Flemish Gown Gallery

Here are the pictures I have so far of my Flemish Gown pieces.  Clicking on the thumbnails will take you to a larger version.

Smock Front

My smock has a center front smocked panel in black and gold, with matching smocking at the cuffs.

Smock Side

Good shot of how my kerchief drapes. Did I mention that this is now my head covering of choice?

Smock Detail

For people who want to see this up close! I cheated and used Saragrace's pleating machine, it's awesome.

Kirtle

Here's the blue side, from the side.

Kirtle Back

Spiral-laced, with hand-sewn lacing holes.

Kirtle Reverse

Here's the green from the other side. It reverses very well, no puckering anywhere.

Green Kirtle

Here's the green side out. Bad ironing day at the hem, sorry...

Kirtle Reverse 2

Now here's a peek at the blue side from the green!

Outer Gown Front

Yup, the trapezoid shape corrected the hang of the front edges.

Outer Gown Side

This new skirt is a bit longer than the original, too.

Outer Gown Back

Check out those fashion lines! I'll never be a quilter...

With Sleeves & Partlet

The complete ensemble.

Accessories From the Back

I can't emphasize how comfortable this was to work in all day, too. Maybe all the extra padding on the bum was what did it.

Pinned Back

I originally thought I would usually wear this pinned back, but I actually like it down better after all. Still, I wanted to see what it looked like.

Pinned Back Side

I do like it from the side, though...

Pinned Back Back

And this drape is pretty darn cool if I do say so myself! All in all, I am SO pleased with this outfit.
