We want to have a laugh this round at Make My Monday #212 - show us your punny funny sentiments! Today I went for 2020's Witty-cisms set to help me out, lol. I originally got this set for the cactus image (lookin' sharp!) but I think I have never used this chinchilla one! This was fun! I did a trio of Stylish circles using papers from the still-awesome Celebrate Everything pack - I was hoping this could pass for a guy card - I stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside! I love the look of these colors together! I can't wait to see YOUR punny cards this round - meet you at the challenge! Witty-cisms Stamp Set (retired 2020); Celebrate Everything DSP (retired); Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; White Matte Dots; #MMM212. Woo hoo! The Flower Challenge #85 has an "anything goes" challenge this round, BUT, it's their birthday! I think I know what I'll be doing, lol... I wanted bright and exuberant blooms for this one, so I went back to my In Bloom bundle, that retire in 2022. I just love these dies! So many combos we can do with them - I chose three main colors for the flowers, Daffodil Delight for the centers, and just went to town, lol. When I was done arranging everything, I tucked in some fun stitched leaves, too! This happy card is sure to bring a smile to someone! In Bloom Stamp Set; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight; Versamark, Sweet Sorbet & Daffodil Delight Inks; White EP; Pierced Blooms & Stylish Shapes Dies; Timeworn Type EF; Sweet Sorbet Pearls; #TFC85. So excited by the great combo at In{k}spire Me #516 this round! Love these colors! I was coming up crickets with what images to do with these colors, lol, so then I started wondering if I had any fun DSP in them - this is what I came up with! I have been loving the Masterfully Made pack as a source of quite a few oddball colors that I don't have anywhere else! And I finally cut into my last sheet of this retired Cherry Cobbler plaid today, too. They look so good together over the Timber-embossed Crumb Cake! I went with this belated birthday sentiment from Something Fancy, and finished with a few Crumb Cake Enamel Dots. I think this makes a great masculine card - yay! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Cherry Cobbler (retired) & Masterfully Made DSP; Basic White, Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake CS; Pretty Peacock Ink; Timber EF; Something Fancy Dies; Crumb Cake Enamel Dots; #IMC516. This will be fun - AAA Birthday #54 wants us to use our favorite colors this round! I really wanted to play with some critters today, and I wasn't sure I could find anything I could use for my favorite colors - green and purple - if I did, lol. A really crazy chicken? Then I spotted the bike-riding gator in Zany Zoo, and knew it was all good, lol. I also realized I could finally safely use one of the black and white patterns on the BACK of all the cute critter sheets in the DSP pack - I don't actually have any ballerinas in my life, lol. So I cut a strip of this sheet and used a blender brush to add Berry Burst for my purple. I colored my gator with BOTH lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green, and added a few Berry Burst details to the bike. At the last second I embossed the white panel with the retired Dot To Dot EF - looks like gator skin to me! I'm so happy with how cute this came out! Zany Zoo Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Berry Burst Inks; Granny apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Crumb Cake, Basic Black & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Zany Zoo Dies; Dot To Dot EF (retired); Berry Burst Tinsel Gems; #AAAB54. It's finally cooling off here in Arizona, lol, so I am thrilled with our Fall colors challenge at this round's Make My Monday #211! I knew I needed to pull out the awesome All About Autumn DSP for this one - the photo pages are just wonderful! Today I featured this aerial shot over turning leaves - time to break out a thermos to go with that cooler weather, too! Lol, sometimes you just want to play with ALL the Fall toys... I did some accents in Copper Clay, colored a tiny mountain scene sticker for the carafe, and, since today is hubby's birthday, threw in a birthday sentiment, too! That's a lot of action for one card! I can't wait to see your pretty Fall colors, too - meet you at the challenge! Warmest Heart & Hello Kiwi Stamp Sets; All About Autumn DSP; Very Vanilla & Copper Clay CS; Early Espresso & Copper Clay Inks; Mossy Meadow, Copper Clay & Wild Wheat Blends; Gathered Leaves Dies (retired); Classic Matte Dots in Very Vanilla; #MMM211. Class is on for Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! Yay! With a new month, AAA Birthday #53 is back, and they want to see animals on our cards this round - my fave! I decided I haven't been using my Zany Zoo enough - especially not the DSP I'm hoarding! I picked out this cheery elephant from the party sheet and added a little extra color with my Blends Markers - so easy! After fussy cutting him, I decided to dress up my background with my newly acquired Cheery Patterns embossing folders, too. For this first time out, I used them both! I finished with a few Fine Sparkle Gems for some low-key shine - love it! Zany Zoo Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP; Basic White, Basic Black & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Cheery Patterns EFs; 1 1/4" & 1 1/2" Circle Punches; Fine Sparkle Gems; #AAAB53. All About Autumn Focus Class Sep 16! I'm so excited to show off our gorgeous new Fall suite, All About Autumn, from our fresh new Holiday Mini Catalog! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! RSVP now to save your spot! Lol, I laughed out loud when I saw this round's theme at Shopping Our Stash #504 - "welcome to the jungle!" I knew right away I wanted to pull out my Rhino Ready bundle for this one! I first tried my hand at a little sunset sky behind some purple mountains with Blending Brushes, and then immediately covered most of it up with the rest, lol. I DID try! I brushed up a little green on my torn-edge foreground, and colored in my rhino of choice - love this one with the bird! Then I got to play with the gorgeous dies - a banyan tree, and some bright leaves! It's a jungle out there! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Crumb Cake & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight & Melon Mambo Inks; Blending Brushes; Gray Granite, Bubble Bath & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Rhino Ready & Nested Essentials Dies; Rustic Metallic Dots; #SOS504. Oh yum! Check out the book for the next round at The Library Challenge #84 - Jane's Patisserie - Celebrate! Time to start baking, lol! For today's card, I focused on that pretty rainbow cake, and I pulled out an old Paper Pumpkin set to put one together! Our February 2020 set, called Lovely Day, conveniently has a cute three-layer cake slice, that looks a lot like the one on the book cover! I stacked up two of those to make my six layers, and colored it to match the cover! I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and you know I always like to fussy cut, lol... Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set (Feb 2020); Bubble Bath DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Bubble Bath, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody (retired), Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party & Fresh Freesia Blends Markers; Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Pink; #TLC84. I really can't think of a better theme than the "at the beach" one we have this round at As You See It#306! And for me, when I think "beach," I will forever be thinking of Maui, which is so much a home away from home for us. It's sadly bittersweet right now, because I also can't help but think of all the tragedy Maui is going through right now with the terrible fires, particularly in Lahaina, with its near-total destruction. Lahaina was always central to our Maui travels, and my heart is so broken for all the lovely people there. I pray for their peace and healing constantly as the situation continues to unfold... The simple scene I created for today's card says everything about this gorgeous and loving island - it truly is and always will be paradise! Paradise Palms Stamp Set (retired 2023); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Inks; Pecan Pie & Granny Apple Green Stamp-n-Write Markers; Whale of a Time Sequins (retired); #AYSI306. Club is free for my subscribers, and includes any extra supplies you might need, plus drinks and snacks! Just bring your own snips and basic adhesive! Remember to subscribe here if you haven't already - sign up by September 10 and you can join us in time for next month! This looks interesting - The Flower Challenge #83 would like us to also add dots or stripes to our design - cool! I got to try a couple things I've been thinking of lately on this card, lol. First up, I can finally break in my new Dots & Spots die! Such an easy way to add a little something to the whole background, and I decided to tilt my fashion layer a little diagonally on the die, hoping it would make the finished result look a little more random. I think it worked, even though it's a very uniform die! Next, I wanted to try a full triple layer of our Cheerful Daisies dies - it really adds a lot of depth! I chose Lemon Lolly for my flower color, I need to let this color grow on me a little more, I think, lol. Anyway, dots accomplished! Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set; Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist & Lemon Lolly CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pecan Pie, Lemon Lolly & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Cheerful Daisies & Dots & Spots Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #TFC83.
