OK, enough people asked for a quick class for that shadow box that I guess that has made the menu!  To round out the Easter decor, we'll also have this banner, make sure to click on the picture to go to a full size version, and you can go here for a detail photo.  With Sale-A-Bration winding down, I decided that it was a good time to start using up our almost gone Everyday Enchantment DSP (sob!), so this banner is that result!  You can make yours say what you like, no more than 10 or 11 letters please!  If you let me know ahead of time, I can try to have your letters ready for you - otherwise, the banner says, "Alleluia!"

Class will be held this Wednesday evening, Mar 28, 6:30 pm.  Make sure to RSVP, as it's coming on fast, and I want to prep as much as I can for you!

Had some time to just play today - can't remember when the last time that was!  I decided that I need to keep the trend going of filling in my shadow box inserts, so even though I love my Easter decorations already, what's a little bit more?
I was so sad at the retirement of A Good Egg, had to trot it out for this project, along with the also retired Bunny Hugs.  I have been SO stuck on this Cheerful Treat DSP, too, but the colors really do go with my other decorations...  Plus, I want to use it while it's still current - can't believe the new catalog comes in June!  Enjoy!

Bonus class, anyone?

Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Concord Crush, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue & Lucky Limeade CS; Cheerful Treat DSP; A Good Egg, Bunny Hugs, Crosses of Hope & Well Scripted stamp sets; Lucky Limeade Ruffled & Organdy ribbons; Lace Ribbon Border, Key Tag & Decorative Label punches

Hi Everyone!  Wanted to post a quick picture for next week's Easter class, which includes a quick bonus project for this cute "basket" made with the Perfect Settings die!  Yes, you still get a treat from me, too!

Let me know if you can make it - I need some time with my ladies after Spring Break last week!  Ack!

I FINALLY  got around to ordering the Brushed Gold CS (and the Brushed Silver!) that matches the waffle paper, for this last Easter card sample for Mom.  I used another cross embossed in gold from the lovely Crosses of Hope set, and worked samples on three different papers, again.  I'm still using the sentiment she chose that I printed out for the cards...

Crosses of Hope stamp set, gold waffle paper trim, Brushed Gold CS accents.

One of the things I miss most about living in Virginia is the dogwood blooming every spring.  I've wanted to try to keep a mini in a pot here in AZ for years, but it's just too dry, sigh.  There's nothing like hillsides covered with dogwood in bloom, because of course, "It's a tree AND a flower," as they say in The American President!  What a riot...
So I knew I wanted to use the Soft Summer set for one of Mom's Easter designs - this is the second iteration.  The In-Color ribbon makes for bulky bows, let's just say, OK?

Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Whisper White CS,Soft Summer, colored with In Color markers.  Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  Sentiment printed on Laserjet printer.

Mom asked me to work up a few Easter card designs for her to try her hand at, so I've been playing with that today - here's the first one, in three basic colors, with Pear Pizazz accents.  She asked me to use this sentiment, so I fancied it up font-wise and printed it out on my printer...  I think it works pretty good!
I have some ideas for another one of the crosses from this stamp set as well, that'll be coming up next!

Whisper White, Very Vanilla or Crumb Cake CS, with Pear Pizzazz CS accents.  Tulip Frame and Square Lattice embossing folders, black embossing with Pear Pizzazz and Always Apricot markers coloring.  Lots of dimensionals!  Sentiments produced on laserjet printer.
