Who knew?? We're celebrating National Teddy Bear Day at Make My Monday #234! While I have LOTS of bear images, I don't actually have many TEDDY bears, lol. I do have one that is my favorite, though, this little cutie from 2011's Baby Bundle set - he (or she!) is still the sweetest! I did a sweet little CAS number today, with three tumbling teddies, and a bit of twine - I couldn't resist making them different colors, too, lol. A few Crumb Cake Enamel Dots finishes things off! I can't wait to see YOUR teddies in action - meet you at the challenge! Baby Bundle Stamp Set (retired 2011); Crumb Cake DSP (retired, on envelope); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink & Balmy Blue Blends Markers; 1" Circle Punch; Linen Thread; Crumb Cake Enamel Dots; #234. Super fun! Festive Friday #0167 is all about harvest time! Perfect timing as always! As soon as I saw "apron" on the inspo list, I knew I'd be using my Apron of Love bundle for this one - what else can I snag? I totally have gingham, and I think Grapefruit Grove is a fruity color, and I can use twine for the apron strings, and I can get a scallop layer on there - let's do it! This is what I wound up with - I don't have any Grapefruit Grove CS anymore (I actually didn't care for this color, lol) but it matches just fine with Calypso Coral! I did a nice solid background, then did a tilty scalloped panel in the gingham for my apron - so fun! At the last second, I decided to add some kitchen tools to the pocket - just the right touch! Apron of Love Stamp Set (retired 2019); Gingham Gala DSP (retired); Basic White & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Crumb Cake Blend Marker; Apron Builder & Stitched So Sweetly Dies (both retired); Calypso Coral Twine; Woven Threads Sequins in Calypso Coral (retired); #FF0167. Christmas Cards Part 2 September 14! Time to finish up our Christmas cards ideas with part 2! So much to choose from! This class will feature 6 cards with envelopes, and include all supplies needed (bring your own favorite snips and adhesive!) Class also includes snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, September 14 at 2 pm! RSVP today to save your spot! Yay! So glad I can squeeze in FarmQuest #59 - they want to see farm or forest animals this round! I knew I wanted to do farm animals - this IS called Farm Quest, after all, lol.. I did this cute little milker, celebrating your birthday with you! She looks awesome against this sunny sheet from my Day at the Farm pack, and she has her milk cans all lined up to go! So fun to play with these cows, even though I had to fussy cut her body - the punch body goes the other direction, lol, and doesn't quite match! Anyway, I finished with a few quick Pearl Berries, too - so pretty! Cutest Cows Stamp Set; Day at the Farm DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Pretty in Pink, Gray Granite & Basic Black Blends Markers; Cutest Cow Builder & 1 1/4" Circle Punches; Pearl Berries; #FQCB59. RSVP today to save your spot! Now this is a sweet theme - Shopping Our Stash #529 wants us to create a "just because" card! Well, first I had to really root around and find the sentiment, lol. I finally spotted this one (shh, in the for sale box, lol) in Lovely You, which retired last year! I really loved that it mixed the fonts in the sentiments - my favorite look! Since this was a "just because," I decided I wanted it to be kind of Fall-y, and since I had spotted some old Rings of Love DSP while sorting through my stash, I knew just what sheet I wanted to feature! I pulled this pretty oak leaf and acorn sheet, and even fussy cut one little spray to feature with the sentiment. I even still have some Soft Suede to go with it all! I layered up some retired oval punches, and found a little wooden accent, too. A few chocolatey sequins finishes things off! So fun! Lovely You Stamp Set (retired 2023); Rings of Love DSP (retired); Basic White & Soft Suede (retired) CS; Soft Suede Ink (retired); Large Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches (both retired); Tags & Feathers Elements (retired); Neutrals Sequins; #SOS529. Christmas Cards Part 2 September 14! Time to finish up our Christmas cards ideas with part 2! So much to choose from! RSVP today to save your spot! Oo, here's a fun layered sketch for us from Sketch Saturday #758! I really wanted to break in another new Christmas set from the Holiday Mini - this one is the gorgeous Shepherd's Care set, just lovely! I decided I could totally make it work by flipping the sketch upside down so my shepherd could be looking at the star, lol, and I dressed up the star with my old Stitched Star dies - I'm loving how this came out! It seemed totally natural to pull out some of my carefully hoarded O Holy Night DSP for it, too - just the right touch! I didn't even color the shepherd - whoa! Shepherd's Care Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White & Boho Blue CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Boho Blue Inks; Deckled Rectangles & Stitched Star (retired) Dies; Boho Blue Glossy Dots; #SS758. What a fun sketch at this round's Inspire Create Challenge #175 - and I especially love how the design team showed the sketch TURNED, too! I couldn't resist finally inking up our new holiday bundle Christmas Friends for this one! I think of this set as a Christmas version of Fluffiest Friends, lol, and it has dies, too! Look how festive this cute polar bear looks! I did a quick layout with the Take a Bow DSP, and then colored up and cut my bear - I love how he looks! I did this simpler sentiment for the card front, but the "beary" one is on the inside! So fun! Christmas Friends Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White, Real Red & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Christmas Friends & Stylish Shapes Dies; Transparent Dots; #ICC175. Check out the fun porthole sketch we have for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #446! I knew I had a new set that I couldn't wait to try for this one - this is the playful Hang An Ornament bundle - so fun, and perfect for tags, too! I stamped ornaments in three different greens, and floated them over this awesome dotty sheet from the Take a Bow DSP pack. They were slightly too big, so I overlapped them a tiny bit! I think it's even cuter this way, lol. I dressed each ornament up with Gold Foil details, and coordinating belly bands from the same DSP! Even though the sentiment fits in the belly band space, I floated it underneath per the sketch - yay! I can't wait to see what YOU do with our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Hang An Ornament Stamp Set; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White & Gold Foil CS; Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green & Real Red Inks; Hang An Ornament Dies; Adhesive-Backed Peppermints; #HSS446. Another fun combo at this round's In{k}spire Me #541! Let's see what we can do! OK, after a couple attempts, I had to abandon the color part of the challenge, lol. It sort of reminds me of the Unbounded Beauty DSP, and that did NOT speak to me, lol. So, let's go Christmas! I DID spring for our beautiful new (and just barely upcoming - only one more day!) Artful Amaryllis bundle - I don't have this flower, and I usually get one as a gift every year at Christmas! LOVE them, they so remind me of my Grandmother, too - she loved bulbs of all kinds! Anyway, I landed on this Woodgrain DSP and Cherry Cobbler combo, hoping I could stamp my sentiment right on the DSP - and it worked! I meant to emboss my tilty panel, and totally forgot, phooey, but it's still pretty, I think! I finished with some of the Pearl Berries - hopefully they show enough! Artful Amaryllis Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Inks; Artful Amaryllis Dies; Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries; #IMC541. I have another double dip for you today, lol! We want to see the sentiment as the focus at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #164, AND I've added in our lovely colors from Sunday Stamps #343! This was a tough one! These are such autumnal colors, I had to really dig deep to make it Christmas, lol. The red, which I saw as Cherry Cobbler, was easy - likewise the pale blue, which I saw as Pool Party. How to smuggle in some yellows or oranges? I settled on our upcoming Christmas labels set for a featured sentiment - such bold and graphic sayings, with gorgeous labels to showcase them on! Maybe I could sneak in a couple little bells to swing from my pretty label - does it work? I'm on the fence, but I love pulling in new sets, lol. I even got in our new embossing folder - Forever Plaid! I can't wait to see YOUR projects at both our challenges! Meet you there! Christmas Labels & Golden Greenery Stamp Sets; Basic White, Lemon Lolly, Pool Party & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler, Lemon Lolly & Daffodil Delight Inks; Christmas Labels & Golden Greenery Dies; Forever Plaid EF; Cherry Cobbler Heavy Baker's Twine; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #SCC164; #SSC343. Ahhh, AAA Cards #272 hit me right where it counts, lol, ALL my favorite words right on the sketch: any shape/any color! Yes! It occurred to me that all the little yummies in our upcoming More Than Autumn bundle would be just the right size for this sketch - and all those "any shapes"... How delightful! I HAD to do this funny little pumpkin spice celebration! So fun, and I smiled and laughed the whole time I was making it, lol. I ALSO got to break out all the "food colors" for the coloring, too - Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, I almost felt bad about squeezing in the Crumb Cake, too! A few shiny sequins add some points of light, and I have just enough time to run for a foo-foo coffee before a meeting - perfect! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; More Than Autumn Dies; Shiny Sequins; #AAA272. |
