 Ooo! This is very cool! Inspire Create Challenge #222 would like us to create a "hidden message" card! I can do it! I remembered a long time ago making a "flower pot" card, and I decided today to try for a mini version using our upcoming Radiant Sunflowers suite! I first chose a fairly neutral background sheet from the Sunflower Fields DSP - I think this little mini check goes well with the Gingham Ribbon! Then I stamped and colored this little bouquet of sunflowers, diecut it, and got down to working out the pot in Cajun Craze. I think it worked out pretty well, and I tucked in the little tag shape also in the dies for my sentiment! (See below for the reveal!) I threw on a few extra sunflowers also cut with the dies, I really wanted to play with ALL the toys, lol. Yay!  Here's a fun little landscape sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments #494! Such a fun landscape ketch to play with something new, lol - here's a sneaky peek at the beautiful and playful Painted Pumpkins suite coming in our Sep-Dec Catty! I was instantly smitten with the DSP the stamps, AND there a set of layering stencils to play with, too! I so love the colors in the DSP, I stuck with some coloring myself for now, but I did try to sneak in the embellies for you, too! My fave sheet of the DSP has this Secret Sea background for those bright gourds, and the reverse side is this sweet plaid, so yum! I threw on a bit of the Calypso Coral Bordered Ribbon, and a few Cajun Craze Painted Patch Dots. I chose this threesome of pumpkins to stamp and color -they're on one stamp, so that the single die works a snap! Yay! And somehow, when I do this gorgeous Eiffel Tower, I always want to pair it with Very Vanilla, so that was my color scheme settled, especially when I naturally pulled in Merry Merlot, lol. So funny story, I had to stop right then in my blog post and go back and pull off my glasses and redo them - I had put my merlot in champagne flutes, lol. Duh! So I quick went and redid them with these goblets - now we're all proper! I had found a scrap of newsprint paper in my Vanilla scrap folder, so I went and pulled my Typeset Specialty DSP for the background, too. I love how this turned out - think I'll put in with my wedding card offerings! My tried and true method of conquering a speed challenge is to pull in some DSP, and I have JUST the things still around - the now-retired Hobby Haven DSP pack! Yes! I got everything out and ready, papers on the trimmer, ink pads open, and the upcoming Tile Garden Dies standing by (a square version of the awesome Spotlight on Nature Dies!)- let's go! Paper layers and envelope flap, check. Sentient stamped and die cut, check. Extra doodads pulled from my envelope of already punched diecut sheets, check. A quick assembly, on go a few Shimmering Dots, and stop the clock! Made this cutie in 4 minutes and 29 seconds - whew! Why, yes, self, I totally do, lol! I knew immediately I would crank out a pile of my favorite flavors of macarons from said shelf, along with a few meringue kisses, on a beautiful dessert stand, too! Bring me the sugar, baby! Geez, I crack myself up, obviously, lol. I pulled out my Cake Day dies for the macarons and kisses, and the 2020 Birthday dies for the cake stand. This "sweetest" sentiment from the Filled With Sweetness stamp set seemed perfect for all this sugar, too. Now you know my weakness: chocolate, lemon and pistachio macarons! I went for a browse of my beachy sets, and of course pulled Friends Are Like Seashells from 2023 - I think this will ALWAYS be a favorite of mine! I knew I wanted to do a bunch of shells, and I also still love my old Waves of the Ocean DSP from 2022, lol. I have certainly been pulling it out from the bin for beach cards this year! Then I had a thought, what would happen if I used the Waffle Flower Postage Collage die on DSP?? Once I had the thought, I had to go for it, lol. I chose this lighter sheet so I could stamp the sentiment right onto it, and it is DREAMY! I stamped everything in Early Espresso, even the shells which I did on Basic Beige. I added some color to the shells with Blends Markers, laid everything out, and finished with my Antique Pearls. I have to say, I am pretty smitten with this one! We're headed to the tropics this round at Retro Rubber #278 - let's see your tropical flowers! I headed straight for my Timeless Tropical bundle from 2022 for this one - I even have some of DSP still, though I didn't use it today, lol. Today I really wanted to use my blending brushes, so I created a cascade of tropical colors down one side of my white panel, blending Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight. Then I stamped the largest bloom from the set in Black over that - a hibiscus. I think this came out pretty cool! For my sentiment I layered up four of the alohas, then tacked on some tiny flowers and leaves to finish. So happy with this! I can't wait to see YOUR tropical adventures - and don't forget to make it RETRO! I went for this palm tree-forward background from the Beach Boardwalk DSP, and popped up a coaster that I stamped onto Pretty in Pink so it would blend in a bit. I tucked in a few Secret Sea palm trees behind it, and stamped my sentiment directly onto one of the ticket shapes from the DSP. At the last second, I added the coaster train in Petunia Pop that I found already cut in my die set, lol. Just right! Then I stamped this little cutie with his offering for the tree - so adorable! I love that the mice dies have little cuts for their arms to be free - they have lots of cool things to hang on to, and a couple wardrobe items to boot!
