS; Versamark Ink; Silver EP; Bethlehem Edgelit Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #TSOT687. Oo, check out these cool colors at SU Only #393! Browsing my stamp sets, I couldn't stop thinking about how cute these colors would be on a race car, lol, so that's just what I did! I pulled last year's Racing By set, set up a simple Navy and Curry background, and got down to the stamping! I filled in my Navy car outline with Crushed Curry ink, then came back with Night of Navy for the tires and the driver. I popped up the sentiment in Navy again layered over Curry, and added a trio of flags hanging under that - cute look! Finally, I dug out some Night of Navy Enamel Dots to finish! Very cute for a young racing fan! Racing By Stamp Set (retired 2025); Night of Navy DSP (retired); Basic White & Crushed Curry CS; Night of Navy & Crushed Curry Inks; Night of Navy Enamel Dots; #SUOC393. We have a sweet sketch for you this round at Retro Rubber #264! As is my usual habit, I went browsing for a fun shape to do in place of a circle, lol, and this fun teacup from 2016's A Nice Cuppa caught my eye! I'm totally feeling the tea vibe today, so I went all out, and dug out the still-gorgeous Tea Boutique DSP, some Eyelet 3D embossing. a slice of lemon and this darling teapot embellishment. I am such a hoarder! I thought I'd still make a nod to the sketch and put a teaspoon across the cup base, since I added my sentiment above! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our fun sketch this round - and don't forget to make it RETRO! A Nice Cuppa Stamp Set (retired 2016); Tea Boutique DSP (retired); Basic White, Silver Foil & Orchid Oasis (retired) CS; Orchid Oasis (retired) & Darling Duckling Inks; Cups & Kettle Dies; Small Oval Punch; Eyelet 3D EF; Have a Cuppa Embellishments (retired); Orchid Oasis Baker's Twine (retired); Orchid Oasis Pearls (retired); #RRCB264. We'd like you to keep it CAS this round at Make My Monday #270 - whatever that means to you! To me, CAS means lots of white (or whatever your base color is, lol) space, and I skirted the edge a little of my own definition for today's card! I got to looking at my DSP tower, and realized that I haven't yet used my Hobby Haven pack! This DSP is meant to be part of the Creative Haven suite, I think it was originally an Online Exclusive, but the stamp set and dies didn't immediately grab me, lol. I might have to revisit that, but the DSP features sheets of all kinds of hobbies - cooking, sewing, plants - you name it! There's even two sheets of lovely diecuts with it! I went for a little chunk of the cooking sheet today, to go with this Psalm 34 quote - a little bit of a play on words - get it? I can't wait to see your CAS creations, too - meet you at the challenge! Stamp Simply Blessings/Beatitudes 1 Stamp Set; Hobby Haven DSP; Basic White & Secret Sea CS; Secret Sea Ink; Secret Sea Flat Pearls; #MMM270. Just in time, we have some SWEET colors for you to play this round at Sunday Stamps #378! After pulling my favorite heart-y sheet from the new Made With Love DSP pack, I went all the way back to 2012 for the P.S. I Love You stamp set, lol. I still love this one so much! Today I went for the chocolate covered strawberries, and inked them up with my Stamp-n-Write markers. I even had to break out the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to get it all lined up! So nostalgic, lol, especially after I pulled out the old Modern Label punch, too. I used to use this one for everything, lol. I can't wait to see what sweetness YOU come up with for our tasty colors - meet you at the challenge! P.S. I Love You Stamp Set (retired 2012); Made With Love DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Strawberry Slush, Flirty Flamingo & Early Espresso Stamp-n-Write Markers; Early Espresso & Flirty Flamingo Inks; Happy Heart EF (retired); Modern Label (retired) & 1 3/8" Circle Punches; White Transparent Dots; #SSC378. Such a fun inspo list at Festive Friday #201 - for World Marriage Day! I went straight to my super sweet Blessed Beginnings stamp set for this one! I loved it so much with the Country Woods DSP last time, I pulled this weathered white-wash sheet from the same DSP, too - I think I use this sheet the most, lol. I did this lovely Silver Foil leaf arrangement from the Nature's Symphony die set, and tucked a scrap of lace behind my heat-embossed sentiment. A few simple rhinestones finishes it off, just because they're on the list, too. I think this came out so pretty! Blessed Beginnings Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White, Silver Foil & Crumb Cake CS; Versamark Ink; Silver EP; Victoria Crochet Trim (retired); Nature's Symphony & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #FF0201. Hm, this could be a tall order! Shopping Our Stash #565 is called "out with the old in with the new," and we're supposed to combine some OLD stash stuff with NEW (or never used, lol) stash stuff! So, when I picked up the amazing Nature's Symphony suite during pre-order, I went ahead and nabbed the coordinating "scrapping" stamp set Exploring Nature. I kinda get the idea that these somewhat larger sentiments are made with adding to scrap pages in mind, but I've picked up one or two that just had some really cool possibilities for cards, too. But even though I've used the "symphony" side of this suite several times now, I keep passing "exploring" by, sigh. Today I picked this sentiment from it - not too oversized, and PERFECT for our old Enjoy the Journey suite from 2023! I'm still obsessed by this DSP, and I also still have many embellishments in the retired In Color Starry Sky as well - I'd say this is a match made in heaven! Exploring Nature Stamp Set; Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Starry Sky (retired) CS; Starry Sky Ink (retired); Seasonal Labels & Greatest Journey Dies (both retired); Starry Sky Baker's Twine (retired); Starry Sky Pearls (retired); #SOS565. So, the gorgeous new Nature's Symphony actually HAS a GUY sentiment, so I decided to go with that one, lol. So cute! The Nature Walk DSP that goes with is FULL of moody guy colors and textures, too, as you can see from the leafy die I cut from one of the sheets. I love this scripty background, too - I bet this is the first sheet I use up, lol. After popping in a little driftwood diecut behind it, I customized one of our retired Tailor Made Tags for a little extra length, and set up that perfect sentiment, lol. A few Copper Clay Speckled Dots were just the right finishing touch! Nature's Symphony Stamp Set & Dies; Nature Walk DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Early Espresso Ink; Tailor Made Tags Dies (retired); Early Espresso Linen Thread; Copper Clay Speckled Dots (retired); #TMR206.
