 Oo, SU Only #367 has a fabulous sketch for us this round! I really wanted to show off some pretty DSP with this sketch, and I couldn't wait to break into my new Everyday Skies DSP pack! Gorgeous bold skies in all colors, so dramatic - I couldn't resist, lol. They also make a perfect backdrop for scripture or faith encouragement, so I pulled in another new set for me - Faith Collection from our latest Online Exclusives! While it has a couple new crosses to play with, and brilliant dies, of course, there's also this lovely sentiment, which I inked up for today - beautiful! There's some lovely Easter phrases, too, but I can tell I'll be using this one a lot!  Oh gosh, If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #200 (woo hoo for the big number!) has an anything goes challenge this round! What to try?? I REALLY wanted to ink up my new Delightful Wishes suite! I don't usually go much for flower sets, but the new forsythia designs are just darling, and I don't have any of them yet, so it was a go! We had a HUGE forsythia hedge when I was growing up - it was so thick and tall we could actually climb around on top of it, and I would hide up there and make forsythia crowns for me and all my stuffed animals, lol. Good times! I put together a sprig of the stamped image of the flowers over the gorgeous DSP for my first outing - it came together like a breeze! I also got to show off the Tiny Bee Trinkets again! Oo, LOVE our new color combo to start off the year at As You See It #339! This frosty inspiration pic totally make me think floral, which is not a typical direction for me, lol. BUT, I just couldn't help but wonder how our gorgeous Layers of Beauty bundle would do up in these colors!! I'm totally in love with how it worked out! I did my larger blossoms in the Berry Burst, of course, and the leaves in Smoky Slate, with the stamping in the Basic Gray. I managed just a smidge of Peach Pie for my small flowers centers! These masks make me look like an awesome coloring goddess, lol, I wish I could take the credit! I can't wait to see what YOU do with a fun frosty colors - meet you at the challenge! This time, I started right away looking for something fun "to fly" lol. I spotted my seldom used Cap & Gown set and knew that was it! I just hoped I could convey enough movement, and still keep it CAS! I started with my spinning caps, and then figure I could just put in one hand for "the toss," lol. I think it worked! So excited that I get to show off SEVERAL new goodies with this one - perfect for a "beginnings" theme, too, I suppose, lol. There are some great sentiments in our new (out TODAY!) It took me a while to suss out an image that I thought I could do in these colors, that WASN'T flowers, lol. The yellow and the peachy-orange were tough! Then I thought, hey, they would make great umbrella colors! See how my mind works?? From there, I knew I just wanted to dress my rainy lady in the rest of the colors, which worked a treat! It's so pretty, and being from Arizona, I really can't lay off anything cactus or succulent themed, lol. The shoe fits! Anyway, I also couldn't resist featuring this with some retired Soft Succulent details - made for each other! I started with a background of Soft Succulent for my beauty, then added a stamped-off layer of Highland Heather - it looks like so many of the plantings I see in the yards around here!
