3-2-06: Oh gosh, I never actually posted that last update, so now I have even more to do. Sigh, I'm really not reporting in very well these days! There are even more new pics in the Temari Gallery now and a couple new pics in my inkle gallery. I've also been up to some new tricks that can be seen on my soap page.
12-19-05: Oh goodness, look at the time! Oopsie. Well, I've been busy with Christmas gifts, as I'm sure we all are! In the mean-time, there are some new pics in the Temari Gallery, and updates to Reading This Month. Whew! Time to get the lead out and the cobwebs dusted! I hear war-drums in the distance!

8-21-05: I've started some new pages about my experience with a new toy, an 18th Century Tape Loom. It's maker has also agreed to help me with an earlier period box loom, so I've started a page of earlier narrow-ware looms in the artwork as well. Both new pages can be reached through my main inkle page. Enjoy!
8-16-04: OK, one more for the Temari Gallery.
8-14-05: Well, the new craft room is fabulous, so much room to work! Maybe I'll start getting some stuff done again, hee hee... Anyway, I finished my first mondo temari, 22" circumference. I took the picture on my 1" marked cutting mat and tried to leave in the background so you could get some idea of the scale. It was fun, but I'm not ready to jump on the next big one. I also used all different weights yarns, so the rose garden squares don't all match up nice. I filled in all the background with some fudging... Check it out at the end of the Temari Gallery.

5-4-05: Whew, I sure have been running around a lot! I do have a few minor updates and pictures for you, though. First, I received my wonderful shoes from Nativearth for the Nuremberg Dress. I had a stellar time at my first Tai Chi Camp in Big Bear, California. From there, I had a simply wonderful weekend in Ventura, California, giving a Beginning Inkle Weaving seminar for the Ventura County Handweavers & Spinners Guild. Thanks so much, ladies! I also have a few more new temari in the Temari Gallery.

1-24-05: A couple small updates in the Nuremberg Dress Diary. I decided this weekend to no longer worry about trying to finish this by Estrella War. I feel like all the costuming juice was sucked out of me with A Suitable Gown, and I want to still be able to enjoy the construction process of this gown. Right now, I feel like I am forcing it a bit too much for comfort, so I've decided to allow myself to take my own sweet time!
1-19-05: If you've taken a look at my Étui page, you've seen that I recently tried my hand at the art of temari, Japanese thread balls. Well, now temari is trying me! I can't seem to stop, so I thought I'd better put up a Temari Gallery.
1-12-05: A bit more in the Nuremberg Dress Diary. Also, I've started a new page, Étui, to cover all those weird little projects that are filling in the gaps. This page will be a mish-mash of whatever creative thing is currently distracting me from all the other stuff I already do, but I thought it would be fun to track for a while.

1-5-05: Whew! Time to get back in gear! So, while I take a survey of my long-neglected Nuremberg Dress Diary (Estrella War will be here in two shakes, I know), I have updated Reading This Week, so you can get a look at the new distractions coming up in my crafts this year!
12-22-04: I've put what I believe will be my final pictures in the Elizabethan Accessories Gallery, all taken from the library displays. Yay! It looks so awesome! (I added a little sweet bag, too.)
12-21-04: Well, in my humble opinion, the opening and show were an amazing success. We've been asked to do repeat performances at the other library branches later in the exhibit, hopefully in conjunction with performances by Musica Dolce, and have even had inquiries from the Phoenix Art Museum. There are a couple new shots from the show in the Elizabethan Accessories Gallery, but I hope to have more later this week. In all the excitement, of course we weren't able to take our own pictures! I'll be taking my Mom down to see the exhibit tomorrow, and I hope to get some good detail shots of our displays (which look fabulous!) while we're there. We'll have to get some good action shots at the other performances.

It's kind of getting in the way of costuming right now. I was able to get a few things done over the weekend, though, so there a few notes in the Nuremberg Dress Diary as well.

6-15-04: I've been continuing to refine the new Nuremberg Dress Diary pages, and I'm feeling a bit better about it now. There's also a couple new pictures in the Artwork page, and some comments in the Master Plan page. I had to rebuild the Artwork page altogether, something funky was happening with frames, so folks may need to update links, the new page's name is a slightly different, I think. Managing web pages is getting interesting!
6-14-04: OK, I had to break down and reorganize the Nuremberg Dress diary. I'm not too happy about it, I think this will make it harder for people to tell when I've added something new, but hopefully people are still checking here. It was just getting too big, and I've hardly started yet, plus, my continual review of artwork is increasing the number of pieces I now plan on doing so it's only going to get worse. As a consolation prize, I've added updates to the new Hair & Head-dress page showing Saragrace's vach experiments, very cool! I still have to add some internal links between the new pages, but ultimately I think this will be best in the end.

5-23-04: And when Colonial House isn't on, you can burn hours at the CH Website at PBS, or at Plimouth Plantation, CH's secret re-enactment weapon. Too bad I'm not still on the east coast. I think CROFT needs to take a road trip. Anyway, updates to the Nuremberg Dress diary have been added, and updates to Reading This Week now reflect some book orders that just came in. I have also made my first batch of true Castille soap, and it's coming along surprisingly well. Gotta love the new loaf mold and cutter! I might have to update the soap page with a picture of all my new soaps...

Also, I finally finished the new Flemish Kerchief with a wired brim. Very cute, I can't wait to try it with the rest of the outfit! I guess that won't be until the Concord Collegium. Oh well. Added some minor updates to the Nuremberg Dress diary, nothing much really. I've also been cleaning up some of my photo-intense pages to thumbnails, so they will load faster for folks. Hope that helps!

4-12-04: Addition to the Nuremberg Dress Diary, and added a new gallery for my Flemish Kerchief, for all those folks who keep asking me how I do that. I also added a pic of the beautiful dress hook that SG got for me for my Flemish Gown to that journal. She had a gentleman cast them from an actual antique dress hook. There are really no more excuses for me not to do the pointy partlet now. Off to the UK for a couple weeks, catch you back the first week of May. I can't wait to see the V&A!

2-20-04: Sorry about the gap, folks. The move really knocked me for a loop, and on top of that, DSL services just aren't as mobile as we could wish! We finally got tired of waiting and switched to Cox high-speed. I just couldn't bear to upload over my dial-up, sorry. I have been busy, though! Updates to my Flemish Gown journal are in place, though I don't have pictures of the completed pieces on me yet, I'll try to get them up by next week. I also added the PDF of my Beginning Alternating Pick-Up class instructions. Updated reading this week, but nothing exciting.
