And we're back! We're kicking off the year at As You See It #364 with a fill in the blank challenge - "my newest craft purchase is...!" ...the Boardwalk Fun suite! It has so many cute elements, and I love the fresh beachy colors in the DSP! For today's card, I focused on the palm tree stamps and dies - there are three stamps in three different sizes, and two dies, and I decided to just layer away over this water reflection sheet from the DSP. And I'm finally using Summer Splash! Yes! I can't wait to see YOUR newest stash item - meet you at the challenge! And Happy New Year! Boardwalk Fun Stamp Set & Dies; Beach Boardwalk DSP; Basic White, Pool Party & Summer Splash CS; Summer Splash Ink; White Baker's Twine; Summer Splash Resin Dots; #AYSI364.

Aw, check out this cozy gathering at First Cup Challenge #10! I'm totally in! Going with the notion of togetherness, I pulled my Coffee With Friends set from last year. I love the image of these two ladies enjoying themselves over a cup! Rather than color in all the details, though I do love to color, lol, I opted for a line art feel stamped over a coordinating color - so pretty! I chose colors based on a sheet of DSP from the retired A Little Latte pack - I still love this paper so much! I really liked my "polaroid" style at an angle, too, and I did remember to add some Early Espresso linen thread around my background layers, whew. I finished with a few of the brown Swirl Dots, too! Coffee With Friends Stamp Set (retired 2025); A Little Latte DSP (retired); Basic White, Early Espresso & Petal Pink CS; Early Espresso Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Early Espresso Linen Thread; Swirl Dots; #FCC10. I just can't tell you how thrilled I am that we are back up and running with Retro Rubber #263!! What a slog! Appropriately, our kick-off challenge is "anything goes," and as I was browsing, I spotted 2004's Yee Haw, which sums up my excitement pretty well, lol. Of course, my favorite sentiment in this set is "rootin' tootin'" lol, so I set that up in the lasso shape, and added "birthday" to it. I also did a little cowboy hat for it, too, and floated it all over my favorite saguaro DSP from 2021's Flowering Cactus collection! Such good times! I can't wait to see you all again at the challenge - and don't forget to make it Retro! Yee Haw Stamp Set (retired 2001); Flowering Cactus DSP (retired); Basic White & Mint Macaron (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Early Espresso Inks; Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Streaked Dots; #RRCB263. Check out this wild slanty sketch that SU Only #392 has for us! I had to work pretty hard in my mind to translate this sketch into something more organic, lol. The tilted shapes seemed so rigid to me - how to transform that? I finally hit on layering some pretty clouds for my shapes, which led directly to thinking about our gorgeous Everyday Skies DSP for my background! Then I went on the hunt for an inspiring sentiment to float over it all - when I spotted this one in Sunrise Sailing, I knew I had it! I think this is also one of the few times I've worked in Azure Afternoon - such a happy blue! Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set; Everyday Skies DSP; Basic White & Azure Afternoon CS; Azure Afternoon Ink; Light & Wonder and Stylish Shapes Dies; Silver Sparkle Gems; #SUOC392. We would LOVE to see some patterned paper this round at Make My Monday #269! When I went through my DSP collections, I was a little shocked to see that the Perennial Lavender pack is STILL available! Wow! So I decided to use that - I love this Crumb Cake houndstooth sheet in there! I cut a few Stylish Rounds from a few other sheets for spots of color, then added some lavender sprigs from the Painted Lavender Dies, and this sympathy sentiment from the Something Fancy bundle - a sweet match for sure! I can't wait to see YOUR patterned paper projects - meet you at the challenge! Something Fancy Stamp Set & Dies (both retired 2025); Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather & Soft Succulent (retired) CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Painted Lavender Dies (retired); Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems (retired); #MMM269. We have a roly-poly little sketch for you today at Sunday Stamps #377! These little shapes seemed like the perfect chance to break in my new Gears & Textures bundle! As soon as I saw it in the Spring Mini Catty, I knew I wanted it for guy cards - so many pieces and patterns to play with! I started with a Country Woods DSP background, and went a little nuts stamping and stamping off with a few pattern and gears. Then I added the darker wood along the bottom, and added a Copper Foil chain link along the seam. Next up two sizes of gears in Brass and Galvanized Metal, and then a simple Birthday sentiment up top. Our old Industrial Trinkets seemed like a good finishing touch! I can't wait to see YOUR ideas for this fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Gears & Textures Stamp Set & Dies, and Simply Said Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso, Galvanized Metal, Brass Foil & Copper Foil CS; Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Gray Granite Inks; Industrial Trinkets (retired); #SSC377. Oh, wow! Check out the adorable "Cabin in Winter" cookies at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #212! Eee! This of course calls for Woodland Scenery, along with the ever-versatile Wishing You Joy! I broke my scene up into 3 different Stylish Squares, and added a touch of Puff Paint to the snow lines - this stuff is so fun to heat emboss, lol. I even added some Loose Snowflakes for accents that look pretty similar to the ones on the cookies! This set is such a playful one for setting up little scenes - it's like rearranging the doll house when I was a kid! Woodland Scenery & Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets; North Pole Delivery DSP; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate & Pool Party Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Snowfall Accents Puff Paint; Loose Snowflakes; #Cookie212. What a fun new day to celebrate! Festive Friday #200 is celebrating National Tulip Day this round! I really do love tulips - parrot tulips are my favorite flower! So I knew I wanted to stamp actual tulips, lol, and I still have my beloved Tranquil Tulips set from 2018 - my all-time favorite tulip set! It has no sentiments, so I pulled in the trusty Simply Said Set as well - perhaps my most-used stamp set ever, and that's saying something! Since I'm such a fan of parrot tulips, I attempted some interesting coloring on mine: I did the base in Daffodil Delight, and the second step in Pumpkin Pie, which I also daubed with Poppy Parade on the edge. I don't think it looks very much like parrot tulips, but it does convey the translucent look of tulips in the sun! Yay! I finished with a small Gingham Ribbon bow and some Tiny Bee Trinkets! I managed quite a few items from the list! Tranquil Tulips (retired 2018) & Simply Said Stamp Set; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade & Granny Apple Green Inks; Sponge Dauber; Deckled Rectangle Dies (retired); Black Gingham Ribbon; Tiny Bee Trinkets (retired); #FF0200. I am so honored to be guesting again at Time Out Challenge #304 - the theme this round is "all that glitters!" I couldn't help but think of our gorgeous Light & Wonder suite for this one, and I hoped I could cut some glimmer landscapes with the gorgeous dies! I chose this bold aurora sheet from the Lights of Aurora DSP, and got to work with some White Glimmer stock. It took some doing, but I was able to get this lovely tree layer from the glimmer, and then I went back and did a few clouds, too - just so pretty! I did an edge-to-edge background, then popped the trees up over that. I did a plain white "drift" layer, too, so I could stamp the sentiment. Once I got the clouds on there, I finished with some Frosted Iridescent Dots - yay! I can't wait to see YOUR glitter projects - see you at the challenge! Light & Wonder Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White & White Glimmer CS; Night of Navy Ink; Frosted Iridescent Dots; #TOC304. Birthday Cards Class 2026, January 10 at 2 pm! I decided t break in my new Blessed Beginnings bundle, which just became available yesterday in our latest Online Exclusives! I nabbed this one because I don't have a good church focal image, and this one was so pretty! It was just a bonus that it also has dies, though I didn't use them today. I went for some masking instead, and envisioned this one being good for a small country wedding, especially with my beloved Country Woods DSP for a background! I'm really pleased with how sweet this came out! Blessed Beginnings Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso, Old Olive & Versamark Inks; White EP; Water Painter Brush; Deckled Rectangle Dies (retired); Swirl Dots (retired); #NBUS82.
